Today is Bobby's birthday, so we decided to book a table for breakfast at the crown in Benson. katie served us, she was so lovely, polite , friendly and helpful. In our honest opinion , the breakfast was seriously the best cooked breakfast we have ever had! It was amazing! Lovely and hot, certainly not greasy, extremely tasty, full of flavour, superb quality produce. Best sausage ever! The mushroom was wow! My partner and I had a lovely stay at The George. Lovely dinner - good range on the menu including lots of alcohol free drink options. The bed was really comfortable and it was a lovely cozy room with great amenities.
Lovely location - Dorchester is beautiful! We loved the community farm just up the road with a lovely cafe and alpacas among others. Lovely countryside surrounding Dorchester and lovely cycle route to Oxford on the NCR5.
Thanks George Hotel for a lovely stay!

For the circa £48 I paid the hotel was more than a good enough place for me to get my head down brilliant location straight off the motorway, staff were very friendly and probably the easiest and fastest check in I have done.
The room I stayed in I would assume is due a refresh as it was all slightly dated or very similar to a dated travel lodge.
Everything was there that I needed.
I would happily stay there again as the location was perfect for me

I feel this hotel is overpriced, one night cost me £220. I had seen other reviews saying they had not heard noise from asda but we found it was very loud. Deliveries all night which resulted in a lot of noise and very little sleep. There was no receptionist upon arrival and so check in took 15 minutes. A doorbell or way of reaching the receptionist is needed. The hotel is tired looking, such as random holes in the ceiling or mould in the bathroom but the room was mostly clean. Overall it was not worth the large price tag.

The room and service are very good. The only downside is that the hotel does not have a parking lot. You need to park at the opposite train station and walk back.

Nice room. There is a pool and gym. If you are driving, you can email hotel with car plate to reserve a car park. 4 EV charging parking space is available. Tricky to find the car park though, so entrance on Station Rd.
Shopping area across the street. Find the Picnic cafe, they bakery and coffee is great.

Incredibly disappointed with my stay. Room was hot and smelt very strongly of Indian takeaway on arrival. Bedding had blood on it. Bedhead in poor repair. Bathroom door did not close. Outer window was impossible to close due to the position of the television set and the inner window frame. Shower clearly cleaned but smelt very musty. Room 205 is next door to the linen room. Staff used this room loudly after midnight at 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. talking, banging the door repeatedly, and shaking sheets out. This woke me up multiple times, and I did not sleep well. There were no hairdryers available, I had to go out and buy one. The lift did not work. My card to enter the building stopped working during my stay and needed changing, which was another inconvenience. None of this is the fault of the staff who were very pleasant. Perfect location with cafes and shops nearby, just a shame that the place isn't well maintained. There's bog standard and then there's this.

Good location, five minutes walk from Reading Railway Station. The entrance is a street garden. Opposite is the office building. The room was on the back floor and looked like a new one, but it didn't taste much. The room is large, the bathroom is large, and it is very comfortable. Breakfast is not bad, there are not many options, but it tastes good. There is a parking lot.
