Been two years since last at this hotel and back then it was a certified dump that should have been closed down by the health department. It appears that the new management is trying to make it succeed, but there is a long way to go. The rooms are cleaner than before. Now for the bad: bathroom fixtures in the shower ready to come off the wall; no room service on a multiple day stay - beds not made-up and dirty towels not removed and replaced, amenities not replaced; Exit Door B locked and blocked - hint...this is a fire hazard; breakfast was meager, the eggs were cold and the tatter-tots undercooked. If not for the bagel (no jelly) the breakfast would be a joke; finally the front entrance reeked of spices and cooking - somewhere other than the former kitchen or restaurant. Frankly with so few guests staying there I wonder how they can afford to pay the electricity bill, let alone the taxes. Options across the street include a new La Quinta and a new Fairfield Inn. Think I'll give them a try on my next trip to New Cumberland. Sorry Clarion but your time to close (or remodel from top to bottom) has finally come!

Stayed for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). A little worried when we pulled in late Friday afternoon, as there was only a few cars in the parking lot, and this place looked huge. As we started the check-in process, I asked if the pool was open. Response: No. I had booked this room 4-5 weeks prior and had called about the pool as the website listed it as closed. The lady on the phone at the time said it should be open in a week or two. I told the front desk people the indoor pool was a HUGE reason I booked this place in the first place (traveling with kids). They asked if I still wanted to check in. Reluctantly, I did, not wanting to try to find another place after traveling all day. All checked in, I asked for a luggage cart. Clerk pointed to this very small, almost triangle shaped "cart" that was about as big as 2 dollys. It held our heaviest stuff, we carried the rest. After taking the elevator up to the 2nd floor, we trekked down 4 long halls to our room (the place is basically one big square, with only 1 elevator that is outside basically room 201). Our room was at the far end of the 4th hall, room 285. The last hall ended with a staircase and no access joining the first and fourth hallways. I carried the "dolly" back down the stairs to avoid the incredibly long journey back through the hallways. And the hallways were warm and somewhat musty smelling. Talked with 2 groups of people near the lobby shortly after that, they had rooms without A/C and were waiting on new rooms. Two other groups of people that were also there in town for the graduation we came for also complained of warm rooms. One was offered a fan by the staff, only to then be told they were out. That room went and bought a fan themselves. My room was cool-ish, but the thermostat was set on 74 degrees. We turned it down and left for the evening, hoping it would be cooler when we returned. It was not. There was only a slight trickle of semi-cool air coming out of the vent. Luckily I had brought a fan and sleeping was doable. The room was clean and the sheets/pillow cases were bright white. As usual, we checked the beds for bedbugs, and none were found. Parking around the side of building to be close to our room, I noticed 2 large barrels (20 gallon?) near the side door, full of and overflowing what appeared to be discarded kitchen grease. Looking at the hotel from the side parking lot, you could see a couple of rooms with the curtains open and mattresses leaning up on the window from the inside. Breakfast was ok-ish, sausage, eggs, waffles, juice, and a couple bread choices. Overall, NOTHING like the pictures showed. I will definitely NOT be staying here again.

I don’t usually do reviews. But I HAD to this time. This hotel was on a tournament “stay here” list. So far, everyone from said tournament, from many different states will be calling the directions of said tourney and urging them to drop this hotel from the list. Its straight up false advertising. They beautiful pool? “Closed for maintenance…” indefinitely!? Did they put that on their webpage?? NOPE. STILL boasts a beautiful pool. Lobby? Gorgeous. Turn the corner to the rooms and it’s like the twilight zone. Carpet is nasty, stains everywhere, including chairs in the hallway. Vending machines “sold out”. Paint peeling. Dirty. Dingy. Smells moldy and awful. AC in rooms doesn’t work. Toilets hardly flush… it’s AWFUL. NOT worth the money you save. Most people checked out to find other places to stay. It’s that bad. Save yourself the Trouble. Don’t stay here!

Telephone number just rings & rings!!! I have tried multiple times each day & even emailed to GM & Sales addresses but didn’t receive anything back. How do they conduct business without a functioning phone service? Anyone else have this problem?

I consider myself to be fair when I do reviews at the hotels my family and I visit. I don’t complain about pillows not being fluffy enough or just petty things. What I do complain is about the cleanliness and maintenance of hotel and room. This hotel was a last min option that I was hoping would meet all our needs, boy was I wrong. Customer service was smooth, but as soon as we entered our room, it was a different story. The hotel itself need maintenance, the rugs are dirty, the door of the rooms need painting. Once inside we noticed the curtains were broken and ripped, there was a whole on the bathroom ceiling. My husband had to put a towel to cover the hole in case there was a peeping Tom. There were spider webs in the hall ways and garbage bins were always full. I would definitely not be staying or recommending this hotel to anyone.

How awful is this hotel, let me count the ways 1. Stayed one night in July and the air conditioning was broken 2. The room was old and shabby wit no bathroom space for toiletries 3. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely tasteless 4. The front desk was completely unhelpful and lied saying the air conditioning was fixed and would take a few hours to cool off. It was oppressively got the entire night into morning

This hotel is run down! Exterior doors do not work or do not lock. There is broken glass in the doors, bugs/cobwebs in the stairwells, the same wrapper was in the hallway both days we were here, stained ceiling tiles, a rodent poison box INSIDE of the hotel, broken ceramic tiles, stained carpets, pool doesn’t work, a/c doesn’t work-I could keep going. MURPHY the manager does not care and does not want to here what doesn’t work either.
