Secure cctv covered car park, which is barrier controlled and free to hotel users. Reception staff very friendly and accommodating, very good English spoken. Our room was very good, spacious with a large en suite. A fridge is in the room and a safe. Only criticism is the lack of sockets for electrical items near to the bed. Had to use a bathroom socket to charge my tablet, as the tv socket was being used to charge the phone. Having said that, the hotel is a few hundred years old with walls as thick as a cliff face, so accept some minor issues. The hotel was brilliant, well kept outside as well as inside. Fantastic views over the city and surrounding areas. Historically one of the best locations available in Elvas. Breakfast was good though the bacon and scrambled eggs were on the cold side. A great continental breakfast selection with yogurts and fresh fruit available also. Staff were without exception faultless. Always friendly polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will return.

This was our second visit to this hotel and it really is a lovely place. The building is a converted convent and the convention has been beautifully done. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice in a buffet style. The staff are friendly and attentive, especially the breakfast and Bar staff. We first visited not long after the hotel had opened and it was noticeably busier on this visit. Elvas is a lovely place to wander round. The fortifications, castle, small ally ways, churches, gardens & museums are a joy to explore. It also has some great quality restaurants. Would highly recommend Adega Regional, Recanto de São Paulo & especially Acontece. There is plenty of free parking around the hotel if you are traveling by car and it makes a great base for exploring the area, even nipping over the border into Spain. Look forward to returning again.

Simply amazing. A lovely restauration of an old building that came out to be a beautiful hotel. The only problem that they were not allowed to add an elevator - but the staff is helping and bringing the luggage up and down. We had a gourmet dinner there and a lovely and informative service from Joao the owner and the rest of the staff. Highly recommended.

The rooms are very comfortable with good beds and spacious. There is a very quiet place to find rest. There is a very nice space but it's only a pity the pool is so dirty and degraded, they told us they were waiting for the high season(?). The sympathy of the girls of the reception was what we most enjoyed.

The buffet breakfast, very diversified and with excellent products, the room team that makes everything to make us feel like at home and is always available to meet our requests is 5 stars. The swimming pool of the best ... The top location, 3 min. walk from the center of Elvas, 10 min from Badajoz and very close to other imperviable points to visit.
