[Rooms] The rooms are basically facing the river, but there are some rooms without a view where the river cannot be seen due to the roof. Even though it's called a river, it's just a normal river, and the mountains that can be seen over there are also normal mountains, so I don't think it's worth worrying too much about the view. I was traveling alone, so it was a single room on the 4th floor, but it was close to the elevator and had a view. [Bath] The single room had a unit bath, but I used the hot spring bath exclusively. I was very satisfied with the large dressing room, the open-air bath, and the quality of the hot springs. Guests can also use the adjacent day-trip hot spring facility, so I wonder if everyone will go there, and the hotel's public bath was always reserved for me alone (I stayed for 4 nights...). [Breakfast] I was worried about corona, so I used a plan that offers room service of Japanese bento. It was 6500 yen for one night with breakfast, so it was a little shabby Japanese bento for the price, but it was enough for me with a small meal. If you don't really care about corona measures, I think you should choose breakfast at a regular restaurant. [Access] There is a free shuttle bus from JR Nakatsugawa Station. If you combine it with a local bus (the bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the hotel), you will have no trouble sightseeing in the surrounding area even if you are traveling on foot. Magome-juku is a 7-minute bus ride.

The surrounding transportation and shopping are not far away. You can see it by opening Google. I stayed here for 2 days in order to walk all the way from Magome to Minamigiso on Nakasendo. It was very convenient. There is a large supermarket nearby on the 1st floor. There is a small cake counter that is amazing! Recommended together.

Fantastic location amongst beautiful gardens. The owner Mayasaysan is extremely helpful, meeting and greeting all his guests as well as being an amazing chef. This is a family business which has extremely authentic accommodation with each guest having their own hut-building separated by gardens so maximum privacy is ensured. You have the option of using your own bathroom or using the shared onsen. A delicious meal was enjoyed thanks to Masayason’s cooking skills. For those walking the Nakasendo Way this is a great recharge location and there is the hotel bus to take you to Ochiai to start your next day’s walk if you do not wish to do the 4kms of road walking to get to Ochiai. A really relaxing stay and I sincere hope this property can stay on the family for years to come, as it has done for over a couple of hundred years already. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Breakfast is very good, not far from the station, about 7 km from the bandit Outlets. It is convenient to have a convenience store and a place to eat around. Hotel registration four stars

We stayed here one night at the end of a walk along the Nakasendo way from Magome to Tsumago. The hotels shuttle bus picked us up. It’s about 20 minutes drive. I was given a choice of yukata to wear, but not my husband (as if he cared anyway!) We had a Japanese style room with a small balcony and after a delicious dinner in our own little dining cubicle, we came back to our room to find futons laid out on the floor. We didn’t try the onsen and unfortunately the private onsen was fully booked until 10pm. Breakfast was also Japanese cuisine. The serving staff were delightful. There is a guest lounge where you can help yourself to tea and coffee and newspapers. We were driven to the train station after breakfast. I’m not sure what other activities are available if you were to stay longer. One slight negative- the ensuite bathroom in our room was a bit dated. Overall, it was a great experience.

This Ryokan was perfectly situated: very near the station but not too close. What I loved about this Ryokan was that it was a modern, chic version of an old Japanese Ryokan. My room was light, fresh and spacious. The Ryokan was new, 2 years old, so it had the mod cons whilst being very aware of being eco friendly. As to be expected in Japan it was spotlessly clean and the staff were incredibly attentive. Although not fluent in English, they made every attempt to communicate through Google translate etc. I felt very welcomed here. I highly recommend this Ryokan and would definitely return.

From Nakatsugawa Station, it was 10 minutes by taxi (1200 yen weak). There was a family nearby, but it was raining, so I had a night meal at a restaurant. The room is small and the bed is hard anyway! WOWOW was free to see. The public bath is on the first floor, but three people are limited ... Breakfast was free but it was a good number of items.

The room is large, there are many types of hot spring pools, and there are some leisure facilities. Unfortunately, we arrived at the hotel too late and some services have been rested. The breakfast type is very rich, and you can see the beautiful scenery of Huina Gorge outside the window. It is very pleasant. I originally wanted to eat breakfast and then soak in the soup. I didn’t expect it to be the hot spring cleaning time after 9 o’clock. It’s a pity.
