Great service from a welcoming and dedicated staff. Our room was terrific with incredible views of Lake Superior. It’s perfectly located near Canal Park and has shops and restaurants on site. We’ve stayed twice now and we’ll definitely be back!

My husband took me to Fitger's for my birthday and we had the best time. We had a balcony suite overlooking Lake Superior and the weather was perfect. We did have a bit of a storm one night; but it made for a beautiful rainbow over the water. The location of Fitger's is perfect. It is a lovely walk to the Rose Garden and not far from Canal Park. We enjoyed eating at Fitger's, ordering pizza from Pizza Luce and frequenting other local eating establishments. Loved the champagne and flute glasses and enjoyed that out on the balcony with a book. I love the touches at Fitger's; from the Aveda products, to the water bottles and snacks with coffee in the morning. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Our room was beautiful, clean and lovely. Thank you!!

Loved I was able to go grab a few unique beverages from the local store within the building. However, the facility was very dirty. Scuff marks everywhere; Cobwebs in the windowsill; tons of dust to the point I needed to get a Benadryl (thank goodness the front desk had some, but I paid for them. Under the furniture wasn’t vacuumed in a very long time nor were the 20’ curtains & walls. Beautiful hotel; just needs a cleanly type A person to get it back to a 5 star hotel.

I love the history of this old building. The views of the lake are wonderful. Right on the boardwalk so quick access to Canal Park and downtown. I love having the attached shops and restaurants, not to mention the brewery!

The location is superb - on the lake, easy access to lakewalk, Canal area, and downtown, good retail/food options. Some recent remodeling (new bathroom, eg). Service in the past has been a strong point but was spotty and disappointing this year. Shuttle service is a plus - nice drivers, free pickup from airport, and they took me to the phone store when I needed to get my phone fixed.

Very good location on the lake but away from busy channel park. It is an easy walk down the water front boardwalk to the park if desired. The hotel has very comfortable rooms, great views and seating in back, restaurants, and a large, well curated shopping building. Best place to stay in Duluth in our opinion.
