Those place is old and dingy. Pretty unfortunate because it has some potential, but whoever owns it is too cheap to keep up with the upkeep. Pretty standard hotel, I saw other reviews say it was dirty, I don’t agree with that. Our room was perfectly clean, just completely rundown. These guys can’t even be bothered to slap a coat of paint on something. They charge a resort fee, which for the life of me I don’t understand why. The tennis court is broken, the Internet is so slow it’s unuseable, and the reason I stayed here to begin with, the splash park, was out of service. They claimed it was because of the wildfires, but I don’t believe that for a second as other properties had their splash park running. I think they’re just too cheap to fix it. Also, only one of the two restaurants they say they have on properties actually open (Lava Grill didn’t open this year) Outside of the splash park, the pool area actually was nice, but hours are completely weird as it doesn’t open until 10 AM and closes at 9 PM. So if you get it really cheap, and want a budget vacation, I don’t see anything wrong with booking it. I’m not someone who looks for budget, and would never stay here again unless it was my only option.

We booked a stay at Fairmont Mountain View Villas for August long weekend. However, we had a change of plans and called to cancel. We were informed that we would be charged the full price as it was past the cancellation deadline. We hadn't actually decided to cancel at that point and simply mentioned that we would call back after deciding. After discussing with my husband, we decided to go ahead with the trip. When we called back, we were told that the reservation had already been canceled and that we would be charged for half of our stay. We've been coming to this Fairmont for 20 years and have stayed at the Fairmont Resort several times. My husband and I both called to clear up the misunderstanding, but we received a very stern response from Barbara (Apple Tree Inn., the booking place), who told us there was nothing they could do. I asked for the owner's contact information and was given a first name, but Barbara refused to provide his last name and wouldn't give me her last name either. We've traveled all over the world and love giving great reviews to places where the staff is pleasant and accommodating. However, this experience with Barbara from Apple Tree Inn was one of the worst customer service interactions we've ever had. We will never recommend this place to anyone and urge the Fairmont Mountain View Villas to reconsider their booking agent, as someone like Barbara certainly does not represent such a nice place well.

The staff was great! He was accomodating and even gave us an upgrade on our room. It was very spacious, full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, oven... more than we could need. It came with all the utensils and cook-wear needed as well. The bedroom was separate from the living room. The living room had a cozy fireplace and a balcony which looked out on stunning views of the mountains. 5 minutes from the ski slopes and hot springs, it was the perfect location for our vacation. We will definitely visit again!

The water park was I half operation due to water supply which is fine. Still full price of 28.00 per person and that is not for a day pass, if you leave to have lunch at your suite you cannot come back. Your own food is also not aloud to be brought into the park. The waterslide is not monitored at all andvas many as 10 older children at once were at the top stopping the flow of water making it dangerous for anyone with a young family! The staff at the front were texting and did not acknowledge that we were there waiting to pay. All around terrible, go to the springs and get a day pass for the money you will be wasting!

The facility used to be great, you can tell. The room was aged, but decent. Though you could see the carpet was vacuumed, it needs to be shampooed, or replaced, as it was quite stained. Hot water kept disappearing mid shower, air conditioner sounded like an aircraft engine, dishwasher leaked. I’m not sure why hotels still think sofa beds are a good option, as no one has replaced any since the 60’s, was glad we brought camping foamies to make the thing bearable. Pool was great, Bedroom was great, has a decent hotel gym. And the bathroom had a nice big soaker, with jets. Did not feel ripped off, but overall, not impressed. IF everything had been fully functional, it would have been really good value, as it was, we were quite disappointed..

Loved the pool area but water was very cold! Sofa beds are horrible. Rooms DEFINITELY need work, I felt like I was in an episode of the Golden Girls. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE MANAGER. We booked 6 rooms months and months ago for our family reunion and asked for the rooms to be all together. We checked in and the rooms were all in the same building but all on different floors and different areas of the building, one of the rooms we couldn't even find and the cleaning staff didn't know either. We were upset about this because we booked so long ago for that specifc reason as we all little ones. We called the front desk and the MANAGER did nothing but tell us it was our fault, he did nothing to accommodate our issue and definitely didn't offer to make it up to us. We spent well over $7,000 in 4 days and he won't even try to help, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE MANAGER. The rest of the staff were great, one gentleman on a golf cart offered me a ride up to my room, he could see I was limping.

We’ve been coming to this same resort for the past 5 years. I’m sad to see it going downhill as fast as it is. The pool is why families come to stay here and for the most part it’s maintained well. There is a beautiful beach entry style and this is where we spend most of our time. The splash park doesn’t always work and could use some serious upgrading/maintenance. They have renovated/moved the lobby several times since we’ve been here and added a restaurant. Both of these things are a great addition however; the food is so expensive. It’s not feasible to eat there daily while hanging by the pool. The rooms are the saddest decline by far. While not a luxury 5 star accommodation they were perfect for a family getaway. A lot of space, kitchen accommodations and big bathrooms/patios as well as laundry facilities. Exactly what you need for kids. Cleanliness has deteriorated, as well as general room preparedness: not enough towels for a family of 4, only one roll of toilet paper per room, leaking kitchen faucets, broken dishwasher doors, broken blinds, floors and windows not clean. If this was my first stay at this resort I likely would not re-book. However we’ve been coming here as a family since 2018, we know the upsides to it. The town itself is struggling with staffing issues and there has been a lot of changes in ownership of local restaurants. Although they are not affiliated with Mountain View Resorts and Suites, it’s such a small community with limited dining options; it’s disheartening to witness the decline from such fantastic service and delicious food to the state it is now; cleanliness again being an issue. Fairmont Hot Springs Resort still has high calibre dining options that have not wavered. This is a beautiful area to stay, there are many many things to do especially as a family. It was a let down this year seeing how things are deteriorating.
