We had 3 nights at the Hydro last week. We stayed in room 305 which was clean and comfortable (side sea view). It was nice to have a bathroom with a proper window. This was our 3rd stay, and as always, the food and service were very good. This time the offer was a money off voucher for a bottle of wine on the first night, we also had complimentary tea and cake on the afternoon we arrived which was most welcome. Another relaxing stay - Thank you.

Great hotel would highly recommend, had breakfast and dinner whilst staying there could not fault the food, and the bedrooms were spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and professional you could tell they were very happy doing their jobs thanks to the great general manager, would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel, the outside pool was a delight, lovely, heated and tranquil. Room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Fresh beautiful sheets. Just LOVED the toiletries, it’s the little touches on a night away. Parked right outside. Breakfast just wow all so very tasty and you are waited on the whole time with tentative staff. The lift and foyer was nostalgic x would definitely come back.

The Hydro have been excellent communicators during the planning stage for my Fathers 100th birthday lunch, even making changes 2 days before. On the day the staff were professional and polite and very efficient. The whole day went to plan with no problems. Thank you to all the staff, you were excellent.

Our 6th time at this hotel. We love it for a night away plus Dinner in the Crystal Restaurant as the food & service is also very good. Superb breakfast served, lots of choice.

So the location of the hotel with parking etc is great. Short walk to restaurants etc but overall the stay was good. The gardens are lovely as is the terrace & conservatory restaurant. Other areas do need updating. The bar needs a rethink, it is not conspicuous & almost seems to deter guests, seating areas are dark & not group friendly. Food & room okay. Bit of a time warp but great potential.
