Lovely hotel with very good restaurant, whisky bar and library retreat. Breakfast is very poor and small issues subtract in the room. Ideal placed for visiting Kalmar and Öland. Very dog friendly.

Väldig fin och mycket rent och välplanerat hotell. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal, mycket gott mat med den bästa service på restaurangen. Jag och min fru var mycket nöjda och kan garanterar att det kommer inte att vara sista gång på skansen.

The room and spa was fine. A bit on the pricy side for what you get, but overall not bad.
What ruined the entire weekend was the food.
Waiting an hour for a tiny portion with absolutely zero spices is not okay. When we complained they offered us a free dessert, so service staff was good at least, but the food was horrible.
This went full circle at breakfast when the scrambled eggs didn’t even have salt on them.
Tip for anyone going there is to eat somewhere else. Anywhere else.
Will not go there again.
