We stayed in the suite for families. While there was lots of room, the room with the double bed had no window. This was not nice. We live in China and like the Chinese firm beds, but these were beyond firm and not comfortable. The pool was why we wanted to stay here, but we were not informed that it cost 25 yuan per person to use, including kids, until after our swim. Disappointing! However, the staff are very friendly. It was strange to us that they constantly entered our room when we were not there to leave services like a foot bath or a humidifier, which were not requested. The whole place has a run down feel that is kind of creepy and at this price, other hotels in the area are nicer.

The room is large and the facilities are relatively new. You have to take a taxi to go to Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Mountain and the night market! The laundry and cleaning services are very good. Drinking water is provided. The mineral water in the room is basically unlimited. The breakfast is rich! The only drawback is that the attitude at the front desk is very average and lukewarm, maybe because there are so many people during National Day~

The room is fully equipped and the sanitation is first-class. The environment is very good, I like it very much, the service is the best homestay service I have ever seen. We arrived very late and it was as comfortable as going home. The meal is also delicious, drinking by the pool to watch the children play, especially like it. We sent a lot of gifts, and the pears in the orchard brought us to eat on the road.

Honestly the service at this hotel is what made the trip! The brothers that own the place are extremely friendly and helped drive us around to everything from the sights to their food recommendations that were all delicious. Not to mention beer, fruit and other drinks are all included at the hotel free of charge! It’s also walking distance to the oasis. To any foreigner wanting to travel here, these guys make it so easy and stress free, it’s worth it for them, plus there’s a place to swim amongst the heat and great air conditioning. You can see the dunes from the roof of the hotel too, where there’s tables and chairs to relax for a drink. Would come again in a heart beat.

The whole homestay has three floors, and there is no elevator for the time being. Because there are more things, the room is selected on the first floor. Each room has a small courtyard or a small balcony. This is the favorite location! There looks a little wasteland outside, which complements Dunhuang. The decoration of the room is pure wood, there is no smell, very clean! Dunhuang is very good, come back later ～
