The entire experience at Tintswalo was outstanding. The staff were friendly, personable, looked after every need and I could not find fault. The food served was beautifully presented and delicious. The accommodation was superb with everything you would need at a 5 star game lodge including your own water bottle labelled with your name and a Tintswalo cap. We loved the traditional feel of the lodge and the little magical touches of decor everywhere! It is special! The knowledge and passion of our game ranger Dave and our tracker Wilsont was the cherry on the top and having been to many lodges over many years, I can honestly say they were a fabulous team and one of the best! We learned so much from them! I will be sending and referring clients to Tintswalo Safari - it is a team that is a cut above the rest and a true South African game lodge experience! Accommodations are unique and perfect, the staff (including our personal butler) top notch, the animals in the lodge area are aware but not fearful and worth spending a day just watching. Our game driver and game spotter were well qualified and top notch, we found all the animals we were seeking except one, and that leopard was not in the mood to be found. The lodge has an excellent but limited menu, however they did their best to accommodate food sensitivities (which we did not disclose until we arrived). The activities at the lodge were well planned and added another high point to our visit. Recommend without reservations.

The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are luxurious. The staff is attentive and the food excellent. The game drives were fun and we encountered more animals than we imagined possible. Lovely vacation with additional surprises!

We would encourage anyone interested in visiting South Africa to take advantage of Safari at Tintswalo. The property blends into the scenery and the service is amazing. Take advantage of all the Game Drives suggested. You won't be disappointed in seeing wildlife in their habitat.

ON our 5th last trip to Africa our group of 13 stayed at Tintswalo for our first 3 nights on safari. Tamsyn and her team provided an exceptional stay the ranks at the top for our multiple visits to the continent. Tintswalo offers a feeling of being at home. The rooms are exceptional and the meal offerings included and opportunity to enjoy some of the local cuisine to include ostrich and kudu steaks. The fresh water spot for the elephants give you and opportunity to get up close. If you want a chance to experience the class of South Africa, stay here! You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I learned of this safari as I had booked a River Cruise with AmaWaterways as an extension. The knowledge of the tracker and Rangers is immense. The food is delicious and plentiful.

Everything was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Service was great, facilities stunning and game drives out of this world. Our ranger and tracker were top class. An experience we will never forget. The food, snacks, high tea, boma dinner, morning bush breakfast, and night time drinks bar were incredible. The small details the team puts in is very special. Thank you to everything.

Tintswalo Safari thinks of everything from insect lotion to hot water bottles and blankets to keep you warm on those cold morning safaris. The accommodations were amazing. They cater to every whim. And the wildlife viewing was spectacular. Staying in a private reserve is the way to go. Less crowded and the ability to go “off road” means you get to see so much more.

Just an exceptional lodge & reserve. The Tintswalo team exceeded our expectation in every way. The photos do not capture how wonderful & luxurious the rooms are - truly like out of a movie. Every detail so nice. The food & service were excellent. The team could not have been more accommodating - immediately responding to - even anticipating all requests. And the safari drives - wow - lions on the hunt, hyena cubs playing, cheetah, hippos, rhinos, zebra, giraffe, and so many more. Highly recommended!
