Beautiful hotel in a peaceful and gorgeous part of Dublin. A few minutes walk away from the Green Line LUAS. The more compact bedrooms are a bit on the small side for a couple, but they’re still well appointed, very new and clean, and comfortable. The hotel bar is cosy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the lack of parking, you’ll have to park onstreet at fairly considerable expense. Not really the fault of the hotel, but it is something to note if you’re driving here.

We flew into Dublin T1, arriving 12:30 and caught the 784 bus - the stop is literally outside the terminal. A quick and efficent journey straight to Charlotte Way, across the road and into Camden Court for lunch. The hotel staff were friendly, but what really blew us away was the goats cheese salad ..... WOW... sadly we didn't stay at the hotel, but instead caught a 5 minute cab ride to our hotel...

Nice hotel. Looks and feels new. Location is good. Central and easily accessible for my purpose. Its effectively in the city itself. There's even an outdoor area for people to enjoy the external environment. Wifi worked fine. There's a bar for those who want to have couple of drinks, and the breakfast spread is decent. I would certainly consider staying again in future

Hostels around the world need to take note of what a real hostel is — and that's Jacobs Inn Hostel in Dublin. Located in the center of Dublin and easy to locate, you're greeted with friendly, warm staff who can help you with anything you need. Advice on landmarks, restaurants, events, they have an answer. The commons area is packed full of people working, socializing or just simply relaxing. Music is not too loud so communicating and working is made easy. It's very atmospheric and it's a great place to make new friends on your travels. It's amazing decorated and their bar/dining area is incredible. Breakfast is served and you're offered a good variety to choose from. The rooms, or pods, are clean, well-maintained and the bathrooms are neat. You're afforded privacy in a modern fashion.

I live on the 6th floor. There are 18 rooms on each floor with 12 beds in each room. There are two toilets and two bathrooms on each floor. Fortunately, many people know how to shower, so they are enough. Bath towel €2. You have to enter the room with a key card. Remember to bring the lock to the locker. There are many homeless people in the lift lobby on the two floors who can come and go freely. There are USB plugs, two lights, and curtains. Turning on the heating in winter is a bit hotter, and it avoids the symphony of snoring, making it difficult to fall asleep. Most people prepare to go out to the bar in the evening and return after 2am. The location is in a central area, and there are many drunk people peeing everywhere after dark, so you have to watch the road.

This hotel is incredible and I’m so happy I took a chance and made a reservation despite that I wasn’t sure as it was my first time visiting Dublin. The hospitality, the facilities and the location right in the heart of the city was PERFECT! They even help me schedule my tours and coordinate everything! My birthday was a Wednesday and the reception team sent me a sweet note, a box of chocolates and tickets for complementary drinks. This detail I will forever remember it and a special thank you to Dylan and Karen for showing up to my room and surprise me on my bday. Hope everyone can get to experience what I did this week. Thank you, Thank you Thank you!!! Going back home feeling happy, blessed and in love with this beautiful country. I will be back for sure 🇮🇪 Take care, Carla from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

Point A Hotel, what can I say. Well presented inside and out, the access to bedrooms locked behind a key card, the bar and breakfast area also immaculate. As you enter your bedroom it is well organised and has everything you need. The bed was a firm mattress but that was perfect, a surprised samsung 43” TV was waiting to be watched from the wall. With LED strip lights and mode lights all around the room and a decent air con to go with. The room had a safe but i never needed to use it. The one LED strip light on the curtain track was losing its stick and i had to reattach it everytime the curtains where opened. Speaking of which the arrangement I felt was weird as it typically goes curtain than net curtain from inside looking out, this hotel went net curtain then curtain. Maybe you do get some rooms with a view, i most certainly did not, considering how close it is to the heart of the city and Temple Bar. My window view consisted of an opposite rooms window and exterior build walls and a steep drop down below. If you are looking for a well presented hotel with decent sleep quality, this hotel is for you, if you are on your own this hotel may not be for you, due to its lack of hot meals at breakfast and throughout the day. For a hotel at £180 a night, you could easily get a hotel with a hot food breakfast and evening meals nearby, the price structure like the rest of Dublin is overpriced for what it is, one of the cheaper priced hotels but still not worth the price. The breakfast was ”okay” you had a selection of 2 cheeses, 3 sandwich meats, 3-5 pastry options like pain au chocolat, croissants, scones, sausage rolls and mini bread rolls / baguettes. Was some cereal options too, a choice between orange juice, apple juice and ice water, then your usual hot drinks choice. It was all fresh and well presented, i just wish it had a cooked option too. In terms of location, ignoring the building opposite that was a form whiskey shop. It was great, right around the corner from O'connell Street, where it was incredibly busy, multiple shopping centre esque buildings along each side street, with id say 10 minutes you can be in Temple Bar area on the South Side of the River by foot. With such easy access to trams, buses, taxis near enough on your doorstep, and the far enough away from Temple Bar to not hear it, but close enough to go there was ideal. In quiet traffic from the airport you can make it in 15minutes. So to summarise, it was a good, but overpriced

Comfy stay, rooms were clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread was small but delicious. Hotel is in the vicinity of four supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and a polish place I can’t remember the name of but they had great bread) and <10min drive away from the north dock conference center which was convenient for my work trip.

Lovely budget hotel about 20 mins walk from Temple Bar area. Upon arrival nothing was too much and a warm welcome from Diana , giving us a coffee as we had come in on an early morning flight. Rooms were clean and basic. Comfortable bed , lovely clean shower room with powerful shower. A bit tight for room but it was only a base to get our heads down and change. There is a vending machine for morning coffee … easy walk into town… just follow the tram tracks , and easy for the Guinness Storehouse and Jameson Distillery. Excellent value for money if you’re going to be spending most of your time away from the hotel , but comfortable enough to unwind for a few hours too.

We had previously stayed in this hotel with our son when we were in Blanchardstown for a rugby event. This time my wife and I spent a night in the hotel to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I had told Graham who was the reception manager about our anniversary and he arranged for chocolates and cake to be delivered to our room. Graham also arranged for us to have a Premium room, which was beautifully decorated. We spent a lovely day in Blanchardstown and enjoyed having breakfast in the room, which was first class and piping hot. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough and have already done so to my friends, we will definitely return!

GGuest UserI stayed for four nights with my teenage daughter on a mother-daughter trip. Got a great rate booking a few months in advance, and I am so impressed with the value received for the price. We were given a room with two beds on the top floor facing the courtyard- it was quiet and comfortable. I brought earplugs after reading some reviews about noise, but we didn’t need them. The bathroom was updated and the shower was great- hot and nice pressure. The beds were a little “creaky” but comfortable, and the linens were cozy. The hotel staff were helpful, the restaurant was good for breakfast (although we chose to eat elsewhere most mornings) and Darkey Kelly’s pub on the first floor had great food and music. The location is fantastic- we were able to walk pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. I really can’t find a single fault with this hotel for the price. Would definitely stay again.

GGuest UserWe booked the Wilder last minute. The location is central but also not right in the middle so it was nice to chill away from the hustle and bustle of town yet it was easy to walk to. The staff were very easy to deal with and the cleaners and room staff were lovely and really helpful as were the bar staff. The complimentary gin and tonic, and the turn down room service in the evening were a lovely touch. The two next door rooms decided to have a party at about 1145 which went for half an hour so i called reception and they quickly contacted the rooms, and I was able to get to sleep. The ONLY thing i would say is we upgraded our room but our shower was tiny, im 6ft 2 so thought it was me but even my wife who is 5'5 found it hard to move in the thing. Apart from that I would recommend it to anyone as a perfect place for couple of business trips.

GGuest UserStayed here in Dec 2020 when Ireland was still under Covid restrictions. We availed of the offer Dublin for Dubliners which gave a free room when 2 people booked to bring up to 2 friends with you. We didn't leave the hotel. From arrival to departure the hotel felt extremely safe and spotlessly clean. A manager knocked into the room to ensure everything was ok and we were happy with everything. The decor and finishes of the rooms are top endm with little quirky pieces like record player in room and a great music selection. We ate in the restaurant and the food was absolutely gorgeous. I'm looking forward to going back as soon as I can (booking is already made but covid impacting dates) to enjoy the fabulous food. We also sampled more than enough of the cocktail menu and all were proper well mixed drinks, not syrupy rubbish. For me the standout part of the stay was the staff, from reserving the room, check in staff, servers in the restaurant and bar, night staff, every single one of them was friendly, smiley, polite with the right level of interaction. This made our stay. We stayed here so that we could meet up in a safe way and have a nice meal and drinks and retire to our rooms for a few more drinks limiting our contacts. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning. Next stop is the penthouse!!

SSteven FaganThe junior staff were amazing, senior staff were up themselves, location was great hotel was clean. The dining area was too small and for a 4 star hotel I would've expected my breakfast served, not help yourself style you would find at a travel lodge. In short over priced rooms no lesuire facilities and for 4 mojitos cost €50 I've had better value for money elsewhere. First and last time I will stay here!!!

CCynthia MilesAlthough the whole area was under construction, the actual location was excellent. We walked almost everywhere to all major attractions such as Parliament, Big Ben, the Eye, Westminster Abbey, the Bridges, etc. As a runner it was easy to simply follow the Thames so I wouldn’t get lost. I liked the Gym and Pool and especially loved the restaurant. The restaurant was very dirty, the seats needed to be brushed out and wiped down, even the chair legs were greasy looking BUT the food was really good. The bar did not carry any Cabernet wine which was odd.. our bar tender Danny was very good and friendly. I liked our suite, it looked over the railroad tracks but worth it for us with 2 teenage boys to have the suite. The entrance to the hotel was extremely over bearing with a strong perfumed air freshener… it made it difficult to breathe upon entering but as soon as I got away from it in the elevator I could breathe. Overall, it was a good place to stay for a vacation in London.

GGuest UserI paid for my granddaughter to stay at the Gresham for a weekend as a birthday treat. (She was 21). She took her boyfriend in tow and this is a first hand review from them - coz the family all know I love putting reviews on. I do think people deserve them. The check in was very quick and efficient. The staff were lovely they said. The room was more than they expected, the hotel had upgraded them to a superior king on the request of Vincenzo (the reservation supervisor) - what a lovely man..! I had spoke to him personally the week before and he upgraded them without being asked. The room was warm, comfortable and so very noticeably clean. The couple were so impressed with everything. I’m told the best thing (which could not fit into a suitcase) was the shower cubicle. Jack in 6ft 4ins and was thrilled to be able to stand up in the shower. A simple thing but important for taller people. The bed was long enough for him too. They did have a meal in the restaurant that first evening and when I asked for a score out of 10 for the food I was told 50/10…. You can see the photos and although the quantity might not be overwhelming the steak was so perfect, the fish so fresh that the plates were cleared and they said they were stuffed.! So, two nights in the hotel, two breakfasts that were also hot, well cooked and a great choice of continental and main. Not one complaint. mmmm well, maybe one. It seems the housekeeping do start early and woke our couple up both days but sure that got them on the move for breakfast. So, this is where I thank the hotel for giving my granddaughter a lovely, homely time. If she had been disappointed I would be writing something different without question. Now the rest of the family can’t wait to go - it’s been a while since we were there. It’s also lovely to know the Gresham still has its long time great reputation.

GGuest UserLast time I stayed here ( about 6 years ago?) room was dirty so have not been back again until three weeks ago. Location is superb right at the edge of Temple bar along the River Liffey -downside its a party area so like most Hotels in this area dont plan to sleep until late as lots of noise from bars etc. Room was lovely with lots of nice touches -only big issues I had was in 12c Dublin coming from 32c Jakarta and central heating did not work-you have to call reception to get it switched on then it cuts off every hour and does not work again until you call reception-totally unacceptable for a 5 star Hotel . Ended calling them five times so not much sleep!! It was a Tuesday night so looked like one of the bars in the Hotel was shut-but lots outside anyhow. Did not have breakfast as last time I did was served-took ages and was cold-judging by recent reviews on tripadvisor looks like this still. Reception on check in and out would not win any prizes for their hospitality and were just ok-could learn from The Morrison across the river where I stayed a few nights earlier -genuine hospitality. Would I stay there again -NO -leave it to Bono and the locals -heat is a basic requirement as is hospitality-better Hotels for the same or less money to be had in Dublin City.

PPhotoguyThe location is great, super close to the center and transit. The staff are friendly enough, and the room is clean. There are some things that could be fixed, for example, the water pressure is not that strong, but it’s fine for a shower, just not super strong. The pillows are a little stiff. The wall outlets are the standard three prong, but the bathroom is two prong, but the hair dryer they have doesn’t fit the bathroom outlet. The last thing…I booked a standard double, as the pictures showed a room within a table and a couch, with a larger bathroom…my room had none of those. Only reason I didn’t talk to the staff is because I know they would say, “the pictures are just an example, and rooms vary” so it wasn’t worth complaining about, but disappointing since I paid more for a double, but pretty certain I got a single. But the room is clean, and the location is good. For the price, it’s acceptable.

GGuest UserWe arrived on time and there were only 3 car parking spaces outside, one of which was taken up by a service vehicle which had been there for five days and management hadn't bothered trying to move it. There are no staff on site and we were promised a code by email to get into the hotel but it never arrived. Eventually we got one by phoning a mobile number. The website told us we could get in to our room at 2pm but the cleaner didn't finish cleaning it until 3.30pm. The room was shabby and dusty and three storeys up with no lift and the beds were uncomfortable. The cost of a twin room with no breakfast was a ridiculously expensive 350 euros. The only facilities downstairs were a fridge and a microwave. At 9.45am, the cleaner rapped our bedroom door and asked us to leave. Check-out time was 10am. The so-called free Wifi didn't work. We met four other couples who were equally disgusted and frustrated. Avoid this hotel which is more like a badly run hostel.

GGuest UserHaving read all the previous reviews on this hotel, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We weren’t expecting much more than the reviews has suggested- a noisy night in an old run down hotel. Everyone else had made it sound like a dingy little hotel that was loud and not up to standard. To our pleasant surprise, it was actually a lovely place to stay. The rooms were spotless clean, with comfortable beds, tv, kettle, sitting area and plenty of space. Bathrooms were also spotless, again with plenty of space and a nice shower. The reception staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The manager of the hotel happened to be there on the night (New Years Eve 2022) and informed us that it was the first night in almost 3 years that the hotel had opened its doors again to guests. It became clear at this point that maybe the hotel had done some renovating to refresh the place. It is a lovely hotel, can’t fault the staff, the rooms, or the location. It is based on one of the most popular streets in city centre for young adult night life and is waking distance (5 minutes) to St.Stephen’s Green, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The luas is also right on your doorstep. Unlike other guest reviews, we didn’t suffer from any loud noises or the music from the nightclub below us. They do provide complimentary ear plugs for all guests in the rooms, however, we didn’t need them thankfully. Again, possibly an improvement that was made. The only thing we do recommend, is that they make some modern improvements to the lift, which is a 2 person lift, very small and slow; and that they improve on the breakfast layout, perhaps a buffet style along with the continental breakfast in a more suitable room rather than one of the back function rooms. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay here again.
