We had a wonderful stay at the Briar Barn Inn. Our regular king suite was clean and cozy but also had plenty of room. It included a soaking tub and a walk-in shower, fireplace and a sitting area with Hulu Live TV. The bed was among the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Breakfast were croissants, scones and muffins the front desk told us were from local bakeries and coffee. It's a 15-20 minute drive to Crane Beach ($40 per car) and a 20-minute drive to Plum Island ($20 per car). It was our first New England inn experience, and it was a very good one. The restaurant was closed for July 4 while we were there.

This is my second time staying here, and it was just as pleasant as the first time. A comfortable room, everything works beautifully, plenty of outlets, and USB ports for recharging devices, and a super friendly staff. They were quite helpful in every regard, with a fast check in and check out. They were also spot on when I asked for a recommended restaurant for dinner. I went to Loretta’s, and it was great! The complimentary breakfast is also a great way to start my day. Will always be coming back to the Essex Street Inn when I visit Newburyport.

We stayed here for a girls weekend to Salem. It was an average hotel. We got the king room with 2 toddler beds, and toddler beds is accurate. Our room was in need of a renovation. We got 1 remote for 2 TV's, there were no photos on the wall, just empty wall anchors, our sink drained slow, outlets were coming out of the wall, the side tables all had kicks and missing paint. There was one mirror just in the bathroom, where friends had a double bed room and had 3 mirrors! We were on the second floor and had a small flight of stairs to climb. We had a balcony, but no chairs on it. The lounge looked nice, it was always loud and full late into the night. This was a busy time for the hotel, but the noise in the hallways was very disruptive into the late hours of the night. Drunken people yelling, kids running up and down them, and slamming doors woke us up all 3 nights we stayed here. Starbucks options in the lobby was nice, but expensive. $6.29 for a grande coffee. Would come back to bring the kids to the waterpark and for the location to malls, but not for another adult trip.

Breakfast is relatively simple, but it can also be eaten well, and the category is fairly complete, which can ensure a balanced diet. Hotel facilities are also very new and the environment is quiet. Shopping around is very convenient, there are many shops and a Wal-Mart supermarket. Hotel parking is free. Although it is called an airport hotel, there is still a little distance from it.

Want to share my experience at this hotel: I originally booked a room through Expedia. My reservation was for 3 days and I paid online . When we arrived at the hotel they couldn’t find my booking and I started to panic. The lady ay the front desk made me feel better when she told me not to worry that she was going to reach out the them and she was going to figure out what happened . She has to call couple of times as they hung up the phone . Finally she checked us in and gave us an upgrade due to All the confusion . The room was big and comfortable. All the employees were great to us . They went the extra mile to accommodate us . I appreciate all you guys did .

We immensely enjoyed our stay at the newly renovated Andover Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed as royal guests by the Inn’s attentive staff and manager extraordinaire Brian. Thanks to Brian’s impromptu American history talk, we learned about the notable guests who visited the Inn and the illustrious history of Phillips Andover Academy. Brian also made our visit most memorable by suggesting we visit the nearby Addison Gallery. Highly recommend, the superbly managed Andover Inn.

I had a very wonderful experience at the Hampton inn in Haverhill. The atmosphere is so relaxed, and it's very clean, and the service was just outstanding! I am both deaf and have difficulty with my legs, and everybody was so helpful to me. It was wonderful to take a bath in the handicapped accessible bathtub! I haven't been able to take a real bath in years! I will be sure to bring my bath salts the next time around, LOL! And the breakfast was to die for, waffles, omelets, fresh fruit, and the coffee was perfect. I have never had a bad experience at a Hampton inn, but this was an exceptional stay. I just became a Hilton rewards client, and I plan to be staying at Hampton inns a lot in the next year as I travel. Thank you so much for the service you provided.

QQIONGThere is no dinner in the hotel. This seems to be a common problem in hotels like the United States. I had to buy a few boxes of American-made instant noodles from the canteen in the lobby. Although the taste is far worse than the Chinese instant noodles, it is not sweet and can be eaten.

GGuest UserMy husband, mom and I selected this hotel for two reasons. 1) It was a suite at a good price with nice separation of space. 2) It was 30 minutes away from Berklee College of Music by car, given traffic, every day at every time of the day. lol. The photos on the website are very accurate. NEGATIVES: The only negative comments I have is of the flooring in our penthouse room, 1024. The rugs were old, not very clean and had a faint odor because of it. I made sure to wear slippers. I'm a hotel snob, so the rugs bugged me the whole trip. The floor boards squeaked when the person sleeping in the loft walked around and there were a couple areas on the ceilings that had chipped plaster. Due likely to age and an old water leak that went unrepaired. OPINION OF SUITE: The suite has the feel of a condo, with great allocation of space and a fireplace. The sofa was large, stain free and a pull-out. Each bedroom space had a king size bed and television. The living room also had a T.V. The full kitchen was very clean. The bathrooms were very clean. The mattresses and linen were very clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds were very quite and parking was very close to every bldg. no matter where you parked. THE STAFF: I cannot speak highly enough of the staff! Their excellent service and pleasant demeanor prompted me to write this review! They make this place wonderful to stay at from the moment you walk in! Rosemary had our room keys waiting for us because we were a 7 am check-in. The night staff made sure they auto checked us in at midnight the evening before as they promised they would do. Stacy greeted us happily as she was entering the bldg. at 8 am. I thought, boy, the lady sure is nice and discovered later that she worked there. Justine, also at the front desk made chocolate chip cookies every night for guest to grab, and didn't make me feel guilty for taking more than one. THE FREE BREAKFAST: The breakfast staff were awesome as well! They were very friendly and made turkey sausage for my husband every morning because of his major allergy to pork. The food and dining areas stayed spotless, even with several guests bustling in and out. There was a different selection of hot breakfast sandwiches, eggs, potatoes, waffles and oatmeal with all the fixings daily. Bottled water, juices, yogurt and fruit stayed stocked. The coffee stayed hot and available 24 hours a day. AMENITIES: The laundry room is $2 a wash/dry. The fitness room is small but very clean with nice newer equipment and hand weights. NEARBY; Costco is literally within walking distance across from the parking lot, as well as a TGIF restaurant, which also provided great service, good food and stayed open until 1 am! There is a 3rd restaurant in the parking lot as well. We didn't eat there. This hotel is out and away with an industrial feel to it, and right off the highway. Buildings 10 and 11 face the Hwy. We stayed in Bldg. 10, and although we heard the cars it wasn't nerve wrecking.

GGuest UserWe just got back from taking our kids on a couple nights away trip and I must say the rooms are Clean and the AC worked very well . Grab and Go Breakfast was decent and everyone found something. Lots of Games Outside and pool is small but kids didn't mind . Staff was always helpful. I had to go down to front desk and purchase a couple of things and while I was waiting my turn this woman was screaming at the girl behind the counter it was awful to witness this type of behavior but she was very rude even outside with other guest . After the crazy lady Ieft I spoke to the young Lady working and told her she was extremely professional and should not have been treated that way . She thanked me and helped me with whatever I needed the entire stay . Rebecca this Company is so lucky to have you . You were so Helpful with not only my family but with any Guest that needed something. When Rebecca's shift was over another young lady Shirley came on and she again was Helpful , always greeted us with a smile. Bravo sonesta you have quite the Staff . Thank you Girls so much for making our trip Amazing . We will be back soon !

GGuest UserWe were only staying one night so this is the type of hotel we like. Plus, being Marriott Bonvoy members, we were given a room on a high floor away from the elevator. Yay. Check-in was seamless. We were in our suite style room in minutes. I like the expanded space this hotel offers with a desk/kitchenette area separate from the sleeping area. Our room looked out over the wooded area at the back of the hotel but given this hotel's location at the end of the road, I don't think there would be much noise either way. The breakfast area was a little crowded by the way the food is set up in an alcove. But nothing that can't be overcome with a little patience. They offered the standard far of scrambled eggs, sausage patties and waffles. Given our limited time, this was the perfect stop. Would be happy to return.

GGuest UserThe Hotel Salem is in the downtown, dozens of shops and dining options practically out the door (or in the hotel - check out The Roof or The Counter depending on weather/season). Incredible staff all around. Most of my days were walking in one direction, checking out local spots, then stopping back at the hotel for a quick respite before heading back out.

Location is tricky because you learn from listening to Directions that you must drive through a plaza and pass a Planet Fitness, then take a right turn. Some signage to Property would be helpful.
Otherwise, I had a great stay, and will go again.

GGuest UserEverthing was good except for the dogs barking next door. When I booked I missed that it was a pet friendly hotel my mistake.... Besides that the place is clean and I would recommend it to anyone that is pet friendly.
