Booked this resort last minute because of the AV debacle. Fares very nice, thatched roof and timber shutters, blocking out most daylight if needed for an afternoon nap. Open air bathroom lovely, love being able to look up at the sky whilst in the shower. Even had a resident crab staking his claim in the rock / coral shower wall. The fares were well screened, with a solid door into the bathroom. There was also a net over the bed which we didn't use. Because the roof was thatched with no lining underneath, you did get a few leaves etc on the bed, but a quick brush off and all good. Bug spray and coils were also left in the bathroom for use. We used a coil on the first night, then didn't have to worry. King size bed very comfortable, and day bed also in the fare with plenty of bench space to put bags etc. The fare also had hanging space and shelves in the bathroom which was fantastic. The restaurant is being run by an Italian couple, Cindy and Paulo. Paulo is in the kitchen doing a wonderful job, and Cindy is running the front of house. You could see her in action training up the local staff, very efficient, and clearly loves what she and Paulo are doing. Paulo seemed to be on lunch and dinner most nights, don't know when they weren't there! The food on most nights was really great, some nights though, was absolutely fantastic. They do a seafood night (unsure of what night that was). The platters that came out looked beautiful. The eye fillet was melt in your mouth, while veges were in keeping with local cooking, but still tasted great. Breakers do not let this couple go anywhere! Breakfast was continental buffet and was included in fare price. This was more than adequate, including cereals, toast, pastries, different fruits, pancakes, yoghurt, juice and tea and coffee. You could order a hot breakfast off the menu which cost extra. Staff were all lovely. On arrival we had a quick chat and lovely juice. The reception staff were very helpful. You had to go up everyday and get a new wifi number. The resort could probably do a more intensive chat on arrival. We only found a room behind the restaurant on our last day with everything you needed for the water, including fins, masks and snorkels, reef shoes. We had our own, so weren't looking for anything like that, but you definitely needed reef shoes. There is a huge low tide, so the pool comes in hand. But low tide happens everywhere so you can't be worried about it, just go out, or use the pool. But if you can book a holiday around high tide and good swimming times, that helps. There were a couple of special nights held at Breakers, one night the fire dancers came and entertained everybody, and another night was a traditional night, with dancers, kava tasting. It all happens poolside whilst dining so no-one misses out. There was a local convenience store across the street. We didn't go over there, but a lot of people were coming back with bags of snacks etc. You can
