We have just returned for being here for two weeks as a family. Firstly welcome was great. Reception staff - Emily, Noami and Kim were lovely! really helpful and nice - Hilton you picked three nice people there for there jobs! We had the apartment room as there was four of us! - nice, clean tidy and amble space. Kitchen and fridge was useful. We were out for most of the day, but nice to come home, shower and relax. Breakfast was ample and nice, lots of options. All I would say is maybe do pancakes daily. I would have liked Baked Beans and Fried eggs, but the bagels and other stuff was fine. ALL of the staff were lovely, friendly and very happy. We would have no reason not to stay here again and would recommend it for families! There is a bus stop down the road - 5 min walk straight into the Port Authority in Central New York! for two adults and two kids the return ticket is $22 ! which is great. There are lots of restaurants locally which is great. I would defiantly come back here again if we have the opportunity. Hats off to you ! Thanks for a great stay. 100% Hilton :) xx

Excellent service. Clean facilities. Great location. On service, the staff is courteous and responsive (from the front desk, to the maintenance people). Some go above and beyond, like Nanette, the lady in charge of breakfast. She made us feel at home. I had planned to spend one week at this hotel and then switch to other hotels to experience other places in the NY area. However, we were treated so well by Nanette that I extended the stay and spend the 3 weeks here. Housekeeping was very accomodating. I had business calls most of the day and did not want noise. I needed the cleaning, which they do only every other day, between calls, other days I just wanted towels and other supplies, which they promptly provided. Sometimes, I ordered DoorDash. Front desk kindly called my room if I had missed the deliveryp text. I did not want lingering food odor in the room. I just place the bag with containers outside and they picked it up regularly. They have a system. The facilities: restaurant, bar, sitting areas, elevators, etc. were always clean. I felt very comfortable in all of these areas. The room was large and clean. I had a large desk to work on. My view was towards the hill, which was very nice. The bar/restaurant at night offers good quality food at a good price. On location, there are several restaurants in the area within walking distance. There is a CVS and a HomeGoods one block away. The hotel is a short walk from the river. If you stay here, take a morning and/or evening walk and enjoy the NY skyline. You can see the view in my pictures. I felt safe walking around the hotel. One word of caution: if hotel noise bothers you, don't stay here. The floors are thiner than I am used to. We could hear every time the child upstairs jumpped off the bed or if they dropped something. And the guests below us could hear us walking (they called!) and we are small ladies. For me and my daughter, it was fine. We would laugh it off every time we heard noises. I will stay here again. Thank you staff of the Courtyard Marriott. Signed: the lady from 311.

Used this hotel as our base for our visit to NYC. Very comfortable accommodations, great staff and close to local transport. As seniors the bus fare into the nyc port authority was $2.05 each way. Much more economical than trying to drive into the city. Just be aware that while you can pay cash on the ride in, you need to buy tickets for the return trip.

I chose the Kama Central Park because I wanted to spend 10 days in NYC by myself and was unwilling to spend $200+ per night at a typical hotel or AirBnB. . . . . . The location is amazing. It is about a 3-minute walk to the B/C trains at 103rd or 110th St. There are lots of bodegas, restaurants, and services (nail salons, laundromats) within a short walk (Columbus Ave, Amsterdam Ave). There is a Lidl grocery store just up the street at Frederick Douglass Ave near 118th/119th. This is walkable, but you could also take the train two stops if you are carrying a lot of groceries. The Lidl has everything I needed: Yogurt, fruit, chocolate, take-away meals like salads with chicken strips. Even a decent and comfortable pair of black trousers for $15 when I ran out of clean clothes, lol. . . . . . I stayed in a 6-bed female-only room. I appreciated the privacy of my own capsule --- being able to climb into bed and close the door and not have to interact with other people. I also appreciated the common area, where I kept some food in the communal fridge and ate breakfast and a late supper (takeaway from Lild or nearby restaurants) most days. . . . . . I had pleasant interactions with travelers from all over the world. I will mention that I am 55 years old and I met many young people of typical ”hosteling” age, but also people my age and older. . . . . . The en-suite bathroom attached to my bedroom was always clean. In the hall --- open to all residents, not just my 6-person room --- there were a shower room (3 showers) and a toilet room (2 toilets and a sink). For early morning showers, I used these hall facilities rather than my room's en-suite so as not to wake my room-mates. These hall facilities were not as clean as the en-suite, but they were not frighteningly dirty. . . . . . Each bed was assigned a small locker in the bedroom; I left my valuables in it during the day (mainly a laptop). My small suitcase did not fit inside the locker, so I left it sitting outside the locker. I was a bit anxious about that for two reasons. First, I was slightly worried that someone would steal the suitcase (even though it was empty). Second, I was worried that my room-mates might be irritated that my suitcase was sitting there, possibly in their way, and not stowed somewhere. The latch on my locker did not work very well. It was very difficult to make it latch properly. I had to buy a lock. The website said I could buy or borrow a lock from the front desk, but they did not actually have one, so I had to go out and buy one at a CVS for $5. This was not a problem, but I was a little concerned about leaving my belongings unlocked for the first few hours until I purchased the lock. But nothing was stolen. . . . . . One thing about the room was irritating to me --- because my bunk was on top, I had no place to spread out and organize my belongings when packing my day bag each day. This might sound odd, but it was hard for me to *think* about my needs each day and pack ap

Me and Harlem go way back. Aloft Harlem used to be my go to hotel before I started staying more on the lower east side. In fact, a Marriott employee who used to work at Aloft directed me to this brand new, just opened hotel. I was excited to return to uptown and stay in this spot! I wanted to love this hotel. I don’t like giving lackluster reviews and feeling like a Karen. But over two nights, the transgressions just piled up. I’m a Marriott ambassador who stays in hotels about 240 nights a year. I never bring up my status. This might be the first time I actually uttered in frustration, “it’s September and I’ve already spent 27,000 dollars at these hotels, why is this so hard?” Upon checkin, it took almost an hour. This is even more frustrating because my first night was business and my company always sends a spending authorization. Two days in a row I checked with the hotel to see if they had received the authorization. They lost the first one. They mismanaged the second one. I always call or chat ahead to ensure a smooth checkin. It was still a mess when I arrived. The room was a “Central Park view.” I should have known better; I don’t know why I believed this title. I know New York geography better than that. I was looking into a building. Central Park facing or in the direction of Central Park shouldn’t be called central park view. I had changed from the city view to the Central Park view before arrival and I guess I’m glad I did because while they were trying to figure out my reservation they mentioned they had oversold the city view rooms. I will say the black out shades do a great job. The bed was fine. Sheets were a little co****. This hotel costs close to what a Moxy costs, so their sheets should be comparably smooth and comfortable. The bathroom was an absolute joke. Maybe not all the rooms are like mine, but mine may as well not have had a door. As you can see in my photos, the door is for “art.” There is a huge gap where you can see everything! Like probably 12 inches or greater of a gap! Who designed this and thought it was a great idea?! Glad I was alone. The air unit is SUPER loud. Doesn’t bother me as much since we usually have a fan on at home, but it was so loud that when it came on, I had to turn the TV up. It will likely bother some people. And you can hear everything through the walls. Oh, and the toilet clogged twice. And one of the days, the hot water was off all day for repairs, though that’s out of anyone’s control. It’s just giving context to a very un-relaxing stay. Back to the front desk mess—I later noted a destination fee on my bill (I had two separate bills because one night was business and one was personal). I don’t mind destination fees—I’ve had them at many Marriott properties. But I was never informed of this one. I even asked at the restaurant, and they had no idea. I finally went to the desk and asked and they explained I should have been given vouchers for each ni

Love this hotel, small and cozy and pretty. the front desk is very helpful and polite. they gave us senior discount and we travelled from Canada. its served the purpose well, the United Palace theatre is just 10 min walking distance. The only issue is the water leaks from the shower stall when we shower.. for (queen bed suite ) the reason is its narrow, which is understood for small suite. I would give 5 stars in spite of it. The hotel staff comes and cleans it right away, as we did not expect it. they were willing to provide the needed things. Book it with confidence. So, pretty, and clean. Trust there are no MICE, because in the street outside there are plenty, looks like they keep it out of mice.
