The location of the hotel is excellent, right by the pier, 10-15 minute walk from the train station, close to restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself has seen better days and needs to be renovated. The lifts are tiny, which may be an issue for those with accessibility issues (there may be a larger lift I wasn’t aware of) and the room was very basic and not great. The bathroom needed fixtures repaired, for example the toilet seat hinges were not secure and slammed painfully loudly because of the bathroom acoustics and the poorly secured shower door screeched when moved, which was not good. The staff are pleasant but everything needs an update and maintenance.

Lovely relaxing place everyone was very friendly and helpful at reception and dining room, the service staff. The Burlington has lots of character and great views.

I stayed here for two consecutive nights. Honestly for the price, it’s great! Reception staff friendly and the rooms having heating. Linen and towels were clean and overall I was happy with my stay. Would stay again and recommend anyone on a budget to consider staying here ☺️

Very old style hotel, need major refurbishment. Lift is from 1800’s which is operates manually.

Hotel stay was comfortable and excellent for a short stay. Hotel looks old and has an ancient lift, but overall is well maintained and the room is clean and great. Toilet may be a bit cramp and the shower head is leaking causing water to splash out from the bathtub and flood the toilet floor. Location is good as it faces directly to the sea and is 15 mins walk away from the train station. However, there was no bottled water provided and the kettle looks filthy with a white layer coated on it, but the staff was friendly and provided hot water upon request at the reception. Beside that, the overall stay was pleasant and the room is clean.

Recently stayed in the pearl and pebbles and it was a lot better cleaner more toiletries and stuff for the room much better layout everything was new just felt like for what we paid in the Burlington wasn’t good enough 75 pound and the pearl and pebbles was only 32 so was abit annoyed with the pricing for what we got the room was also abit small and a tatty bathroom when asked for a shower not a bath

The food was very nice and the room for one person was quite big.

Very good place to stay. You can leave your luggage in the hotel for free if you arrived too early, and the public transportation is super convenient, location is just at the sea shore. You will have a cozy, safe and convenient stay in my here.

My Daughter and I had an overnight stay at the Burlington Hotel as we were in Eastbourne to see a show. Our stay there was good, the staff were very friendly and our room was clean and tidy, some of the communal areas could do with a little TLC as there were signs of age etc, the lift was quite bad and in my opinion, needs some urgent attention, That said, I would definitely stay here again, the situation is lovely, directly opposite the beach and within easy reach of shops and other amenities, definitely recommended.

The hotel was in a beautiful seafront location but our room was not very good. It was small but not very clean. The curtains were full of dust, we had a really bad view with dirt and rust on the roof. The staff were not friendly, they seemed cold and provided very basic customer service. We enjoyed our stay in the area but the hotel was a massive let down.

Just a couple of days to meet up with old friends..very good 👍 all round service..had a great stay..

Can’t beat it for proximity to the Pier but it has certainly seen better times (as the whole town - charming as it is).
