4.8/5
Outstanding
GGuest UserAmbiance is very good. Few rooms are good and few rooms are very bad. Food very worest. Swimming pool maintenance is good. No other games. Room service is ok but not upto the mark.
GGuest UserThe ambience inside hotel is good with latest type of fittings both in rooms and restaurant. Stay is comfortable and happy. The entrance is not visibly provided with name board and hence difficult to locate the hotel which is located in 4th and 5th floors.
GGuest UserWe booked two rooms here to attend a function nearby village. Salient features: 1.Property situated at heart of the city KAKINADA with max. possible standards of hygiene, good linen, effective faucets at washroom, toiletries and mineral water. 2.One more advantage is well connected with Kaustubh restaurant which us one among top 10 vegetarian restaurants of city. 3. Staff well trained and smiling front office has given an absolute delight by expediting fast. Fast check-in & checkout. 4. 100% value addition for tariff. Room cleaning staff so punctual and well maintained post cleaning room is well satisfied. 5. Front office interaction with one lady & one aged gentle *** both are guest friendly and expediting quick check-in & checkouts as we are thankful for their pleasant welcoming. Scope for improvement: 1. Could be illiterates, but room boys who are ready near front office need to improve their language to not irritate guests. Since there was no room supply of news paper my son taken from front office as room boy rudely says you need to bring back, how much time it takes, what is your room number etc. 2. Room supply of food & beverage is doing only Kaustubh restaurant opening timings but in late noon etc. even no coffee is not being interested to serve by getting from some other place.
GGuest UserWhat can I say - the best hotel in the city, keeps the brand! In general, I liked everything. I was pleased with the presence of a bar and a wine list in the room. In terms of wishes - it would be nice to equip smoking areas. Of the minuses - a long checkout, they wanted to shortchange for a paid dinner.
GGuest UserVery nice staying here, room is very clean and full of facilities. Staff is also friendly and helping. The market is very close to this hotel. Nice place to stay in raj mundry. You will get a terrace to chill out. It is safe to stay here.
It is one of the best hotels in Kakinada and very well maintained. I had stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past and definitely would recommend choosing this hotel over any other hotel. This time, we are a family of four and chose to stay in the queen suite and below is our stay experience, Arrival and Check-in: The hotel has good parking space within hotel premises and it can get crowded if there are any functions scheduled at the hotel, however valet parking is available and their service is good. Check-in was ok, I would rate it as average, nothing special experience, no welcome drink provided or nothing warmth in staff welcome as I hardly spotted any welcome smile on any of the staff - so you would be disappointed if great hospitality and warm welcome is expected. Bell boy service is available and the service is good. Rooms & Quality of sleep: Rooms were big, spacious and very neat. Sleep quality is good. All necessary amenities were provided in the room. Housekeeping staff are good and very responsive. Overall the rooms were very comfortable to stay and it would be more great if hotel team had kept the rooms pre-cooled prior our arrival as upon check in, we found our room to be very hot and it took good 30 mins to cool down as our room french glass window was facing west and directly exposed to the setting sun from afternoon and temperatures were soaringly high and the room does not have any fan. Dining at Hotel: In room dining was available and service was ok. Our room pricing included breakfast and one buffet meal a day (lunch/dinner). We opted for dinner buffet spread on both days. Breakfast spread was decent, live counters for dosa - eggs to order were available. However expect to be disappointed with respect to service from staff. Restaurant tends to get crowded and staff doesn't care much to attend to.your needs as we had to refill our own glasses, remind staff that we ordered for dosas and to remind staff to refill dishes as they are finished. If the restaurant is crowded during breakfast, you can hardly expect any good service from staff and this is bit disappointing. Dinner buffet spread was just average. Veg spread was great and nice however non veg spread is disappointing. Non-veg Dum Biriyani on both days is very tasteless and we felt that afternoon left over biriyani is heated up. Fish dish on both days was same with just a different name. Staff courteousness & service experienced during dinner was much much better than our breakfast experience. Check-out experience: It was smooth and fast. No hassles. Conclusion: Overall, our stay was very smooth and comfortable and definitely this hotel is recommended over other hotels at Kakinada. It was very clean, neat and we'll maintained. However, if the staff courteousness and hospitality could be bit improved in order to give better guest experience, it will definitely greatly add to the hotel value. I would have rated the hotel with 5 star rating if we had bette
SS_A_K2284 What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff anticipated my needs, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay. The Hotel has set a new standard for hospitality in my book, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable experience.
GGuest UserI have earlier stayed in grt, sarovar though we should not compare rl-grand with them, i definitely like to compare this with my stay in venky's-residence, kakinada. Rl-grand actually lacks any grand-ness on the ground. It may have general restaurant business with may be active with event organization in hotel. Well, then the resident guests will take a beating. Receipt-ion shows no courtesy at all. Its just casual. Guests are left to their own fate. Rooms are old. But kept neat within their capability. The bathroom windows was completely spoil t but they do not care to repair. There is a provision for fridge in the hotel but with out any physical fridge. When asked receipt-ion he told no such things available in this hotel. The way he communicated, it was quite discourteous. You would never dare to ask a thing again with the person in command. Perhaps he did not mean to hurt, but he is definitely not trained how to talk to the guests. It could be that the kind of guests he gets he has to be like that. But i am in for a surprise. I have booked my breakfast and one major lunch/dinner. He charged over rs. 800- for the purpose. I was in for a very bad experience. I was told to go a general restaurant in downstairs which is managed by a different internal setup. It is looked like a roadside restaurant (photo enclosed. As such there is nothing like a spread to chose things from. He asked what is my requirement. He suggested to take idle or vada. He says he cant give dos a or any other thing. Its like you may pay hardlyrs. 50- or rs60- if you order the same outside the hotel. It ended with a cup of tea. Only difference is that he didnt collect money. The lunch is no different. He simply served veg thali plate. Such a disappointment. Its better not opt for any food in this third rate food-inclusion plan where you stand to lose over rs. 600- on bf-st and lunch put-together. Instead better to eat best meals outside for less price. I informed the hotel for 12 hr stay only, with early checkin at 8am in place of 12 noon. He promptly called me at 18:30 hrs in the evening to enquirer about my vacation when i was busy in work. I got a punch of disgusting feeling. I rushed back and vacated the hotel before 9pm. If you want not to spoil mood and stay in kakinada, this namesake rl-grand can not be a choice.
