A very beautiful hotel with lovely styled rooms and very helpful staff. Manager Wang's service was excellent. We had a language barrier but they still managed to arrange a pick-up and drop off to the high speed railway. The hotel is in a great location with a view of Fenghuang bridge from the room balcony. Unfortunately it is true what other reviewers say about the bathroom being poorly designed. Rather than a shower, it is a bath tub with a retractable shower head and water gets everywhere if you try to use it as a standing shower. It is also true that the noise from the streets, particularly the music from the bar next door, is very loud at night, but it stops at 23:30. However, we found these to be minor inconveniences in our stay, which was overall very romantic and hugely positive. We'd recommend this hotel to everyone.

This is my Nth time to go to Phoenix. I saw this hotel in December (I didn’t book it because it was too popular). This time I went with my family. Unexpectedly, I was lucky. I booked a twin room. The hotel is modern and minimalist. Style, clean environment, great! The mattress is very comfortable (I don't like very soft ones, otherwise my back will be sore when I wake up the next day). The comfort level of this one is just right. Checked in on the 2nd and 6th. It was hail and snowy weather in Hunan starting from the 3rd. It was very cold. I am very afraid of the cold. The room was fully heated. I slept well all night and slept until dawn. The location of the hotel is also super easy to find. It is right next to Nanhuali KFC. It's less than 3 meters away, and it only takes 3 minutes to enter the ancient city from the hotel. The hotel's girl, Xiaoyu, is really considerate. After talking on the phone, she came to pick us up (Thank you so much for such a cold day). She was very gentle in her words. What is particularly unforgettable to me is that because I got up too late for breakfast in the hotel (breakfast ended at 11 o'clock, we didn't get up until 10:46 😭) my niece wanted to have breakfast, and the hotel specially brought the best mixed powder and drinks. The child is very happy🌟

A five-star resort hotel with great hardware and very comfortable breakfast. We stayed in the private forest hot spring room. When we opened the door in the morning, the air was very fresh and I felt like I was breathing oxygen. The hot springs were also good and relatively quiet. It was a 10-15 minute walk from the ancient city. The hotel staff was very nice. Because we stayed late, the hotel also helped to release the hot spring water in advance. The lovely front desk Kerr provided excellent service. I recommend staying here~

The exquisite petty bourgeoisie and clean parent-child room are especially suitable for a family of three. All the staff are enthusiastic and the boss even gave me a souvenir before leaving. It was an unexpected surprise. The fruits in the lobby are changed every day. When I left, the boss enthusiastically packed fruits for the children. The location of the hotel is nice, it’s close to everything but not quite in the midst of all the loud bars and restaurants. The rooms themselves were fine, although the walls were a bit dirty, and much of the tile could have used more caulking. The entire counter of our sink moved if bumped. Also, there was something not quite right with our shower head. However, the bed was comfortable and you can’t just beat the view from the balcony. The owner was helpful when I took the initiative to add them on wechat as well. They gave us recommendations for food and advised us on where to do the river boat ride. Overall, a fine place to stay for a night in Fenghuang.

We went there as a family of 4. We originally booked a room with one double bed and two single beds but once there, they gave us a free upgrade to a room with three double beds. The staff was very attentive during our check-in and gave us a detailed run down of where to visit and gave suggestions on the best route to explore the area. The restaurant opposite the hotel which the staff recommended was also quite delicious. The room itself is generally clean, but our room had some areas with cracked flooring. And although we booked a room for four people. The slippers, toothbrushes, water etc all came in threes. There was a lack of power outlets in one room while the other had more than enough which is a bit odd. We went in late December, which is considered as off-season for this area so there weren't many other tourists. Another complaint to make is some staff can be found smoking in the reception lobby. This is probably a cultural thing and not an issue with this hotel in particular because locals here smoke everywhere. The staff was also able to help arrange a car to drop us off at the high speed train station for 50 yuan. Overall, the location is not far off from the attractions (~15-20 minutes walk), clean, and had friendly helpful staff.

I was looking for a long for the best place for me to stay in Fenghuang. And I discovered the perfect one on Trip.com. My expectations were high and I was not disappointed. Thé hôtel is in a little more quiet and authentic place of the city, along the river. I was supposed to travel alone and I took a small room, but with outside bathtub on the top floor. Then my friend told me he wanted to join me. I was a little lazy to upgrade, but on arrival, the hotel was not that busy, because of low season and we were upgraded to a vey nice suite, on fourth floor, with living room, bedroom and a huge terrace with river view and bathtub. What a pleasure to take a bath at night outside… The breakfast was good and full, Chinese style. The cleanliness was perfect. I stayed three wonderful nights there. Reading outside on the sofa, early morning, watching the slow boats on the river…fridge, space, amenities, nothing missing… I really recommend this high standard place, little away from noisy city at night, and little romantic walk to reach along the quiet riverside. Unforgettable stay.

The hotel location is very good. Riverside but far from the noisy pub and bar in center of the town but can walk to central of loudness in 5-10min. All staff here are so nice. They provide a pick up and drop off service. And very easy to contact with via wechat. Rooms are new nice clean well decorated and can look over to see the river. Our family of three stayed in a king-size bed room with a view. It was just the right size and had a wide view from the terrace. We could sit and drink tea and look at the scenery of the ancient city. It was so beautiful. The tree house was very unique. I was glad to have booked this room. It was better than staying by the river in the ancient city. The room was so comfortable. We stayed in a relatively high tree house. Although we climbed a few more floors, the view was much better. The staff were very nice and helped us deliver our luggage to the room. The type of house we stayed in also came with a free gift. Taking photos in Miao costumes added a lot of color to our trip. We will book here again next time we come, I love it so much!

Excellent experience! Very central location although not in a too noisy environment, considering the very commercial old town of Fenghuang can be very noisy until late. The staff is very friendly and eager to help, although it does only speak Chinese. The manager even offered me to join his dinner and to accompany him and his friend to a light and sound show downtown (although I'm not a big fan of those, I must admit I was very pleased and impressed to watch it). I totally recommend this hotel, which rooms are priced very fairly.

The hotel has parking outside, but it is only short term. They want you to park in a parking lot 1.5 km away, which is not that convenient. The hotel is just up the hill from the main area where the singer and light show is on the river, which is handy. You can also truly get a room with a view. The room was basic, with a hard bed and ok bathroom. Not a lot for the money, but Fenghuang is not a place to find good value. The wall was very thin, and all the TV noise from next door came through, which was annoying. The common areas and lift were very dirty, and overall, it did not feel like a high class of hotel.

Truly in a class of its own! The best place to stay in Fenghuanggucheng! Near the date of arrival the host, Mr Liao would urge you to add his hotel WeChat for check in information. Then he would give you full details on what transport to take to reach his place complete with a video recording of how to walk there from the tourism office. We really appreciate this thoughtfulness and thoroughness. It was such a sharp contrast to our other hosts during our 2-week sojourn in Hunan! When we asked them for directions to go to their homestays all they replied was ‘take a taxi’! On top of this Mr Liao and his capable smiling assistant Ms Chang went all out to ensure that we were comfortable. He plied us with Chinese tea, gave us tips on where to go, what to see and eat so that we could make the best use of our time at his lovely hotel. No wonder we decided to stay another night there (upon returning from Fanjingshan) after experiencing such great hospitality! The location of his homestay is superb, right in the ancient town itself but away from the noise. It was easy to reach and in a convenient location. It was also a short walk from the town where all the cheap and delicious food are. The bedrooms and bathrooms were in pristine condition. Clean sheets, comfortable beds and furnished with all the facilities that a tourist would require. Looking at the way he named his rooms with lines of poetry we sensed that Mr Liao is a well educated man and it shows in the way he interacts with his guests and how he runs his hotel. Kudos to you Mr Liao and Ms Chang. You both make excellent ambassadors for lovely Fenghuanggucheng!

The hotel is very close to the bridge just walk 5 mins. Good location to walk around the ancient city and along the river. The service is superb. You need to contact hotel in advance as they need to meet you at the parking lot and bring you the hotel. The breakfast is at the restaurant nearby (local chinese style). The noodle soup is very delicious. Special thanks to Xiao Hong and Ar Ming for very nice hospitality. As there is no Didi in Fenghuang, they helped us to book the car to the airport and made sure that we arrived at the airport safely. Although they speak very limit English, we can communicate with WeChat. The ancient city view at night is very beautiful but also very crowded with people dressed in the ancient costume and taking pictures everywhere. It was difficult to walk and enjoy the night view as it is a bit noisy because of the people and music from bars along the river. Day time is more peaceful to walk around.

A very beautiful hotel with lovely styled rooms and very helpful staff. Manager Wang's service was excellent. We had a language barrier but they still managed to arrange a pick-up and drop off to the high speed railway. The hotel is in a great location with a view of Fenghuang bridge from the room balcony. Unfortunately it is true what other reviewers say about the bathroom being poorly designed. Rather than a shower, it is a bath tub with a retractable shower head and water gets everywhere if you try to use it as a standing shower. It is also true that the noise from the streets, particularly the music from the bar next door, is very loud at night, but it stops at 23:30. However, we found these to be minor inconveniences in our stay, which was overall very romantic and hugely positive. We'd recommend this hotel to everyone.
