A spectacular hostel. All too nice, excellent room with very good shower, wide kitchen available, good prices excellent location and excellent tips !! Do tours with guests on the island with one of the owners of the hostel, named Diego !! He is very pleasant, sympathetic, joyful and teacher, having a wide knowledge and explaining everything about the Rapa Nui !! Nikole Paoa, the daughter of the owners is super attentive and faced has already given us the best place to dive, eat and walk more in charge of them. Your husband is also very performing. We love and when we come back we will stay at the same Hostal Kona Tau.

The Inaki Uhi was a wonderful place to stay for our 2 nights in Rapa Nui. The hotel picks up and returns guests to the airport and welcomes you with fresh leis! This is a family run hotel and the hosts are Ivonne snd Alejandre. Our room was spacious and modern with a small sitting area as well as sleeping area. There is a courtyard area outside the rooms with areas to sit and relax. The flowers there—and everywhere in Rapa Nui—are lush snd beautiful. Breakfast included fruit, juices, yogurt, coffee, and a variety of breads (fresh! There’s a bakery next door). Eggs can be prepared on request. As we were preparing to check out, we waited with our luggage and 3 coats in the lobby for our ride back to the airport-which is about 5 minutes away. We arrived in plenty of time—after checking in, we realized we had left the 3 coats at the hotel. In a panic, i couldn’t find the phone number for Inaki Uhi. We decided that my husband would stay at the airport and I would take a taxi to the hotel. I found a taxi and got in, but the driver didn’t take credit cards so I jumped out to find another taxi. The first taxi drove away. I suddenly realized that I had dropped my phone in the taxi! Using “find my phone” we knew where the phone was but had no way to get to get to it. By now, my husband had found the hotel phone number—only 45 minutes to last tome to board! Alejandro saved the day! We brought the coats and helped my husband find the phone! It was a miracle and we made our flight!we could not have done it without Alejandro’s help!!! Mission accomplished! Thank you!!

I didn't stay at this property but came here for a massage so the review is solely on the spa service and as a non-staying guest. I called to enquire and it was difficult to communicate with the spa staff over the phone as she does not speak much English and I speak no Espanol but somehow managed to make a booking. They seem quite busy and I couldn't get a longer massage so best to book a day early. I went for a 50-minute deep tissue massage which was 60,000 pesos (about USD72). The spa room is nice and spacious, very clean and also ensuite so comes with a shower. The masseur is top notch, she found my tired knots and sore areas and worked on them with enough strength. The massage was outstanding and worth every penny, felt very relaxed afterwards. Separately, I wanted to asked at the reception whether I can have dinner there, the reception staff looked bewildered and kept shaking his head, it's fine if the restaurant is not opened to outsiders, he could just explain, there's no need for such a reaction.

Easter Island is very beautiful and the houses are relatively simple. The reason is restricted by the Chilean national government. There are not many large hotels and the price is relatively expensive. This small holiday house is also a good choice.

The hotel has a good view, you can see the sea, the room is relatively large, the internal facilities are relatively simple, there are no slippers and electric kettle, the hotel is very salty, the ingredients are fresh, the island is not convenient to use a credit card, we were from Paris at the time, brought the euro, it is very inconvenient, Taxi and tour guide fees on the island are available in cash, generally do not accept euros, Chilean pesos or US dollars

Kkay_ing852The cabana is simply amazing! The 4 nights stay at Cabanas Te Maori is the best choice I made for the trip. Great location, everything you need (market, restaurants, seaside...) is just a few minutes walk. The cabana is well equipped, everything is so clean, the interior design is good (extra points for the lighting), bed is comfortable, extra towels are prepared for changing. There is a chain of small lights at the balcony, very romantic! Most importantly, WIFI is good! The owner, Patricia and her husband, are very nice and friendly. Patricia is very caring and helpful, she made sure I am well taken care of. She gave me good advice and helped to book ticket for night show (which I got the best seat at the show!), and they gave me a necklace as souvenir before sending me off to the airport, how sweet! If I have to point out something for improvement, I would say install a small shelf inside the shower, but there is a shelf right next to the shower already, so really doesn't matter. I highly recommend this place and will definitely book again!
AAlejandro VThree of us rented a room for just under a week in July of 2024. Hotel is in a great location, close to town, across from the water. Restaurant has great views of sunset. It was a nice cozy room. Staff was super helpful and always there when we needed them. Helped us book tours and gave good meal recommendations. Breakfast was sufficient. This is a remote island hard to get to with no permanent dock, so supplies are hard to come by. Do not expect US style of buffet with food that goes to waste. Do not expect fluffy soft 5000 thread sheets or fluffy towels. It is still rustic and it will and should stay that way. Perfect if you know and understand where you are going. This is not Hawaii. If you want the Hawaii experience do not come here. The one issue was that while we were there they fumigated the hallways and we had to be out of the hotel from 3 to 6 pm. I appreciate that they fumigate but more than over night notice would be welcomed.
GGuest UserExcellent service and attention from Mrs. Rosa, who welcomed us, welcomed us and guided us through all our queries, as it was our first time there. She answered our questions, guided us through the tours, and even managed everything to make it easy for us. Very kind, understanding and attentive, she made us feel comfortable and safe. Her human quality is greatly appreciated, since many times you find people who are parsimonious and dry when responding and she is the complete opposite. The place is nice, very clean and comfortable. They have a recycling area which stood out greatly. We were in cabin 3, equipped perfect for a couple. The fully equipped and comfortable kitchen. We recommend the place 100%. If we went again, we would not hesitate to go to Anakena cabins.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Tupa Hotel. The staff was great! They provided transportation to/from the airport. I went on both of their island tours, which were reasonably priced and the groups sizes were small--quite a bit smaller than some of the other groups we saw. And anything you needed, they could set up for you. They made everything so easy! The hotel itself was adequate--an older building that was kept up well. The bed was comfy, the AC worked fine (based on previous reviews, it must be new?), they had refrigerators, a small breakfast buffet, and most importantly everything was clean. The TV & wifi are only in the common area--but on Rapa Nui, who cares?! The location was perfect--in town but also on the ocean. The hotel--as well as all of Hanga Roa and Rapa Nui--felt safe. There were dogs everywhere in the town but they were all too lazy to do anything. Getting around was easy. Overall everything about the island was great, and I would recommend staying at Tupa Hotel while visiting.
JjyoBThe location is great for strolling around Hanga Roa. Museum, Tahai, restaurants, shopping, ATMs all within walking distance. The rooms are clean & comfortable. But i couldnt understand the total lack of ventilation. No windows in the room. French windows that you cant really keep open. A fan that barely moves - whether its on 1 or 5. The breakfast was good & the breakfast terrace lovely. ( the only spot you can get a peek at the sea). But no other meals are served. There is a counter where you can get soft drinks etc. If you are not hankering after a ” sea view' from your room, this place..is a good choice.
GGuest UserThis is not a hotel. It’s your friend’s house who invited you over to spend some time in the most remote part of the world. That’s how welcome and pleasant I felt here. Marcelo and his family run this establishment. He’s a one stop shop for everything Rapa Nui. Marcelo welcomed me at the airport with a gorgeous lea. The hotel is off main street in a private alleyway. It’s simple, but offers and authentic experience. Marcelo’s family lives up front and the back has a nice patio, kitchen area and several rooms. I was solo, but my room had three beds. So I had plenty of space. I was welcomed with a yummy smoothy, and after that Marcelo just took care of everything for me, from giving me different tours, arranging a glass-bottom boat ride, booking a 4-wheeler for me to do some adventure exploration, arranging a show reservation, and taking me to the National park areas as a credentialed guide. Did I mention, he’s also the volunteer firefighter. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is clean and comfortable. There were plenty of fans available if I needed them, but the heavenly cross breeze made those unnecessary. I loved that instead of serving breakfast separately, they encourage guests to sit around a bigger table. I met several interesting people this way. Felt great. The location is great. Walking distance from the town main street and less than 10 minutes from the town beach with several Moai’s. In terms of service, on the day I was leaving I asked Marcelo I’d like to buy a specific t-shirt and he drove me around to various shops till I got it. Then he made sure that I have my flight all the way to the security check point at the airport. Now that’s just awesome. I loved, loved my time at Kaimana Inn. It’s a whole experience, made special by the host and his family. I cannot recommend this place enough.
