My mother and aunt went on a trip and specially chose a lake view room! I contacted the hotel before checking in, and the housekeeper Lily was very considerate! She helped to book a car, a show, and recommended my younger sister to take me to the ancient city. I didn't need to worry about the elderly's itinerary at all!
Because both of us are older and it's easy to sleep poorly in a big bed room, the housekeeper was very nice and upgraded the room type!
The old sisters 👭 had a lot of fun🥳 The night view photos are actually very beautiful, but they didn't send them to me... In short, I am satisfied👍

This must be praised! This hotel is beyond expectation in both hardware and software. All the waiters are considerate and meticulous. They are obviously specially trained, which reflects the high management level of the hotel. In addition, the hotel is in a good location, by the Tuojiang River between Yunqiao and Wuqiao. You can choose to stroll freely or take the hotel's free shuttle to Hongqiao for a stroll. Anyway, the hotel has already designed various plans for us. Here I must praise the girl on the second floor. She led us to the garage and helped with the luggage, and helped with the guide. She answered all questions and introduced a very good girl who patiently took us around the ancient city. At night, I walked from Xueqiao to Wuqiao to see the night view and just returned to the hotel. It was perfect! I must stay here for a few days if I have the chance in the future!

Excellent!! Probably the best stay during our trip to China! The hosts are very sweet and helpful. The room was clean, tidy with a beautiful view. It’s located 15 minutes away from the very touristic area but there are still a lot of restaurants around! The owners of the hotel suggested two restaurants close by that served delicious food (see pictures). The owner helped us call a taxi back to the train station which costed 40rmb.

I visited Fenghuang Ancient Town with my father and cousin again. The service was good, there was a shuttle service, and gifts were given when we returned home. The boss introduced the appearance of Fenghuang and the travel photos, which made my father very happy.
The homestay is located downstream of the ancient town, and it takes about half an hour to walk along the Tuojiang River to the main scenic area of the ancient town.
The room is fully equipped, with a washing machine and a water dispenser. It would be even better if the towels and bath towels could be changed to disposable ones.
The room is very spacious, with two floors and two large beds. It's just that the sound of walking on the wooden stairs at night is particularly loud, which is barely acceptable.

Facilities: The facilities are newly renovated, more distinctive than those in first-tier city hotels, and the rooms are all smart. More importantly, the rooms all have small balconies, all of which are river view rooms, which are mid-range. It is really pleasant to sit on the balcony and drink tea with friends.
Hygiene: The room hygiene is very good, better than the ones I came from a few years ago. No matter how clean it was before, it would be very humid, but this time, it was really unexpected! Clean and comfortable.
Environment: Needless to say, the environment is good. Living in a stilt house with a life, looking at the famous Phoenix night view. Worth it!
Service: The boss lady is very enthusiastic! From the meticulous care at the door to the need for coffee and tea, the boss lady will take the initiative to help me get it ready and install it! A beautiful and kind-hearted beauty!

Warm welcoming and location is the best
Look for the number 158 on the blue plaque and you’ll find the hotel.
Love the way the staff here treat their guests. Very professional and helpful. The staff are always willing to help such as taking your heavy luggage up to the third floor and down to the lobby.
We asked one of their staff to give us suggestions on the places to eat. Since he knew we can’t speak Chinese, he sent us to the one with English menu and pictures. How thoughtful!
They also take you to the high-speed train station after checking out.
The room is lovely and the balcony is totally charming. You can just sit and chill there with the bridge and river in the background, enjoying people watching.
However, the door of the bathroom needs improvement.
Overall, this hotel is the place we’ll stay again if we revisit Fenghuang.

Really nicely decorated hotel. Id say one of the best hotels in this region. Given only four stars as our room was quite strong with cigarette smell. We informed the staff about it and they said they would send someone to fix it. I think what they did was just opening the window which made it worse as the cigarette smell was stronger when we came back possibly because we were on the second floor and someone was smoking outside. We didnt bother to tell them again as it was late and we just wanted to sleep. There was also some sticky stain on the floor that we asked them to clean it but it was still there when we came back.
Staff very friendly. A tea set is also provided.

The hotel is very clean. The reception by Xiaoxue at the front desk was great 👍🏻, like a spring breeze. The price for traveling during the National Day holiday is very, very reasonable, and great value for money. The room also comes with disposable towels. This price is for such a large room. Next time I bring friends to Fenghuang, I will stay in this hotel. The room also has an electronic fireplace, which helps with sleep at night and is very warm. The hotel is very quiet. The balcony rooms can directly see the night view of the river. It is the first choice for travel!

GGuest UserThis hotel in Fenghuang was excellent! We were both American tourists that speak minimal Mandarin, and the owners were very patient in communicating with us. The owners were overall extremely kind, and they even upgraded our room for free. They also even walked us to the bus station when we left. The room was very clean and it was a great deal at its price. It was a perfect stay, and I would recommend anyone to stay here as well.

JJadeOur room is clean and have a beautiful view of the river. It is away from the pubs and bar so its not as noisy at night. The location of the hotel is perfect for us with big luggages and bags as it is located just a slope down. The room is equipped with projector and toilet bidet which works really well. The staffs are very friendly and recomended lots of activities and attractions to us. Just below the hotel, there is a shop that rents the traditional costume. The package comes with the rental of clothing, make up (they do a really good job), and photoshoot. Would totally recommend this hotel to stay!!!

CcooltravellerThe hotel is located at the bank of Tuo Jiang river, about 100 m from Hongqiao bridge. In the case confusing about the direction, just call the hotel after alight from the car/taxi on the Hongqiao bridge and they would be happily to pick you up. We didn't have any problem to find the hotel ourselves since we are quite familiar using Baidu Map and the hotel location quite precise on Baidu Map.
Just like any other hotels with Diaojiaolou (Hanging Building) style in Fenghuang Ancient City, the hotel lobby is very small since the use of space is very important for them. However, the room that we stayed was quite spacious and clean with the balcony facing Tuo Jiang river. The owner was very generous to upgrade our room to Double King Bed (2 beds of size 180x200cm. The beds are comfy. The room comes with Chinese Style Tea Making Set on the balcony so we can relax enjoying the view of the river while sipping cups of tea. The waterflow at the shower was strong and the hot water worked well.
The owner was very friendly and attentive. She gave us the late checkout since our train leaving Fenghuang was late in the afternoon. Very recommended to stay here.

It was a bit difficult to find because I was not looking at the street numbers so I ended up in another hostel and the lady there helped me and brought me to the hotel. Most Chinese people I encountered have helped me a lot even though don't speak Mandarin.
I was offered a better room with views of the riverside, but I had a tight schedule and was alone, so I didn't need an upgrade, I just wanted to sleep there. But if you go with family or couple I highly recommend you take the rooms with views, the village is amazing at night with the lights.
In my case I went from the train station to the hotel through the Maglev and a bus. But I took the taxi to the train station, I think it's better, faster and cheaper that you just take a taxi to the hotel.

Location wise everything is walkable and nearby. Front desk was very nice & most of the staff. Restaurant is downstairs as well and open for lunch & dinner. There is also convenient store , spa, and lots more. Cleanliness 👍, spacious 👍 If you wanna have a great stay in Phoenix town. I highly recommend this hotel. 🫶

SShaneGood location if you want to be near the ancient town, but in a quiet spot. The main bus stop is right outside the hotel and the ancient town is about a two minute walk. Room is large and modern and bed is comfortable. You won't have much of a view on the backside of the hotel, and the front is likely to be a bit noisy with the bus stop during the day and the Aunties dancing in the square in the evening. It was nice that they gave a parting gift of local delicacies when we checked out.
A few improvements needed:
1. Hooks, or hanging racks, for towels at the shower and the sink. There is no way to dry a towel after a shower.
2. Wash cloth. For a nice hotel, a wash cloth (or face cloth) should be provided. They are not expensive.
3. The water in the shower will be affected by the toilet flushing and the sink faucet. It will get very hot. Quite a surprise given that this is a new hotel.
4. Car service, especially to the train station. We asked the front desk to call us a taxi. Their response was to walk us to the main road, which is likely 300 to 400 metres. Not ideal with two suitcases and several bags of merchandise. It also took some time to get a taxi, which made us start to worry that we might not arrive in time for our train. Note that when you arrive at the drop off are for the train station, it is quite a long walk across a square to the station itself. Be sure to leave an extra 5 minutes for this.
5. Communication. When communicating with the hotel prior to arrival, we asked for a room on the top floor, which is the 5th floor. We were assured this would be arranged. However, on arriving at the hotel, we were initially assigned a room on the 4th floor. We mentioned the earlier conversation and were initially told there were no rooms available on the 5th floor. It wasn't until another attendant arrived, and seemed to check a chat history on the computer, that we were given a room on the 5th floor.
6. Sound insulation. While the room is quiet, the noise from the hallway can be easily heard due to poor insulation around the doors.
All in all a good stay but some improvements needed.

LLilykong000There are literally so many home stays around this area. I think all of them are pretty similar. But according to my cousin, the one they stayed was really small and not clean.
Luckily, this one we booked was pretty clean and nice. It’s away from the bar street and it’s quiet at night.
We have a 4 years old so definitely a plus!
It’s super close to the bridge and you can see the river and lighted buildings after night, pretty beautiful.

AAlejandro Ch.This boutique hotel is run by really nice and helpful people. We arrived around 9:00pm to the high speed railway station and there were no taxis or Didi available. We took the direct bus from the station to Qifeng Square which was a 7min walk from Hongqiao bridge and they went to pick us up to Qifeng square to help with our luggage (by foot of course, it’s basically a pedestrian area) ☺️. They were also kind enough to drop us off again to Qifeng square and helped with the bus tickets. Awesome customer service.
The location of the hotel was in the middle of everything, the balcony was a highlight. Maybe cleanliness could be improved, and some things like the bathroom carpet should be replaced. But that’s it.
Oh, there’s also this thing: while Fenghuang town is beautiful at night, it’s basically a party town when the sun sets. There’s a bar opposite to the hotel as other comments point out, but that’s not the only bar in the area. Wherever you walk along the river you will find a bar blasting music. Such a beautiful town ruined at night by bad local government regulations. If you like to sleep before 11:30pm (when music stops), maybe stay somewhere far away from the river.
