Overall a very pleasant two-night stay at the world’s oldest Marriott hotel, and in beautiful surroundings. Booked an accessible room which had a wet room style shower, however there were still a number of steps to access this from the car park, thankfully not a problem for us. As we arrived late on the first night having not eaten, ordered a light snack and drinks via room service which was delivered without a long wait, however felt we paid a lot for what we got. Our basic room in one of the newer buildings seemed to have been refurbished fairly recently and was both spacious and comfortable. Artwork is an acquired taste! Parking available just outside however it did seem to be just adequate for the number of guests needing to use it. There are disabled bays near to the building entrance which were helpful to my partner who has difficulty with uneven surfaces, however these were sometimes being used by vehicles not displaying badges. Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as there are cheaper options nearby if you only want a light bite.
