This hotel is the worst travel experience in New Zealand this time. The boss asked us in English if we are 2 people? He didn't react at the first time, so he immediately said, aren't you human? At first I thought he was a foreigner's humor, so I didn't care. Later in the night, there was no hot water in the room. When I asked him, he still lost his temper and yelled at us, saying that he was disturbing his rest. At this time, he felt that this person was annoying. The boss said that there is only a small tank of hot water in each room, and it will run out when it is used up, so I didn't take a shower all night. Bad review ~ don't go!

Not bad. You get what you pay for. Room needs a bit of an upgrade. Bathroom average albeit the place was clean, warm and not far from town or the university. Booked to catch up with my son at Uni over Easter. Very convenient with a short walk to the halls and campus. A 20min walk to Forsyth Barr Stadium. Good value.

Good clean facilities and helpful friendly staff.we had a small problem with the toilet cistern which was leaking water slowly then refilling itself every 20-30 minutes through the night.When told about it the manager fixed it straight away.They gave us a good rate for our room which was right on the main road side and said to be noisy but we never had a problem with it?
