Hotels near Chaoyang Palace, Fenghuang

The balcony with a great view of the middle section of Tuojiang River. During the day, you can sit on the balcony and drink tea, and watch people coming and going in a daze; at night, you can enjoy the lights and listen to music. Although it is noisy, isn't that what life is like! The lights are turned on at 6:30, and it is quiet at 11:50. The proprietress is a happy person. When she calls, she hears her laughter first and then her voice. She sent a car to the high-speed rail station to pick us up. She was afraid that we couldn't find it, so she waited for us in the parking lot early. Before leaving, she also prepared ginger candy as a gift. I really love this homestay. I was a little rushed this time. I have the opportunity to stay for a few more days next time. It's perfect for daze!

The location is right by the bridge. Owner is friendly and sent a driver to to pick us up from railway station. He also carried our luggages to the homestay and up to the room. We booked the suite room and the balcony there is shared - pls note it is 2 rooms side by side with 2 separate entrances and 1 shared balcony. The view is great- being right by the iconic bridge. But come evening - it will be a nightmare for those who do not like bar music and heavy bass. The floorboards vibrate with the heavy base late into the night and stops at 1130pm. The location by the river with many mosquitoes is unavoidable. However our stay was marred by a serious security breach when the counter lady supposedly allowed other tourists to view our other room with 2 single beds and access to the shared balcony and then allowing them to book and stay in our room that we paid for. We were terribly shocked to see the swing in our room moving when we walked by to the homestay- that’s when we realise there were strangers in our room. The other tourists were rude and obnoxious demanding that we moved instead when we clearly booked and stayed in the room first. Even though the homestay owner settled the issue and was very apologetic. However, we find it very hard to believe that the counter lady does not know that the room was part of the suite room as there is only 1 suite in the entire homestay. Just because we booked a 2 bedder for the view, and had only 2 persons does not mean they can rent out the other room without our permission and allow others into our room that held our personal belongings. Unfortunately despite the warmness of the owner, we are unable to recommend this accommodation to others. Also, the homestay is unman in the night , and the room door is not able to lock (only have electronic lock) which makes us feel even more unsafe.

Room view is amazing with Fenghuang ancient city view. You can simply stay here and watch the city without heading out. It's a small hotel but cosy. The balcony room is the best choice with a swing and settee area to chill by the river. Owner is helpful too. The only complain we had was the toilet seat cover had stains and is small which is not a big issue at all since they provide seat covers. Tips: walk out of ancient city to eat for half the price

1. This hotel located in Fenghuang Ancient Town near on riverside. I can see river throught windows of my room. Near to all attraction points. There are a lot of nearby restaurants. 2. Decoration is modern and the room is very convenient. 3. Owner is very nice and helpful. He provided calling taxi to drop me at Fenghuanggucheng Tain Station for free after check out.

We had a big room with a very big bed. The bathroom was big with a self-flushing toilet and toilet seat warmer! One wall of the room was just glass so we had a good view out, over some old roofs and windows, and a far view of lovely builidings on a hill. We had a long and narrow balcony with a view of the river, pagoda and bridges. Right below was the bustling street scene near the Hong Qiaio (Rainbow Bridge). The balcony has a couple of hanging bubble seats and even a small table and chairs. Just perfect for viewing the amazing night scenery and people-watch. (Based on an earlier review, we knew the noise stopped at 11.30pm so we had good nights' sleep). We were very comfortable and happy with our room. It was just a short walk from the shops outside the Ancient Town, so we could enjoy both sides of Feng Huang. The entrance to the hostel is hidden behind a costume rental shop, so it's a little tricky to find. The hostel also has a water dispenser for filling up water bottles. All I can say is the location is just the best for watching the comings and goings in the streets, with easy access for walking along the riverside, pagoda, bridges, viewing the performances on the river...yet near enough to pop into our comfy room to recharge.

Cozy clean room with nice view. Near Feng Bridge, Octagon Tower. 12mins walk from QiFeng Square Bus Terminal. Just right beside if the river so that the view is so great. Room is clean with amenities like mugs and disposable slippers, tooth brush, comb and even shaver. Receptionist was so friendly and helpful. Provided town map for me and suggested the places to visit. Free postal card as well. Night time opposite has bar and live band. A but noisy but the view in the midnight still very pretty. Morning view is nice too while still not much tourists. The balcony is really comfortable to stay. Listening the river flow, drink a cup of tea or coffee and just relax at the balcony. Worth to stay as I get tired of city life.

The hotel is close to the Fog bridge in the Fenghuang ancient city. My room has the river view and two balconies, which is excellent for night view of the city. The room is spacious enough for four adults, but needs to share for one bathroom. The breakfast buffet only offered a simple Chinese breakfast with limited varieties. The hotel room was quiet at night time. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. The restaurant was excellent and offered authentic Hunan style food. Overall, this hotel experience was excellent.

If you're looking for a dreamy stay in Fenghuang Ancient Town, this is the place!✨ We met the super friendly staff at ”Foggy Bridge,” and they helped us get to the hotel smoothly with all our luggage. Such a warm welcome😊 ⠀ They recommended a local restaurant where we tried the spicy fish soup🍲 – the flavors were unforgettable! Perfect to share with your partner❤️ ⠀ The next morning, we enjoyed a refreshing outdoor bath🛁 surrounded by nature, followed by a stunning night view of the city🌃. The scenery was magical, especially for a romantic getaway✨ ⠀ When we left, they even gave us sweet local candies🍬 as a farewell gift. Such a sweet touch to end our stay! ⠀ If you're heading to Fenghuang and want to make lasting memories, Anzhidinglan B&B is the spot! Highly recommended for lovebirds💕

We had a great stay at the hotel. We were super impressed by the enthusiasm of the staffs’ willingness to serve ! A big shout out to the manager Yen Zi (管家燕子）! Hotel was new and the decor was of zen style with soothing colors . The non smoking room we stayed was spacious with fantastic River view. The bed was comfortable and the hairdryer provided was of a famous brand. We truly enjoyed the breakfast! Wide selection of local dishes and the coffee was from coffee machine with fresh beans, a rare find in locally run hotel in China. The hotel also provided shuttle service to Hong Qiau where the busiest streets of the Old Town were located! We felt like VIPs being chauffeured around ! All in all it was a stay that exceeded our expectation. I highly recommend this hotel and I’ll definitely like to come back again!

Excellent!! Probably the best stay during our trip to China! The hosts are very sweet and helpful. The room was clean, tidy with a beautiful view. It’s located 15 minutes away from the very touristic area but there are still a lot of restaurants around! The owners of the hotel suggested two restaurants close by that served delicious food (see pictures). The owner helped us call a taxi back to the train station which costed 40rmb. Highly highly recommended!!! 😍
