This hotel was amazing. Chris and Dale were super nice. Room was very clean, beds were very comfortable. Place seemed very clean. Would totally stay here again. Was a very pleasant stay. Area was quiet, hot tub was a super nice touch. If I’m ever in the area again, would stay here hands down.

I was very disappointed in my experience with this property, but I really should have expected it. This hotel is located at the entrance of Cedar Point. It is also just a mile or so away from Sports Force Park and Cedar Point Sports Center. All that adds up to A LOT of excited children in the hotel who generally believe sound doesn’t travel past their own personal space. In addition, the walls at this hotel are PAPER THIN. Voices in the adjacent rooms were clearly audible, every door slam, every footstep and conversation in the hall was as though it was right there in our room! Worst HIE experience for noise I have ever experienced, but as I noted, I should have expected it. That’s on me. As far as positives, the front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was hot and well-stocked. It was very busy and the attendant was working very hard to make sure everyone had enough food. That was commendable. Obviously, location was also excellent - couldn’t be more central to the activities. My advice is to avoid this hotel at all costs. Unless you have an 8am match at Sports Force and need to be close, I would suggest staying 20-30 miles away. This hotel is INSANELY expensive and you will be disappointed that you spent that much money to keep from driving 1/2 hour to the park, plus you’ll get no sleep. My family and I will never use this hotel again. AVOID!

It started out really bad like the commercial on tv, with the mom waving at her children across the hotel lot. They corrected the error and we ended up in a suite of five beds. The check in time is at three in the afternoon instead of letting you choose. The service for the room was very awesome. Thank you

Don’t be discouraged by negative reviews! Hotel is under new management (for a few months now) and it shows. Room was very clean, the bed comfortable, staff was great! Breakfast was typical Hampton fare, well stocked and tidy. Manager personally spoke with every guest in the breakfast area, following up with some, noting concern of another. Really what hospitality is all about. Stayed one night for solar eclipse.

Only spent one night while attending a wedding in Sandusky. We found the property attractive and our second floor two queen room comfortable, clean, and sufficiently appointed with a nice size TV, microwave, modest mini-fridge, and in room safe. Particularly appreciated that the bathroom was a walk-in shower as opposed to a more traditional tub/shower configuration. The lack of an in room coffee maker was disappointing and the on site Starbucks had limited hours (6 am - 9 pm). The resort is annoyingly cashless meaning that even small purchases required using a credit card. While we didn't use many of the amenities during this stay the pool area, public spaces, restaurant, bars, and market including the adjoining golf course were inviting reflecting recent updates. Note rooms are a considerable distance from the single elevator and most resort amenities. The “resort” has small convention facilities which could be annoying if booking for a couple or small family escape. Would certainly consider for a longer stay if visiting nearby Cedar Point or a short escape.

JJane GAfter a long day in the car it was nice to pull into a hotel that is right off the Ohio Turnpike, so convenient. We were greeted by Melissa who found our reservation quickly. No muss no fuss. Great front desk person. Our room was clean well appointed with VERY comfortable beds and pillows. All the staff were very friendly. They helped us find a nice restaurant for dinner, greeted us in the halls and engaged us in pleasant chit chat in the elevator. All in all, though our stay was short it was great.
GGuest UserBeds are hard. Bathrooms outdated. Carpet not swept. I always lift mattresses, pull sheets down, look in pillows, all were very clean! Brkfst cld hv been better, they had eggs & sausage patties but no biscuits or gravy or croissants to put sausage on. No pool open but they sd we cld go down the street to sister hotel (who wants to do that, what an inconvenience). Our 1st room smelled like someone had a smoking fest in it then sprayed febreeze so I went to front desk & asked for a different room, so much better smelling. Luke at the front desk was exceptional, helpful & most courteous. He shld be promoted to Mngr. The blonde girl the next morning at the desk complete opposite, seemed as if she was dazed and confused. We were here May 29-30, normally we stay at the one in Port Clinton however this was Memorial Day Wknd & that one had no vacancy so we ended up at this one in Milan. The one in Port Clinton has softer beds, up to date bathrooms, swept carpets, open indoor pool, very nice breakfast and super clean! The current mngr here needs to perform better, there is no reason the pool shldnt hv been open by Memorial Day Wknd, breakfast needs improvement and the room that smelled horribly like smoke should have been addressed by room service & mngt shld be spot checking rooms weekly. Mngt shld be having conversation with housekeeping advising them if they come across smoke smelling rooms as they are cleaning what to do in that instance. There is no excuse for a guest to walk into a room that smells that badly from smoke and then to hv a maid/housekeeper just spray something to hide the smell is ridiculous and pure laziness. I hv housekeeping experience in a cpl of nice hotels it’s not a hard job to keep a clean room. Overall a nice hotel just needs good management which at this time doesn’t exist. Again, Luke is a terrific asset to this company and I hope the owner(s) recognize that!! (He knows what it takes).
We were here for a softball tournament at Sports Force park July 2024. The hotel is close (15 min) to the fields and Cedar Point. Everything was clean and housekeeping was friendly. The breakfast was good with the usual offerings. We stayed in room 333 for 3 nights. No sign of bed bugs (I check religiously since I was exposed at work.) I confirmed with front desk that they have not had an infestation of them in a few years. Front desk staff was outstanding and even had complementary chocolates! Highly recommend!
GGuest UserGreat room, clean and well lit. Seemingly safe location and quiet. The stay was overall good, easy to find. You won't be disappointed in this hotel. Clearly, it is not a 5 star hotel. However, it is way worth the price you pay. The staff was attentive and helpful both checking in and when leaving.
GGuest UserI booked a room for 2 nights kind of last minute on the holiday weekend. I am experienced staying in a variety of hotels and have stayed in almost every hotel in this area because I frequently go cedar point with my children and their mother. Overall price was okay considering the weekend and the events in the area, bike week and holiday weekend. The ac in the room did not work at all. The first night it was 80 degrees in the room and thankfully there was a window I could open to somewhat alleviate the issue. I was tired and was unsure if it was truly not working or I just didnt do something correctly. We had a busy schedule planned and spending time messing with the AC was not on the forefront of my agenda. The second night when we got back to the room I had the AC set on 50 all day and it was once again 80 degrees. At this point I was highly annoyed because honestly if theres one thing I expect from any hotel room it is work ac and cable. I decided in the end not to say anything to staff because it was a holiday weekend and I highly doubt they would have switched my room because of this. I also didnt feel like spending the time or effort having to deal with staff and get upset for no real resolution. Doubt I would consider booking there again.
GGuest UserI was a bit disappointed that the tiki bar no longer existed. And there was not a hot breakfast, it was a grab and go breakfast. I’ve stayed there many times before but this time some Guest were very noisy and loud during the night and early morning.
Let me say the staff was great and the room was clean.
I e3njoyed my time there with my family for my cedar point trip. The pool was inviting loved their Marketplace. Melissa the manager was very polite and helpful. As well as Amber and Beki. They actually joked around with us. Breakfast was good also. I needed that coffee in the morning. What renovations that has happened since last year are great!
2.5 / 5 While the rooms have been updated, the hotel is old and dated and smells as such. The bathrooms are small and was not well cleaned. Lots of hairs that were not mine on the walls, tub, toilet. The water pressure is excellent, but the ventilation is poor. Taking a hot shower not only steamed up the bathroom, but the bedroom as well. There is no storage, aside from a small box cubby that is maybe 12”x12”, and 3 random coat hangers that hang on pegs on the wall. The tv does not feature a guide, so no way to know what is on or what channel is which. Also, no way to change the input source.. so unable to use your own fire stick. The side door, even though advertised that a room key is required, was not locked while we were there. So anyone could just walk in. The restaurant was not open in the 4 days we were there. The breakfast is minimal, with just enough to be able to advertise having a breakfast. The front desk was mostly unstaffed. Although, the one time I needed help, the attendent was friendly once he showed up. We stayed here because there was a baseball tournament in town, and most hotels were booked up. If we needed a hotel in the area again, this would not be my first choice
Tts_cs1234We stayed in a deluxe queen room to get the fridge. The room is decently sized. We were able to fit in our twin air mattress. Beds are comfortable, and the room is mostly clean. We did not use the pool or hot tub. The towels are small, but for the price we paid, we were fine with that. Our room had 2 small table sets, with 4 total chairs. The little kitchen area was nice for prepping easy food. The train is noisy! Bring earplugs or grab some at Walmart. We stayed here for a visit to Cedar Point and found this motel to be a great location, only about 15 minutes away.
YyoumyersThis is the second time we have stayed here and it is a very nice place. The only issues we experience was that the hair dryer didn't work and the shower gel dispenser was empty. The staff was very polite and helpful.
