Rochester Calafate

After flying down from Buenos Aries I stayed at this Hotel in El. Calafate. Very nice place!! Breakfast was nothing special which came with the room accommodations. The open property and the grounds were very nice! Was nice to be out in the country compared to the big cities!! Nice and quiet!!

From the moment I checked in until check out it was a very pleasant experience. I asked for early check in and I was able to check in a couple of hours before normal check in times. I was instantly greeted by a warm smile from the front desk associate (this lady is fantastic). I got to my room and was very clean and tidy. I headed out for lunch and was greeted by another friendly staff member (she was awesome) that gave me some suggestions for lunch. The bar attendant was very polite and friendly like pretty much everyone I got in contact to. Breakfast is included and is served between 6:30 to 10am. With multiple bread options, lots of beverages and assorted pastries. The breakfast attendant was also very friendly and polite. I had a great experience staying at this hotel and it's like 30 minutes walk to the downtown. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any solo travel or family vacation. Thanks to everyone that helped me had a great time here. This staff really loves providing great service in hospitality.

This is a lovely hotel an easy walk from the lakeside. Staff were helpful and the room was very nice. However it is quite distant from the the town and the shuttle bus is not very helpful - only starting in the afternoon and finishing early - so unless you have transport or hire a taxi you may be stuck in the hotel on an evening. Since the food was good this was not a problem for me. It is well worth visiting the Lago Nimez nature reserve the other side of town to see many birds. It is 90 minutes walk along the lakeside which would have been pleasant but for the very high winds which made it uncomfortable. I was told autumn is less windy .

The hotel is beautiful and clean , the breakfast is very good they have multiple selections of food, the shuttle bus service it’s a plus . We use it several times and they are always on time , receptionist we’re all very attentive, I love the fact that they use WhatsApp for any questions or concerns , staff for the restaurant are very nice and kind, we recommend this hotel .
