Motel 6 Eureka, CA – Redwood Coast

Not bad for the price. WiFi is terrible and no soap or shampoo in the room. I would not recommend.

We were so disappointed. Since my friend has a bad knee, etc, we had asked in advance for a ground floor room. What we got was a second floor room with a long set of steps. They said that the firemen that were there took precedent. I’m all for our first responders, God bless them, but honestly, I think those younger, stronger firefighters could have climbed those steps much easier than two little old ladies in their 70s!

A shout out to Pedro at Hotel 6. Thank you Pedro for taking the time to mail me the IPad I left behind. The WiFi at Hotel 6 needs an upgrade. It’s definitely not a reset the modem it’s capital. But that’s not a staffing issue.

A fair enough motel 6. Not a particularly nice outdoor area, with containers and work cars/trucks taking up most of the parking area. The outdoor area appears more like an industrial area than a pleasant place to spend the night (at least that was my impression when I was there in the middle of September 23). The location is decent enough in relation to HWY 101, but the neighborhood and the backyard of this M6, did not appear particularly pleasant. There is probably also a waste facility nearby. Suggestions for improvement: try to make the outdoor area and the parking area a little nicer, and try to find another solution when it comes to work cars/trucks, e.g. in that these park in a separate area and do not occupy all the spaces that should have been reserved for ordinary travelers/visitors.

Friendly staff, woke up updated facility. Nice clean up-to-date rooms.

Nicely remodeled with new beds.

I got a non-smoking room becuase I'm Asthmatic . Everytime I turned my heating or Ac unit on, tabacco and THC smoke would come through the Hvac. Not to mention the doors are not properly sealed this allowed smoke to come through the door. It was not an enjoyable stay, plus they kept my deposit and charged it to my card two days after I checked out. I expect a return.
