The service of this B&B is very good according to the online ratings. I booked a river view room. The room is quite big and I am very satisfied with the equipment and facilities. I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. The Hotel's管家，莉莉，welcome us warmly when we reached the hotel. She helped us to book the hotel transfer from the train station before our arrival. She upgraded our room to a very beautiful one bedroom suite. The suite is well decorated, clean and comfortable with all modern amenities. The hotel even provide free transport to and from the ancient town scenic area. 莉莉 will help to co-ordinate for us. When we check out of the hotel, they even give us local snacks as gift. My husband and I really had a v good time staying at this hotel.

Awesome homestay, we arrived at the Phoenix Ancient City Railway Station, the boss personally came to pick up and drop off, we have a lot of people, the boss also arranged an extra car without charge. The weather was cold at night, and the boss added a heater to us. . ❤️ The homestay has a little girl (Xiao Liu) who arranged for us to watch the show and visit Zhushan Miao Village, accompanied and explained the whole process. I am very grateful. If I have the opportunity to come here again, I will definitely stay again. . ❤️❤️

This is my Nth time to go to Phoenix. I saw this hotel in December (I didn’t book it because it was too popular). This time I went with my family. Unexpectedly, I was lucky. I booked a twin room. The hotel is modern and minimalist. Style, clean environment, great! The mattress is very comfortable (I don't like very soft ones, otherwise my back will be sore when I wake up the next day). The comfort level of this one is just right. Checked in on the 2nd and 6th. It was hail and snowy weather in Hunan starting from the 3rd. It was very cold. I am very afraid of the cold. The room was fully heated. I slept well all night and slept until dawn. The location of the hotel is also super easy to find. It is right next to Nanhuali KFC. It's less than 3 meters away, and it only takes 3 minutes to enter the ancient city from the hotel. The hotel's girl, Xiaoyu, is really considerate. After talking on the phone, she came to pick us up (Thank you so much for such a cold day). She was very gentle in her words. What is particularly unforgettable to me is that because I got up too late for breakfast in the hotel (breakfast ended at 11 o'clock, we didn't get up until 10:46 😭) my niece wanted to have breakfast, and the hotel specially brought the best mixed powder and drinks. The child is very happy🌟

The owner is very kind in picking us up as we were lost at another bridge.
The room is tiny and clean.
An improvement that I would suggest is for the bathroom such that we may need to request for a doormat to dry your foot after showering

At the bottom, you reach Fengqiao Bridge. The price is about 27 yuan according to the meter. They will be waiting right at the bridge to carry your bags. The hotel owner was very enthusiastic. Before setting off to the ancient town, he added v and guided us in detail on how to choose the travel route. It was already after 7pm when we arrived, and it was raining heavily, but two people from the store still came to pick us up. The hotel location is very good. Riverside but far from the noisy pub and bar in center of the town but can walk to central of loudness in 5-10min.
All staff here are so nice. They provide a pick up and drop off service. And very easy to contact with via wechat.
Rooms are new nice clean well decorated and can look over to see the river.
Several beakfast shops are close to hotel like 1-2min.

AAlejandro Ch.This boutique hotel is run by really nice and helpful people. We arrived around 9:00pm to the high speed railway station and there were no taxis or Didi available. We took the direct bus from the station to Qifeng Square which was a 7min walk from Hongqiao bridge and they went to pick us up to Qifeng square to help with our luggage (by foot of course, it’s basically a pedestrian area) ☺️. They were also kind enough to drop us off again to Qifeng square and helped with the bus tickets. Awesome customer service.
The location of the hotel was in the middle of everything, the balcony was a highlight. Maybe cleanliness could be improved, and some things like the bathroom carpet should be replaced. But that’s it.
Oh, there’s also this thing: while Fenghuang town is beautiful at night, it’s basically a party town when the sun sets. There’s a bar opposite to the hotel as other comments point out, but that’s not the only bar in the area. Wherever you walk along the river you will find a bar blasting music. Such a beautiful town ruined at night by bad local government regulations. If you like to sleep before 11:30pm (when music stops), maybe stay somewhere far away from the river. If sleeping late is okay for you, then this hotel works perfectly for the night.

AAnonymous UserWe went there as a family of 4. We originally booked a room with one double bed and two single beds but once there, they gave us a free upgrade to a room with three double beds. The staff was very attentive during our check-in and gave us a detailed run down of where to visit and gave suggestions on the best route to explore the area. The restaurant opposite the hotel which the staff recommended was also quite delicious.
The room itself is generally clean, but our room had some areas with cracked flooring. And although we booked a room for four people. The slippers, toothbrushes, water etc all came in threes. There was a lack of power outlets in one room while the other had more than enough which is a bit odd.
We went in late December, which is considered as off-season for this area so there weren't many other tourists.
Another complaint to make is some staff can be found smoking in the reception lobby. This is probably a cultural thing and not an issue with this hotel in particular because locals here smoke everywhere.
The staff was also able to help arrange a car to drop us off at the high speed train station for 50 yuan. Overall, the location is not far off from the attractions (~15-20 minutes walk), clean, and had friendly helpful staff.

CcooltravellerThe hotel is located at the bank of Tuo Jiang river, about 100 m from Hongqiao bridge. In the case confusing about the direction, just call the hotel after alight from the car/taxi on the Hongqiao bridge and they would be happily to pick you up. We didn't have any problem to find the hotel ourselves since we are quite familiar using Baidu Map and the hotel location quite precise on Baidu Map.
Just like any other hotels with Diaojiaolou (Hanging Building) style in Fenghuang Ancient City, the hotel lobby is very small since the use of space is very important for them. However, the room that we stayed was quite spacious and clean with the balcony facing Tuo Jiang river. The owner was very generous to upgrade our room to Double King Bed (2 beds of size 180x200cm. The beds are comfy. The room comes with Chinese Style Tea Making Set on the balcony so we can relax enjoying the view of the river while sipping cups of tea. The waterflow at the shower was strong and the hot water worked well.
The owner was very friendly and attentive. She gave us the late checkout since our train leaving Fenghuang was late in the afternoon. Very recommended to stay here.

The B&B has an elevator, which is very convenient for picking up luggage. My parents were very happy to see the beautiful Fenghuang River view. The balcony is very spacious, with a hammock, coffee table and a chair. The scenery is very nice. The boss has a very nice family. My dad’s legs and feet are not very convenient, so the boss helped to carry it. They are very kind and enthusiastic people. The ancient city of Fenghuang is very beautiful. When I was a child, I was fascinated by the weather broadcast on Hunan TV. Especially the night view of Fenghuang is well-deserved. We walked around twice during the day and at night. They were both beautiful. We also took photos of the Miao ethnic minority and ate shrimp cakes. And Cuicui Miao Cake, mom and dad are very happy~

Location - pretty convenient as it is the edge of touristy area and less noisy. It’s located at a car park where you can easily get to the hotel.
Check in - was smooth.
Room - ok, near but the bed is super hard. The toilet is a fake Japanese style toilet that doesn’t work. View from the room is not bad. Can see the bridges.
Check out - we were asked to go out of the car park to get a taxi for RMB26 or if turn into the parking it’s RMB40. How can 1 turn 50m into the parking costs this much extra? It’s ridiculous and sounded like some collaboration between hotel and driver. If they can drop at the doorstep in the parking I don’t get why the extra charge when leaving the place. So silly.
This hotel is much more expensive than other properties and decently located but given a choice I may not want to stay here due to all the grey area points I listed above.
If you’re charging much more than others, your service must be much better than them too. Not to say bad, just not good enough.

It is located at the end river section, so you can still see the lighting up at night but not as much as the middle section.
The room was clean but the cushions on the chairs (balcony) were stained. Would suggest to not put cushions and just have Rattan chairs.
The room is located at the fourth floor so we had to carry our suitcases up. We read the reviews prior booking so we kind of expected it too and didn't come as a shock.
The staffs were very kind and help us to carry the suitcases together.
We had an early day next day and the kitchen staffs served us our breakfast prior to the official breakfast start time.
