Pioneros del Valle is in the middle of all the starting points for the hiking around El Chaltén, making it very convenient as a base. The staff are incredibly helpful, and that was a huge bonus to staying here. In addition, the kitchen is large and well-equipped kitchen with many refrigerators and space for groups to hang out and share a meal. There are so many good restaurants and pastelerias close to Pioneros del Valle, that if you are not cooking a meal, you may walk to the eateries. I strongly suggest Banneton for breakfast, and for dinner you can try Maffia (amazing freshly made pasta), La Oveja Negra, and several burger spots just up the road.

Ame este hostel!!!!! La ubicación excelente igual todo es cerca, la atención de los chicos de la recepción lo más!!! Las habitaciones compartidas super amplias con baño algo super importante y con la ducha separada, bajo un punto por que le faltan luces individuales y estantes a cada cama además cuando te bañas se inunda todo el baño. La limpieza impecable, todos los días pasaban y limpiaban hasta te hacían la cama. Y también bajo un punto por que el desayuno no está incluido en la tarifa y te lo cobran CARISIMOOOOO. La cocina super cómoda, amplia con 3 heladeras y gran espacio en zonas comunes. Conoci muy linda gente. Son super estrictos con el horario de uso de la cocina solamente es hasta las 23 hs y después de esa hora se apagan todas las luces , me parece perfecto que se respete el horario de descanso de los demás.

Exactamente lo que estábamos buscando, a un precio super razonable. Fuimos a una habitación privada con baño privado (éramos 2, tenía 3 camas) y era amplia, cómoda y estaba super limpia, con vistas a la montaña. Desayuno correcto, con café, jugo, tostadas, medialunas, huevos revueltos, lo necesario para salir a caminar. Buenas áreas comunes y una cocina muy bien equipada. Buena predisposción del personal. La ubicación es excelente, a pocas cuadras del inicio del sendero al Fitz Roy, y cerca de un supermercado y restaurantes y bares.

Worst place I’ve ever been. The stuff was not nice and treat us with racism, the sockets in the room didn’t work and the Wi-Fi isn’t working as well. The kitchen was really messed. Bad experience. I don’t recommend this place.

Worst hostel i have been in. Horrible treatment to Israelis because of the prejudice of the stuff. Yelled at us, cursed us and threatened us that they will kick us out if we ever stayed awake after 11 pm.
