Hello, the staff was very friendly and accommodating! The room furnishings were very worn - estimated to be 35 years old. The traffic was very loud. Even with the windows closed. The food was good, but unfortunately we weren't full. Unfortunately, we don't have a photo of the mouse in the bar.

I’ve been staying in this hotel on and off since 2007 and very little has changed since then. Rooms are quite tired and maintenance is haphazard. That being said, its location is great (very near Arcarden, the Bahnhof and most of the good eateries) and breakfast is the best in town (selection, freshness, friendly service). There is also a very underused sauna/gym area but good luck finding it. I’ll keep staying here because I know it and love it.

Placed a booking for this hotel in December 22 with plenty of notice needed 4 night Stay in the hotel for May 23. I have just had an email from the hotel stating that they will put up the hotel room which they had confirmed for me up by €500, or they will cancel, what a ridiculous service they are offering and this is blackmail of the highest order do anybody play by the rules anymore? This is unbelievable how they can confirm in December. I arranged my flights and details train fare booked everything these people can cancel your arrangements. What happened to good faith honour all out of the window with this company, I’m afraid.

Good hotel option, excellent location with plenty restaurants and bars nearby. I stayed here during a business trip. The lobby area and bar was very good, looked new and modern. The room is maybe in need of some renovation. Although it's winter, the AC was disabled however my room was very hot during the night. No ironing board available in the room, you have to go downstairs to iron which I found very strange. The breakfast options at the buffet were pretty good actually. Overall it was a good stay. The service was very good.

The name says it all! "First house on the square" Hidden entrance but then surprised by the great building! Conference hotel/business/weekend guests are very welcome! Great rooms and a fantastic breakfast! The loyal souls in all years pass on the warmth to the guests and also to their team! Marianne at breakfast, the breakfast cooks, as well as the housekeeper! The professionalism at reception, is available to answer any questions at any time! In the evening, a small selection of bistro dishes! Great bar with an extended lobby, here the local beer tastes good as well as the gin and tonic! The team, such great and different nationalities, with friendliness and passion can be felt throughout the house! I haven't been able to experience this for a long time! I will be coming back and am already looking forward to the reopening of the in-house restaurant, which is currently under renovation! I was already able to look through the window! Deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars! Keep up the good work!

Very disappointing. Small old room, no air conditioning.Restaurant closed. Only beer garden nearby with student food. Also refugees in the hotel who hang around everywhere and are noisy. Not suitable for 60 plus. Bad bed, soft pillows. Bathroom with shower in bath. Very low sink.

The central location near the university hospital is certainly the strength of the Bayerischer Hof. The restaurant was closed - without any advance notice - and the breakfast was adequate. The single room, however, was not only very far away and not fully accessible by elevator, it also had the charm of the last millennium. The retrofitted air conditioning system hanging on the wall is just one example. Certainly not appropriate for a 4-star hotel. Certainly OK for a short stopover - but there are certainly more pleasant options for a longer stay.

We had booked two single rooms in the Bayrischer Hof. At reception we were told that our room would be on the fourth or third floor and that we should go to the stairs to get to the third floor. When we asked where the elevator was, we were told that the elevator was broken and we would have to use the stairs. Mind you, we had to go to the third floor. As I have a mobility problem and we were not told beforehand that we would have to use the stairs, I asked for an alternative. The alternative would have been to pay €50 to get another room that could be reached by elevator. We have never experienced anything like this before - this is a four-star hotel that places great value on being the best in town. I cannot understand the hotel's approach. As a disabled person you are forced to choose a more expensive price category. I found this all incomprehensible and we booked another hotel in Erlangen. Personally, I would not set foot in the Bayrischer Hof again.

I had actually booked a single room in the simplest category here for a transit. I checked in a little before the actual check-in time. The reception staff were friendly. When I opened the door to the room, I was pleasantly surprised: I had been given an older but clean, spacious twin room with a large bathroom for single use. The only thing that was difficult to use was the modern TV, even for me as a "digital native". The breakfast buffet was excellent. The commitment of the breakfast waiter was particularly positive.

Why are single rooms usually so unloving and uncomfortable? Unfortunately, that was also the case here. There is a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Otherwise, I could not see a four-star level. Positive: the vaulted cellar as a breakfast room. Breakfast was OK, nothing special - nothing to complain about. The hotel team is absolutely friendly - competent - and attentive. For that, I would like to say thank you. However, I will never stay in a single room on the ground floor again. The train station is 10 minutes away on foot. Shopping street 5 minutes.
