We had a one night stay on Lusty Beg island. Our room was very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was really nice and all the staff were very helpful

Me and my partner came to lusty beg for the beginning of our honeymoon and were very excited but when we arrived to our room we were very disappointed. Firstly when we got to our room there were stained empty glasses left outside the room that were left from previous guests and were not removed until the next morning. Inside the room at first glance was nice. But we quickly seem how dirty it was. The room was covered in cobwebs/ dead and alive spiders and curtains were ripped/stained. Behind the TV (which was visible when you walked in) was covered in webs and dust. The TV remote had thick dirt on it was never cleaned we didn't want to touch it. When we arrived the receptionist gave us a list of all the activities and prices. But when we went to actually do the activities there was no staff available for any of them or they just didn't want to do it. For example.. we paid £50 for the two of us to do archery but when we arrived at our booking time we weren't greeted by anybody and nothing was set up. After waiting 5 minutes we called reception to let them know then 10 minutes later staff turned up, looking as if they really couldn't be annoyed to be there. It was extremely awkward and we felt bad for even taking up they're time even though we had paid for it.. and we only got to play for 20 minutes. Felt extremely ripped off. We were excited to do the spa treatments (the main reason we went here) but any time we asked for a massage or any type of treatment they had nothing for us. So we had to settle for a shared bath barrel experience. These were located outside and they were covered in webs also. The best thing about it was the view, and the lady serving us was nice, but it came to a total of £97 for what, at the end of the day was just hot water and a few flower peddles and a dressing gown. We came 4 days before Halloween . So the tennis court was filled with all I can describe as was a pumpkin graveyard left to rot. So no tennis. We asked for a boat ride, which was on the list of activities, again we were told sorry can't do that.. even though it was offered to us when we arrived. The breakfast was stale and felt like a school breakfast club. Coffee wasn't even warm. Food for dinner was actually enjoyable but was very overpriced. The staff looked miserable and looked like they hated us for being there. But shout out to a girl called Alex who was actually very good and attentive she saved the vibe a few times and made cracking cocktails. The bar was a nice atmosphere, very cosy and warm. There was a live musician called Aaron Wilson. Probably one of the best singers we've ever heard and he was the saving grace in the experience. Morale of the story. We felt like we had no choice other than to get pissed at the bar to get any sort of satisfaction out of it which wasn't our intention at all. This felt like a very negative review but at the end of the day it's just the experience we had and we have to be truthful so others aren't as

We went for a birthday spa trip for 4 women. The pool closed at 4.30, no spa treatments available. The swimming pool was very basic I definitely would not call this a 4star break. Food and accommodation was ok but overall I'd rate it 2 star because it's far from a luxury spa.

We stayed in a cabin which was beautiful. We used the pool facilities, the pool was lovely and warm. We enjoyed a really lovely dinner and cocktails at the resturant and danced the night away on the dance floor to great music. I would definitely come again!

We had our wedding at lusty beg in August 2024 and I couldn’t recommend lusty beg highly enough. All correspondence was excellent on the lead up to the wedding and boy did they deliver on food, service, atmosphere and location! The wedding room was beautifully laid out and Kirsty did an excellent job on the day keeping everything running. They catered so well to our guests that had any dietary requirements and made sure they had everything they needed. Our room was perfect with the added touch of a bottle of Prosecco! All our guest were also happy with their accommodation! Breakfast the next day was also really good and so relaxed! Our second day BBQ in the thatch was delicious and everyone was enjoying the chilled out atmosphere, relaxing on an island. If you’re looking for a beautiful relaxed peaceful setting this is the place for you! Thank you so much to all the staff, even down to the boat driver who took the time to deliver excellent customer service to us and all our guests!highly recommend and we will be back again soon

Fabulous time with my daughters - always wanted to visit Lusty Beg and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails. Thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay we even did the Fairy Trail , took a dip in the pool , had lunch and dinner and then sang along with the karaoke .

We were looking forward to our visit as due to to past experience we had a great times here, but sadly, this time it is clear that standards have dropped. The most significant issue was the poor service we encountered before and during our meal. From the moment we arrived, it seemed we were ignored, We waited several minutes before being greeted by a server, and after being seated, it took an extremly long time to receive our menu. The workers all seemed to be students and had no true hospitality interest. The lack of attentive service and the sence that we were a burden to the servers made for a poor dining experience. Having read older reviews, I totally agree that the resort is a 3 star masquerading as a 4 star. We wont be rushing back.

Stayed for 2 nights in July. Lovely peaceful resort but felt it lacked something that I can't quiet put my finger on. Reception staff were lovely and polite. Most of the staff seem to be young students and lovely but felt service was quiet slow at times and the odd person lacked the basic necessary skills for the service industry. The room we stayed in was decorated tastefully, mattress was very soft and dipped in the middle. The only mirror in the room is in the bathroom which is annoying if you are trying to use hair tools. Shower is great. We did Archery which was fun but I thought quiet expensive for the length of time spent. Tennis court is a bid sad, needs to be resurfaced to play properly. The Fairy Trail is a nice little walk. The food in the restaurant is lovely but don't go for the steak, hugely overpriced. Lasagne was delicious and the hot breakfast items were delicious. The bar has a lot more potential in it. It could be a really cosy place to relax in, instead the seats are like my granny's kitchen table chairs, not something you want to be enjoying an evening of drinking on. Also no high stools at the bar. We enjoyed our stay and its something to tick off the list but I wouldn't go back and would only recommend if there was a deal on.
