Pana Unique Charyn

The location is exceptional for fully enjoying the Charyn Canyon, offering that rare feeling of being alone in the world in the late afternoon or early morning, once the other visitors have left. The rooms are pleasantly furnished, but several issues unfortunately detract from the experience. The bathroom clearly suffers from humidity problems, the shower only provides lukewarm water, and the mattress is far too soft for a comfortable night's sleep. Adding to this, the room's refrigerator compressor runs constantly with a particularly annoying noise; we had to unplug it at 2 AM just to get some sleep. Finally, the curtains aren't blackout, so the room is already flooded with light by 4:30 AM. In summary, the location is absolutely incredible, and the establishment has real potential. However, given the price, the value for money remains very disappointing.

Super nice location, with good air conditioning and a fridge in the room. Ideal for an overnight stay so you have the park all to yourself in the early morning in peace and quiet. Breakfast was fine. Yes, it's a pricey stay, but you are also in a unique location. In our opinion, it's definitely worth the money, and we don't recognize ourselves in the negative reviews online.

The biggest pros of this place are the beautiful surroundings and view, as well as the comfortable bed and the very pleasant room decor. The cons were the noticeable sewage smell and the lack of a hairdryer – it wasn't even possible to borrow one from reception. The price of the stay is quite high relative to the amenities offered. Breakfast at the restaurant (with a choice of a few options like scrambled eggs, omelet, or oatmeal) is included in the price, but it's only served from 9:00 AM, which meant we couldn't take advantage of it.
