Very Good
GGuest UserI think this will be a nice stay once their remodel is done, but wait until then.
When booked initially, the reservation was for the Hard Rock Hotel. About a week and a half before I arrived, NYX acquired the building. We received no notification about this from either business. The hotel was slightly outdated and undergoing the beginnings of redecoration. The staff seemed to either be hired by NYX and unfamiliar with the hotel or previous employees who were unfamiliar with the new management’s policies. For example, the manual chain lock on my door had been disabled in both of our rooms and the staff at the desk didn’t seem to understand how it had happened. They did move me to a room with a working manual lock immediately, but didn’t seem to understand why I felt the need for one as a single woman in the room and assured me that the staff would respect my privacy. The person in the other room in our booking also had his disabled but didn’t want to bother moving. The next day, housekeeping barged into his room without waiting for an answer to her knock. The person inside was just finishing dressing.
Other than that, it’s just little things that haven’t yet been worked out in the management change. For example their card scanners in the rooms and elevators seem to be new and still finicky, and the person at reception hadn’t read the laundry policy on the NYX laundry slips in the rooms. The slips specified it would be back by 6pm if picked up by 8am, but she said it might be the next day. She also had me bring the laundry down to the reception desk when the slip said it would be picked up. The staff was actually really great and when I pointed it out I did get same day laundry; it seemed like a new management miscommunication.
Overall, I’d recommend staying here after they’ve had a chance to settle and remodel. They were already starting to take down the Hard Rock decorations and I suspect they will also redo the older and brightly colored carpets and walls. Since we didn’t receive any notifications about the new management and redecorating, I’m not sure there will be one about that either.
GGuest UserExcellent hotel. Amazing breakfast and lovely room. Only issue we had was that our room was cold and we were unable to raise the temperature with the unit in the room
GGuest UserWe arrived around 5.30pm and stayed only one night. The welcome drink was a nice touch but however in the morning there was lots of banging next door to our room. My husband was up all night with a cold so we hadn’t slept much. When we walked out of our room at 9.30 am to have breakfast the cleaners were sitting in armchairs with their vacuums and cleaning g products. It felt like they were waiting for us to go. When we returned to our room to pack up ( check out is 12) there was a knock at our door at 11.30 by cleaners. It felt like a lot of pressure for us to get out and no privacy as they were siting outside.
The staff at breakfast hovered and were on top of us and asked us to order straight away before we even read the menu. The wait for the food was long and my eggs were cold when they came out.
There is no lift to our floor so passing the cleaners sitting in armchairs we also passed cleaners sitting on the stairs. The whole experience felt unwelcoming and not private.
The hotel it self is well located and beautiful interiors but wouldn’t stay there again. We have stayed at a lot of boutique and 5 star hotels all over the world and this was just average.
BBryce van de LaarIt’s a good hostel. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a good sense of security. They also run a lot of events like pub crawls, quiz nights and walking tours which are great for getting to know the city and meeting fellow travelers.
I stayed in a four pod room which had a locker for each and its own bathroom. It was clean and quite large and because of the small group, there was never a queue to use the facilities.
The restaurant/ pub attached is good and reasonably priced. I had a really satisfying cup of coffee.
It is quite well located, but not ideal. It’s down an alley which is totally fine, but feels dodgy. It is also just further out of the fun parts of the city than I would like.
GGuest UserLast time I stayed here ( about 6 years ago?) room was dirty so have not been back again until three weeks ago. Location is superb right at the edge of Temple bar along the River Liffey -downside its a party area so like most Hotels in this area dont plan to sleep until late as lots of noise from bars etc. Room was lovely with lots of nice touches -only big issues I had was in 12c Dublin coming from 32c Jakarta and central heating did not work-you have to call reception to get it switched on then it cuts off every hour and does not work again until you call reception-totally unacceptable for a 5 star Hotel . Ended calling them five times so not much sleep!! It was a Tuesday night so looked like one of the bars in the Hotel was shut-but lots outside anyhow. Did not have breakfast as last time I did was served-took ages and was cold-judging by recent reviews on tripadvisor looks like this still. Reception on check in and out would not win any prizes for their hospitality and were just ok-could learn from The Morrison across the river where I stayed a few nights earlier -genuine hospitality. Would I stay there again -NO -leave it to Bono and the locals -heat is a basic requirement as is hospitality-better Hotels for the same or less money to be had in Dublin City.
FFelipeVery comfortable hotel, 15 minutes walk from the center, large and very comfortable rooms, Irish buffet breakfast and very quiet. At first I had my doubts because of the proximity of the train but without problems, you can't hear it. Total satisfaction and from the Dublin Georges Quay Ulster Bank bus stop, it takes about 10 minutes to walk.
GGuest UserA Memorable Journey to Ireland: The Land of Beauty and Legends
My trip to Ireland was one of the most remarkable experiences l've ever had. From the moment I set foot on its land, I felt the charm of the breathtaking nature that surrounds everything, along with the perfect blend of ancient history and modern life.
The Beginning: A Warm Welcome in
Dublin
My journey began in the capital, Dublin, where I was greeted by friendly people who made me feel at home. I enjoyed visiting the Trinity College Library and seeing the famous Book of Kells, a masterpiece that reflects the brilliance of medieval art. I also strolled through the Temple Bar area, bustling with cafes, restaurants, and live music, which added a special flavor to the trip.
Ireland's Enchanting Nature
What truly sets Ireland apart is its stunning green landscapes. I took a tour to the Cliffs of Moher, which were breathtakingly beautiful...
NNick89I stayed for 3 weeks at the generator.
Hostel is very nice, each bed had 2 power points and a light which was great. I had a private ensuite in the room but the toilet broke twice and was actually one of the most difficult toilets to flush I have ever encountered.
Other bathrooms available in the basement were dirty always. They also had renovations going while I stayed which made noise an issue some days.
They had too many children staying who often ran around the bar area screaming which was highly unenjoyable.
It had agood bar there but prices went up halfway through my stay. It has a good variety which food on offer was good and typical pub food. I wish they had a kitchen for guests to use, but there were many good food options around and several grocery stores too.
They had event search night but I didn't partake in them and security worked the door during the night on weekends and often during the day.
You could walk almost anywhere or the tram was a close walk also.
Close to some great pubs such as the cobblestone.
Generator is more of a party hostel than other places Ive stayed
Is a recommend.
GGuest UserMy stay at the easyHotel in Dublin was great. The rooms were nice and very clean. The bedroom and bathroom were both modern. The hotel was in a good location to lots of tourist attractions, especially the Guinness storehouse. The room was quite small but fit everything we needed so this wasn’t a problem at all. I would recommend this hotel looking for a convenient and clean place to say.
GGuest UserThe accommodation is well located and easy to access, even if the email with the access codes is long and poorly explained. There is a code to enter the house and one to enter the room. In the room, 6 capsules, no lock on the capsules. Lockers are available but you have to pay a 20eur deposit. The bed is comfortable, however the capsules are plastic and excessively noisy if someone gets up. There are 3 relatively clean bathrooms/toilets but few for the number of rooms. Ideal for one night but no more
