A bonnie town right on the Clyde, Dumbarton is the gateway to the Lowlands, and the Premier Inn Hotel Dumbarton is the place to stay. Whether you're enjoying the highlife at a wedding at nearby Cameron House, or you're simply breaking the journey on your way to the Highlands, there's plenty to see and do. From walking round the banks of Loch Lomond, to browsing round the boutiques in the shore shopping centre, you'll find lots to tempt you. Traditional Scotland is much in evidence, with the Pipe Band Championships, or a hot toddy on offer at the Auchentoshan whisky distillery. Then it's time for a warm welcome at our restaurant, and a lovely comfy bed.Show More

如果衹是打個短兒的話,是個不錯的選擇。 可以免費停車,旁邊有餐廳、咖啡廳、加油站、超市等,很方便。 有點像國內的全季或亞朵。

We stayed here due to its location, close to Loch Lomond. Excellent reception and restaurant staff. Very friendly and helpful. We loved staying here! Not far from Glasgow also for a city day trip.

The hotel itself was nice, rooms were cold (even for me ) and although we tried we were not able to warm them up much. However it wasn’t a major issue. Room was spacious and comfortable. Had a family room for myself and my son. However other guests made the night slightly annoying. Jumping about in the room above and creating a lot of noise. Running up and down the halls etc. shouting at 1am Not the hotels fault and it was only for 1 night. However the reason I gave 2 stars was the restaurant. Shocking and I will not be eating there again. Poor menu, very lacking in choice. The menu has changed considerably and offers little choice. Then the problem of the simple food on the menu being sold out. Breakfast was better, however with only 1 member of staff working it was a little stretched as I always ask for fresh eggs to be made. The breakfast (cooked section) looked ok but the friend eggs were not appealing. The rest not too bad. Sausages, Black pudding, mushrooms, beans, bacon. Plenty of choice for toast, with condiments galore. Fresh fruit and 2 types of yoghurts and then the usual drink options. Breakfast is definitely much better than the main meals.

On business on a long term contract in area - this is the last choice place to book if all other hotels are too expensive or booked up. Have previously stayed twice before in May and June 24 (wifi has been out for 3 months) - if anything place has got worse in recent visit. Room is very hot, air con/ventilation doesnt work and windows do not open. Room is very small, one double bed, small desk and very basic small bathroom. Wifi doesnt work and signal on EE not great. Go next door for food and OMG - gets really worse. In July Premier Inn have taken dining in house taking over from previous pub chain - menu has been massively reduced, quality of food has gone down and wait times increased. They seat you at your table and then if you are not on then meal deal they leave you to fester in a separate area until you attract attention and someone from the team says you have to go to bar to order. And to add cheek you get asked at the bar if you would like to add a tip. Food sits on bar counter for ages getting cold before being delivered to table - fries are like cardboard. In summary, in my experience of 25 years of business travel this is one of the worst places I've stayed at. Team try hard - just are dealing with a difficult situation and senior management need to invest in the rooms, dining and improve this place before it can be considered suitable for guests to stay at.

We had to make a quick booking that day due to the local storms and being on motorbikes we could journey no more that day. We have stayed here before and knew that of all our options this was the hotel to stay at. On arrival we were soaked and all our biker gear was waterlogged. The use of their laundry room was given to air our clothes and boots without prompt and service was given up and above expectations. It’s hard to single out anyone individual member of staff as they are all brilliant and a credit to the hotel and brand. This also goes for the restaurant staff who were super helpful and we were made to feel part of the family. Well done

In one calendar month I stayed in three separate Inns. Aviemore - new Phoenix Park Dumbarton All three had the same complaint in common. No services during the day or night bar Dumbarton. My brother travelled from Kosovo, 2500 miles, by ferry and road. My sister travelled from London, 4-500 miles My niece and nephew travelled from Devon with her son - 4-500 miles. Phoenix park told us they don’t have the staff. Aviemore, just recently opened, told of the same. And same with Dumbarton. Whitbread made redundant 1500 people across the uk. They removed a major service expectation from guests without letting them know in advance, and without notice until all guests were at the premises. This is false advertising at best, and fraudulent at worst case scenario. People generally come to PI for home for home experience. All my relatives had to jump in cars and go to other restaurants for food and not be able to relax on site. They lost hundreds, if not thousands of pounds between us all as we were in town for another sisters birthday. No doubt Whitbread will counter the complaint with overhauling excuses, etc, but it is just not acceptable to me or any of the family for this incredibly disappointing service.
