Very nice hotel as a total, a little bit far from the city. The extra cost to use the gym was not clear at the flyer and 5 EUR per hour to rent a bike is too expensive.

I read some reviews about the hotel that made me worried about my stay. I didn't feel anything negative about the hotel that I read during my stay. The room was clean, the service was impeccable. Breakfast with lots of variety and quality. The indoor pool with hot water, the jacuzzi in full operation. In terms of location, it is 5 minutes from the center. It was a pleasant stay. I will repeat if I go back there.

The hotel is located in a rural area not far from the center of Evora. It is large and nice, with plenty of free parking spaces. There are also many tourists staying here. It is very pleasant to listen to the chirping of birds in the morning. The breakfast is rich and delicious.

Unfortunately, the reservation I made did not correspond to the reservation the hotel had. My reservation was made for 2 adults and 1 child and, in the hotel, there was only a reservation for 1 adult. The hotel resolved the situation, but the room we were offered did not fully correspond to the service booked and paid for in advance. It was very unpleasant and regrettable. /// Unfortunately, the reservation I made did not correspond to the reservation the hotel had. The 2nd night the room was fine. The hotel is just outside Evora and has ample parking.
Some staff may still receive training on how things should work in the hotel.
But the girl who had to clean the rooms was great.

16h00, 33 degrees, almost 60 people on the pool and pool bar closed. Lobby bar with one table occupation and 5 employees bartenders behind the bar. We all quickly guess that one or two could easily be at pool bar. Some improvements could really be considered with service provider!

The hotel is located just outside the center in a quiet location. Although there were many guests, little was heard in the rooms. The breakfast buffet was varied and identical every day. We received friendly service throughout our stay. The spa and wellness area is separate, but extensive.

First the good. Most of the staff are very nice. The bar and restaurant area are pleasant and so is the pool area. Water pressure in the shower is good. However, this is not up to 4 star standards. The rooms are dated. The doors don't fit properly and there are gaps. It is the first time I have seen a shower curtain over a bath in an hotel in many years. The TV is a very small free standing TV. There is a terrace but it only has one chair. On our second day after housekeeping had been we were faced with stained bath towels, we took them back to the housekeeping room but there was noone there so we swapped them with unstained ones. Certainly not acceptable in any class of hotel. The restaurant is nice and the food is good, but only buffet. Breakfast is extremely noisy because the hotel caters to coach parties and conferences. The breakfast food is nothing great but ok. The pool area is nice but although there is a member of staff in the pool bar area you have to get dry and dressed to go into the hotel to get food and drinks, not really great for a supposed 4 star hotel. The pool also was full of flying ants,/mosquitos on the first day, although there were a few less on the second day.

I am very disappointed. This hotel is not designed for couples and families but for mass tourist transit, and it is not all clean or welcoming. Our first night had five busloads of tourists, and everything was designed for quantity rather than quality. The coffee at breakfast could be better, a very bottom-range robusta bean. I had to order a pay-for coffee from the bar, which was only marginally better as I could not stand the bitterness of the breakfast coffee. The buffet breakfast is unappetising, the pancakes dry, the butter still frozen, little choice, etc. As for the rooms. There is no hot water jug nor spoon for me to prepare my carioca de lemaõ, which I drink for my health. Only water bottles were available at a hefty price. The beds were made the Asian way: no upper sheet, just a very thin duvet with a cover and while it is acceptable to some, it was a novelty to me. There were hygiene issues; the dispensers of hand sanitiser were all empty. The sauna and indoor pool shower areas stank of urine. (the hotel reception told us it was probably a faulty canalisation… but the toilets are a floor below the sauna, and maintenance should have closed the area for repairs!!!) The jacuzzi had vert de gris algae growth over its vents, people were wearing outdoor shoes around the indoor pool area, judging from looking at the dirt on the ground tiles, and no one supervised guests for safety or hygiene. It was so dirty. After that, I did not enter the pool for fear of catching something. It was a very frustrating experience, considering I chose to stay in that hotel for its indoor pool and sauna. Having worked and stayed in hotels worldwide, I thought I knew well what quality standard to expect from a 4-star hotel!!!!! I am fast revising my beliefs and expectations downward, as far as Evora Hotel is concerned!!!

Very clean room. Great location and room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was a smorgasbord - so many selections and so good (the coffee machine made wonderful cappuccinos!). Staff was helpful, kind, and courteous. Gym is great but we weren't told when we booked the room that the gym was an additional fee of €5 per person per day, and if you wanted a towel, it was an additional €1. Additionally, the air conditioning never got very cool, and the comfort level of the bed was mediocre. Mattress wasn't very comfortable, and since there was no top sheet, you had to use the blanket, which was too warm with the AC not working well.
Response from Property: Dear Guest 03080YHdonnaf Thank you for your stay and comments. We will look into the mattress issue looking forward to seeing you again. Yours Sincerely Miguel de Melo Breyner

This hotel has been rated four stars, and while the facilities match that rating, the rooms fall short with a two-star quality - they do not live up to the heavily photoshopped images displayed on ***********; instead, guests can expect worn-out carpets, linens, and small televisions. The bathtub is also heavily worn. Additionally, the central AC is shut down during sleeping hours, which can be problematic during very hot or cold nights. The breakfast selection is limited. However, the hotel is located near the center, and the area is safe with free parking available. The lobby is beautiful, and the hotel is kid-friendly, boasting a superb outdoor pool. While not as terrible as some other reviews suggest, it still isn't worth the amount of money being charged.
