Hotels near Gafa Bavsi, Samaliya (Hill Station), Dungarpur

In Dungarpur, there are less hotel options. But I felt this hotel was little overpriced. There is no view of River from the rooms, there is a very small river stream little away from the Hotel. This may not be considered a proper resort. The only amenity was the swimming pool but it was not very clean. They have a big party lawn. The hotel is located few kms away from the city. The best thing about our stay was the large sized room. It was luxurious. Another good thing was their food and tea. Food is very affordable and delicious in all places in Dungarpur. I think other options should be checked before booking this hotel.

The hotel is very near the highway which is a good thing. The location is average. The bar counter of the hotel is the reception and booking counter too. Very strange. It is very inconvenient and u have to deal with other drunk people. The swimming pool was too dirty. Property is good but not maintained. The bedsheets were dirty and used. The food was good. They have a good variety of liquor but they don't know how to make tequila shots. The hotel is not for family or couples but for group of gents.

I would say, the location was very good but over all it was an average stay. The plus point of the resort is it's location but at the same time it is a negative point as well. The resort is in the midst of the lake, you have to park the car and go by boat there which takes around 15 - 20 minutes; so once you are in the resort, to go out you have to travel back by boat which is a quite cumbersome, this boat facility is off after 7 pm unless emergency (this was informed to us). There is nothing around outside the resort to wander around. The quality of food was pretty average or even less than average. You must book with all meals into the package because anyway there is no other option around for food. I did not book with all meals so I had to go for ala carte, the staff kept on insisting for the same selection of food which was available in the package or else it will take a long time to cook, so you have a limited options. Buffet, if you have not booked within your booking, it will cost you 1500 to 1800 Rs per person, TOO MUCH for the quality of food offered. A 40 Rs bottle of Pepsi cost us 250 Rs there!! Dishes were not very clean, if you mop with a tissue; there will be black staining on the tissue! Staff is not very professional. The place is in isolation, there is no much activity to do there. If you are in your 60s and 50s, and want isolation, its okay but for a younger generation it may turn our boring. Mobile network is a problem, their wifi was not reaching upto the room, even weak in reception area. Traveling to the Jaisamand, the last 20 - 25 km have a very bad road no matter from anywhere you are coming. Overall, I would say except for the location in the middle of the lake, rest things were average or below average, not worth if you are going during vacation time with the money they cost you during that period.

Property is average price charged for room doesn't commensurate to facilities provided. The rooms were not clean and hygienic.. the staff was not trained and don't know how to conduct themselves with guest. Food was below average and very costly. The items in menu were not available and only limited food was available that to was to spice despite of telling them not to make it spicy. The ordered food finished after serving half quantity. 😅Only advantage was its just 100 mtr away from high way and by pass road udiapur. Since it was just one night stay and amount was non refundable we had to continue it.
