An excellent hotel in the very heart of the city centre of Dusseldorf. The hotel is fantastic, the staff super polite and helpful and the room spacious, spotless and well decorated. We even had a room upgrade for free!

Nice room, beautiful environment

I used to stay here when I was on a business trip. This time, after checking in in the afternoon, I found that the air conditioner was broken when I returned to the room at night. The whole room was so cold that I felt cold even in my coat. The front desk sent someone to check and confirmed that the air conditioner was broken. I asked to change the room. I called three times, but it was not changed in an hour. I went down to ask the front desk. A male Indian front desk was arrogant, yes, really arrogant, saying that it would take time to arrange for us to change rooms, and we had no choice but to do this. From beginning to end, he never said sorry. In the end, he said that if you are not satisfied, I will help you check out. This is the most bizarre and most annoying service I have encountered in my 20-year business trip. The hotel facilities are old. Maybe because of the cost-saving reasons of the epidemic, the hotel has many Indian waiters, and there is no warmth and thoughtfulness of an old European five-star hotel. In the past, whenever there was a Steinberger in a city, Steigenber Hotel would be the first choice, but it will not be the case in the future. Write it down for future travelers to see. Don't be fooled.
