This hotel is excellent. Melike, from reception, is the sweetest girl ever and she accomodated us quickly and super nicely. She helped us with directions and she is super calm and funny. Her English is also amazing! Everything in this hotel was to the highest standards: the room, the cleaningness, the food, the service. The beds were super clean and amazingly comfortable. The cotton was super soft and I checked the brand of the pillow and sheets as they were so soft and super nice. They are from a brand that is made in Morocco: La Maison de Blanc. I wanna go back and go to this shop now, as I just wanted to sleep and sleep when I was there. I never rested so well in my entire life. Also the shower was fantastic! Clean, perfect pressure, always 100 perfect temperature, big shower at the top and normal shower under. The gel smelled nice... I mean, there was not a single defect in that room! The breakfast is super complete. You have got it all! Natural orange juice, excellent coffee, pastries, eggs... There is always a super smiley girl making omelettes or eggs to your taste. The guys in the breakfast room are super kind as well, very professional. We will definitely come back again. The hotel has super nice rooms looking at the sea and the sunsets from the hotel over the island of Mogador are out of this world! Also, the distance to the medina is just perfect. We didn´t want to be in a Riad this time, as they are a bit dirty, so we wanted a proper hotel. I want to come back already! And will come back to Hotel Cote Ocean Mogador! Oh Also, I noticed that if you rent a car there is a space to park!

Excellent hotel, large air conditioned rooms with super king bed, extremely comfortable! Few minutes walk to beach and medina. Great buffet breakfast and friendly, efficient staff. Would definitely stay again.

You know when you walk into a room and think 'oh yes!' ? That's this hotel. It's about the view, but not just about the view. That view though: right up and down the beach, perfect for sunset. Going to sleep and walking up listening to the waves roll in. The hotel is 5 minutes' walk to the Medina and close to both CTM and Supratours bus stops. Just across from the entrance is a beach bar and sun loungers. The breakfast spread is well worth getting up for with a wide selection of Moroccan and French options. The best thing though: Imane on the reception desk. She could not have been more friendly and helpful and made a great stay even better. Shkran Imane!

Very well located, clean and comfortable. But overpriced (we paid over 200 euros for a triple room for one night). Breakfast buffet was good though. There is a pool, which we did not use. Triple room was practical for our family. Overall, would come back if it wouldn’t be for the price tag.

Hotel is in a great location directly opposite the beach in Essouera. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Balconies had a glass front and so gave uninterrupted views of the beach and out to sea. Breakfast wasn't particularly good. We ate out for dinner and there are many good options not far away.

I did not like being electrocuted from the faulty kettle in the room. I further disliked the only option to remedy the situation being told to "wear slippers". I really don't think I should have to wear rubber soled shoes to protect me from getting a 240v AC shock from an appliance provided by the hotel. The hotel were not interested in resolving the issue in any way. I videoed the maintenance guys visit but this got nothing more than shrugged shoulders from any of the staff. They also changed the booking status to a "no show" as soon as I left to make it very difficult to pursue with ***********. Apart from one guy in the bar upstairs the staff were generally unhelpful during our stay anyway If I had wet feet or hands at the time or if it had happened to someone old or with a weak heart then the outcome would have been far worse.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and perfect views of the sea. Unfortunately this was clouded by the intrusive housekeeping staff who barged in on a few occasions ignoring the do not disturb sign on door handle, stained toilet seat, bathroom drain stink, rude receptionist and old man owner who sat every morning in the same seat watching and talking about guests as they enjoyed the buffet breakfast and shouting orders at staff. The spa was out of order and the pool too cold to swim in.

We booked this hotel with the free cancellation option whover the hotel managed to pre-charged my credit card which felt little unusual but I thought maybe this was done just as confirmation which was fine by me as we meant to stay at the place. After about a week we had a change of plan and decided to cancel the booking and book elsewhere. And to be honest a colleague of ours who have just stayed at the hotel recently have advised us to avoid the place as it would have been a total dispoointment for us. Any how as we are sti within our right for the free cancellation I was expecting the money would be straight back on the card but after few days and having sent a couple of emails to the property without response I had to contact *********** and was advised to allow them a further 5 days then 15 days. Eventually I had to forward a cplooy of the charge to *********** who advised me that the hotel are refusing to refund the full amount but as I'm within my rights *********** have agreed to refund me the charge as they would take this direct with the property. This has caused me so much stress and time waisting and I would advise anyone looking to book with this hotel to be very careful as my colleague will be posting his horrible bad experience review shortly and I'm glad that we are saved from staying with them

Booked a room on ***********. The reservation stated that money would'nt be deducted until my stay. But they charged my card immediately. Also, cancellation would be free of charge until 5 May 23:59 hrs. I canceled the booking on 5 May 19:05 hrs, within the free cancellation range. I received a confirmation of this cancellation. It stated I would get my money back within 2 weeks. That didn't happen. After having contact with the accommodation they told me I would get it my money a.s.a.p. It has been 4 weeks since I canceled the booking and still didn't get my money back. When I went upset about that they just deleted our whole conversation in *********** messenger so it was just gone and I couldn't reply to them any more. Very bad customer service. So glad I didn't stay here!!!! This is not a way to treat your customers or relations. Also, while we were in Essaouira (we booked a different accommodation) we passed by this hotel and it is next to a noisy road, it didn't look well maintained and it had no atmosphere.
Response from Property: Dear, You made a booking with smartflex program ***********. Yes we did charge you, and we wanted to refund, but only after contacting booking to avoid double refund as you sent another request directly to ***********. As promised, you will be refind, and we hope that you will have the decency to take back your comment as we could sue you for wrong and bad advertisng as you mention it in diffrrent social media.

Absolutely horrible, we arrived from Canada with reservations that had been booked a month earlier, and the hotel rented them out to someone else. When we asked to speak to the manager she was completely indifferent towards us and our situation in a foreign country. I would not recommend this hotel to travellers.

Hotel accommodations were booked a month in advance and when we arrived today our rooms had been given to someone else. After a long day of travel this was like a huge slap in the face! Will definitely not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Do not book here - your booking means nothing to them if they can resell your room for more money and leave you stranded. When they do that to you, they will be rude and not even offer you so much as a glass of water. Great location ruined by the way they choose run their business The porter is very nice though

This hotel is perfectly situated just in front of the beach and just a few 100 meters from the old town. The hotel is what to be expected of a 4 star hotel and frankly maybe not completely living up to the standards but this was compensated by engaged and friendly staff that did theirs best to make men feel welcome.. The rooms are spacious and mine had a balcony towards the sea with a perfect view of the sunset. There are several nice restaurants on the long and nice boardwalk. I recommend this hotel to the ones that go to the nice city of Essaouire for a few days R&R on the beach.

We wanted to go inside with a free table for 2 and they denied us service, recommending that we sit on the terrace, where it was impossible to be due to the wind and cold of the night. The problem was the bad attitude on the part of the waiters, with bad faces and little desire to work, something that had never happened to us in Morocco.
