As motel value shoppers, we don’t need frills, just a clean, comfortable bed and a functional AC. This motel is trying hard to get there - it’s had a recent face-lift and it looks like it would fit our bill. Unfortunately, clean at this motel is only skin deep. Woke up at 4:30 AM to find 2 bugs crawling across our legs inside the sheets. Turned on the light and saw 3 additional bugs crawling atop the bed next to us. Water bugs? Not sure, didn’t matter. Our clothes, folded on the desk had bugs on them too. Got dressed and left immediately. Not the kind of value we were looking for.

I understand this isnt a 5 star hotel, but still expected a clean room. Floor was very dirty, pillows were shoved into drawer and had no pillow case, no washcloths, no soap, bugs crawling on floor.

Never have been to a worse motel. When I pulled back the bed spread I observed a dead small bug and dirty sheets . I couldn’t stay and checked out immediately.

Room was clean and spacious. Large parking lot and shade area for enjoying the weather. Friendly and VERY accommodating staff. Will definitely stay AGAIN!

It provided an affordable place to spend the night. It appeared clean overall. Air worked. Decent shower, but bathroom sink did not drain as it should. Bathroom floor had possibly been replaced but not correctly as the tiles were cracked/broken. We had several flies in the room, but used our road map to distinguish them😊. Not a terrible experience as it was affordable.

When I got to Whispering Pines, they were full and had relocated me to one of their other hotels. The other hotel, Travelers Inn was further away, in a less desirable part of town, and the owner refused to give me a refund.
