Me and my partner came to lusty beg for the beginning of our honeymoon and were very excited but when we arrived to our room we were very disappointed. Firstly when we got to our room there were stained empty glasses left outside the room that were left from previous guests and were not removed until the next morning. Inside the room at first glance was nice. But we quickly seem how dirty it was. The room was covered in cobwebs/ dead and alive spiders and curtains were ripped/stained. Behind the TV (which was visible when you walked in) was covered in webs and dust. The TV remote had thick dirt on it was never cleaned we didn't want to touch it. When we arrived the receptionist gave us a list of all the activities and prices. But when we went to actually do the activities there was no staff available for any of them or they just didn't want to do it. For example.. we paid £50 for the two of us to do archery but when we arrived at our booking time we weren't greeted by anybody and nothing was set up. After waiting 5 minutes we called reception to let them know then 10 minutes later staff turned up, looking as if they really couldn't be annoyed to be there. It was extremely awkward and we felt bad for even taking up they're time even though we had paid for it.. and we only got to play for 20 minutes. Felt extremely ripped off. We were excited to do the spa treatments (the main reason we went here) but any time we asked for a massage or any type of treatment they had nothing for us. So we had to settle for a shared bath barrel experience. These were located outside and they were covered in webs also. The best thing about it was the view, and the lady serving us was nice, but it came to a total of £97 for what, at the end of the day was just hot water and a few flower peddles and a dressing gown. We came 4 days before Halloween . So the tennis court was filled with all I can describe as was a pumpkin graveyard left to rot. So no tennis. We asked for a boat ride, which was on the list of activities, again we were told sorry can't do that.. even though it was offered to us when we arrived. The breakfast was stale and felt like a school breakfast club. Coffee wasn't even warm. Food for dinner was actually enjoyable but was very overpriced. The staff looked miserable and looked like they hated us for being there. But shout out to a girl called Alex who was actually very good and attentive she saved the vibe a few times and made cracking cocktails. The bar was a nice atmosphere, very cosy and warm. There was a live musician called Aaron Wilson. Probably one of the best singers we've ever heard and he was the saving grace in the experience. Morale of the story. We felt like we had no choice other than to get pissed at the bar to get any sort of satisfaction out of it which wasn't our intention at all. This felt like a very negative review but at the end of the day it's just the experience we had and we have to be truthful so others aren't as
