In the area to pick up work supplies and visit a friend! The pool was awesome. All staff were helpful and friendly. Very nice!

I think the staff do a great job with what they’ve got - very nice, rooms are clean etc. unfortunately they are working with some structural deficiencies. The hotel is right next to a highway which is manageable, but they have very old single pane Windows that act more like speakers than barriers. A good set of double pane Windows with a gap could stop the noise, but as is you spend the night listening to the big rig breakers grunting. The shower head is weird - it has two settings. Setting one attempts to spray water wide enough to hit California from PA, but no water for you - the human standing there. Setting two somehow gets none of the amazing pressure setting one has, and dribbles water down in the middle - the water comes out of the head and drops straight down like a rock - you can therefore huddle up close under the shower head to gain the blessing of its lukewarm offerings. The pillows come in three options - napkin thin, thick hard Boulder, or fantastic - with four family members it was unfortunately the case that only one was of the “fantastic” variety and quickly stolen by our five year old girl. Nice folks, just not my thing.

I chose this hotel because it was CHEAP, close to Harrisburg International Airport, and reviews here & on competitor’s websites were largely positive. Let me start by saying the gentleman who checked me in was friendly & efficient and wished me a good stay. The hotel is quite antiquated & I believe it MAY be populated by a transient population. I personally experienced no problems with this, but the immediate hotel grounds are sketchy looking. This hotel is a retro hotel and pretty dilapidated. The window blinds had cracks in them, no deadbolt on the door (flimsy chain lock only), old looking bedspreads and curtains, paper thin/dingy looking towels, cracks around the tub/shower tiles. Lightfixtures from the 60's. The floors were some kind of wood laminate or lacquered plywood that felt somewhat sticky to my bare feet. On the plus side, they do have the room well equipped with a coffee maker, small fridge, small toothpaste AND 2 toothbrushes, soap/shampoo, an iron/ironing board, big widescreen TV and cable, modern charging station adjacent to the bed, and the heat worked well. The bed was ok, the pillows were poor. (I pulled the bedspread off the bed - while it might have been clean it was just too retro/old looking for me to trust it’s cleanliness). I did not use the shower or any facilities other than the tv. I slept ok because I was exhausted. It is obvious that the cleaning staff does a decent job of keeping the room as clean as possible, given the quality level of the hotel/room. I will say it was quiet here overnight, and the area surrounding the hotel is not ”sketchy” as there is really nothing much around! It would be very hard to find at night without GPS. If you are looking for a very inexpensive hotel in the area & have no need for the safety/amenities provided by most chain hotels, you may like the place. They seem to be trying to provide good value at a low price.

We came to Pennsylvania to enjoy the weekend. Booked a room at a nearby hotel and wasn't pleased. So I immediately started to do whatever I could to stay at this hotel once I saw it. And they did what they could to ensure I was able to get a room for my family and ensured we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It turned the whole trip around for us. My family was pleased. And we shall return
