Even though I’d booked and paid in advance they wouldn’t give me a room key because I have e-channel entry and exit for China. They wanted to see my last entry stamp which I don’t have. Make your life easy and don’t try to explain you have e-channel. Just show hotels your last entry stamp before you got e-channel. These out lying areas do not know or understand the international immigration rules. I wasted over an hour on this. Trip.com service was also very poor and important in the matter. In the end I did get a room key, though. The room was fine.
