Student accommodation gone holiday rental. Convenient location next to the tram. The room was basic as you’d expect- small double bed/desk/wardrobe/en-suite bathroom. Towels are provided but there wasn’t even any hand soap. The room was not clean. I pulled back the duvet to find small brown stains (looked like blood) and pink pen stains on the sheets. The toilet was disgustingly filthy and there was dried toothpaste down the side of the sink. On booking this accommodation we contacted Highfield House to request early check in. Their response was basically, if there was someone staying in the room the previous night, that would not be possible. Check in time was 2-3pm. We arrived at 3pm to be told that our room was not ready, so we were ignored for 20 minutes before we asked once again. The receptionist sent someone off to check, and suddenly our room was ready. This accommodation was basic and it did the job, but it was so overpriced at €145 a night. Worth also noting that there is a bus depot behind, and although the tram stop next door is handy, it is noisy. We were visiting Dublin for a gig, during a hugely busy weekend, so it was the cheapest and only option, but if you have a choice, I’d advise against staying here!

Busy Dublin weekend with festivals, meaning big money for all accommodation- we choose this place which was a mistake. Dirty toilet, grubby sheets, room not ready, and top dollar paid. Avoid if paying more than €50 - even that won’t get you soup to wash your hands btw

This is not a hotel, but a student accommodation. When I checked in they said that it’s hostel, and their advertisement was wrong. It’s very cheap usually but when I booked (6 months in advance) due to their advertisements or some other problem I was given almost double the price it is usually available. Despite accepting the fault (wrong advertisement and pricing) the lady (she was super rude all the time) at the reception who was also in change of the hostel said she won’t give any discount or refund, as I have already checked in. They won’t give you extra towels, you have to use the 2 bath tools for the entire stay. No toiletries in room. It’s just a bed and empty cupboards, and a washroom. Won’t stay again won’t recommend if you are paying a hotel price.

The room is barren and does not look like the staged pictures on ***********. No TV despite one being advertised. There isn’t even soap to wash your hands in the bathroom. Since I arrived, people have let themselves into my room twice! Would never stay here again, don’t even know how I’ll sleep tonight. Pay the extra and stay somewhere else.

Just come back from a top weekend in Dublin staying at highfield house. Rooms are perfect for what we needed, bathrooms spot on, comfy double beds. There was a large group of us, thry had a huge kitchen for us to use and staff couldn't do enough! Consistently polite and helpful whenever we needed help no matter what time. There's a tram stop right next door to get into and around the city which was extremely useful. Would definitely recommend for a self catering trip.
