Towards the end of our 3-week-trip we had one night at the Comfort Inn Cordelia in Fairfield. As it was just a stopover we tried to find a mixture of ”not too expensive” and ”not too shabby”. And from my opinion we did pretty good! Coming from Lake Tahoe and heading towards San Francisco this was quite a good spot in regard to the distances we had to drive. We arrived on a late afternoon, found a parking space directly under a tree (it was quite hot that day) and went to the reception. We had to wait for a couple of minutes but then were checked in a friendly and professional way. Our room was on one of the upper floors and unfortunately literally the last room in the hotel when it comes to distances... Not a problem, but at some point we thought we had missed the room. The room itself was big, clean and had a quite modern style - compared to other roadtrip hotels and motels you might have seen. The WiFi was ok and free of charge. They also have an outdoor pool but I can't tell if it is heated or not. But as we only have stayed for one night I can't make a big story out of it. If we're in the area the next time we'll definitely consider this hotel again.

This hotel is very run-down and in need of a major re-fresh and change in management. The cabinets in the kitchen an bathroom are falling apart and do not look properly cleaned. When I checked in there was a lot of brown sugar in the cabinet above the vent hood. Half the light bulbs in the bathroom were burned out. All of the glass was streaky and dirty. There is a lot of paint pealing off the bathroom ceiling. The paint and drywall repairs are poorly completed with the wrong color and sheen paint. The door would get stuck open because the laminate flooring was buckling. In the living room the laughably small flatscreen tv is on a small writing desk and I can see all the cables for the tv all tangled under the desk. All of these things show a lack of motivation and no attention to detail.

We were on the way traveling to Reno, Nevada from San Mateo and stay at Fairfield’s Vacaville for one night to take rest so that the whole car ride would be too long and exhausted. We checked in at around 8pm and reception staff was efficient and helpful. The room was very clean and up-to-dated renovated. We did not swim at the heated indoor swimming pool. Breakfast was at normal standard, coffee was good. I would stay there again!

Gotcha! In an age where customer service and hospitality seems to be in rather short supply, nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to the front desk staff at the HIE&S in Vacaville. From the moment we walked in until we checked out, Gina, Caleb, & Wynette (sorry if I butchered the spelling) were outstandingly friendly, engaging, and accommodating. These folks could be contracted out to teach/coach at other hospitality businesses and they're a credit to the hotel and the brand. The room, breakfast, etc. were pretty much what you would expect from the chain but they do have a very nice patio area, just outside the indoor pool area, with fire tables to enjoy the evening happy hour refreshments and snacks. The place wasn't too busy when we were there, or people took their drinks and snacks to their rooms, so we felt like we had our own private space to enjoy the late afternoon/early evening. We had no particular plans to get anywhere (nowhere to go and all day to get there) and added an extra night to our stay in large part due to the friendliness of the staff. Have I said they were awesome?

The room is clean, the facilities are new, the front desk is friendly, and you can eat freshly made omelets for breakfast. You don't need to show your room card for breakfast. Although it ends at 9 o'clock, it is actually almost 10 o'clock. It is extended to 10 o'clock on weekends, which is very user-friendly. 24-hour coffee, a large TV, a welcome message with the guest's name, and good details. The bedding and towels look very clean, and the paper rolls are also sufficient. The hotel is very quiet inside and outside, and there is no noise in the morning.
The disadvantages are that the room cleaning is very uncertain. The front desk said that the room cleaning will be cleaned only if requested. When I stayed there, I didn't request cleaning one day, and I didn't clean it one day. Second, the air conditioner is still a bit loud. I found that this is a problem in most hotels. When it starts, it sounds like the sound of an airplane taking off.

We stayed here once we realized how cost prohibitive it was going to be to stay in Napa proper. Save your $ and stay here and drive to Napa. It really isn't that far at all. Friendly and professional check-in. We got an upgrade since it was our anniversary. Big shout out. Thank you. The room was big, clean and modern. Quite and safe. Free, fast wifi. Free onsite parking. What more can you ask? Price was fair. Many amenities nearby. Starbucks. 7-11 & Walmart. Recommended.

GGuest UserThis was my very first time at this hotel and to my surprise I was treated very rudely. upon arrival Pearl kept telling me that my reservation couldn't be granted because I was not an Elite member even though I have already paid and had a text message saying my room was ready. She also asked me how many breakfast did I need and I let her know one is on the reservation so 1 would be fine clearly a question that did not need to be asked because it was buffet style. she was very judging of me and made me feel very uncomfortable I don't think I would ever get a room at this hotel again. I was here simply for a birthday getaway and she made the check-in horrible and very difficult. She told me that the hotel did not do early check-in and that there were no more rooms on the fourth floor which I had previously reserved days ago. After coming downstairs explaining that I was in a room with less amenities and on second floor, different than I reserved she act like I was doing something wrong and being rude where I felt to apologize to her when she actually should have been apologizing to me. Pearl gave me eye rolling as though she had an attitude for a reason I do not know. She kept repeating herself saying that check-in was at 3 p.m. but I reserved early check-in and was notified that the room was ready. She went into the computer and told me that she had to move a guy named Peter and put me there and kept hushing up the other receptionist as though no one should know that I was going to the 4th floor. She made like she was doing me a favor and that I wasn't supposed to be there. She made a lot of commentary during the check in that was very rude comments. When I finally checked into the room on the fourth floor it was exactly the room that I had reserved for my birthday for some reason she wanted to give it to someone else and gave me a bunch of grief of over it

GGuest UserThe manager was very friendly. The hotel was conveniently located near the freeway, restaurants, and gas station. The beds/pillows were super comfy! Unfortunately due to shortages we were unable to eat breakfast at the restaurant.

GGuest UserCouldn’t ask for a better hotel stop. We travel for business with an RV and this hotel was very reasonably priced, especially for California. There was easy well-lit parking and the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The property was very well-kept with beautiful landscaping and foliage. Clean and up-to-date room, good breakfast, and dog-friendly. We’ll definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserFront desk guy is amazing the guy in general other employees are okay the new girls amazing she's trying so hard which I appreciate from this guy will definitely need your needs only thing I don't like is that their prices when you walk in and not the same as the online prices which means that you would want to book if you are a member the rooms are very clean definitely not like the motel 6 up the street which I will never go to again other than that the hotel is amazing make sure if you're paying cash though you have the $200 deposit which I don't understand why if you're paying with the card they need $100 deposit on top of that why can't they just put your card on file like anywhere else but I love it there
