During the quiet season on December, our stay at this hotel proved to be nothing short of exceptional. The boss went above and beyond by graciously upgrading us to a more spacious room, setting the tone for a remarkable experience. Clean and Exceptional Rooms: The rooms were impeccably clean, undoubtedly the best we encountered during our three weeks of travel in China. The attention to cleanliness and comfort was evident, making our stay truly enjoyable. Friendly Boss and Staff: The hospitality extended by the boss and the entire staff was outstanding. The boss, in particular, demonstrated genuine friendliness, going the extra mile to enhance our experience. Not only did he ensure our comfort within the hotel, but he also shared valuable insights, such as guiding us to secure better deals for dinner through Chinese apps. Smart Travel Advice: One of the standout moments was the boss's strategic travel advice regarding our journey to Xian. He wisely suggested an alternative route, advising us to take a train to Changsha and then a flight to Xian, saving us from the potentially high costs of high-speed train tickets. We appreciated the boss's insight, and it turned out to be a wise decision. Generous Gesture: As we were occupied with purchasing train and air tickets near the reception counter, the staff surprised us with a heartwarming gesture. They offered a complimentary lunch for our families, showcasing their hospitality and making us feel truly valued. This unexpected act of kindness added a special touch to our stay. We highly recommend this establishment to fellow travelers seeking not just accommodation but a memorable and personalized experience.

This boutique hotel is run by really nice and helpful people. We arrived around 9:00pm to the high speed railway station and there were no taxis or Didi available. We took the direct bus from the station to Qifeng Square which was a 7min walk from Hongqiao bridge and they went to pick us up to Qifeng square to help with our luggage (by foot of course, it’s basically a pedestrian area) ☺️. They were also kind enough to drop us off again to Qifeng square and helped with the bus tickets. Awesome customer service. The location of the hotel was in the middle of everything, the balcony was a highlight. Maybe cleanliness could be improved, and some things like the bathroom carpet should be replaced. But that’s it. Oh, there’s also this thing: while Fenghuang town is beautiful at night, it’s basically a party town when the sun sets. There’s a bar opposite to the hotel as other comments point out, but that’s not the only bar in the area. Wherever you walk along the river you will find a bar blasting music. Such a beautiful town ruined at night by bad local government regulations. If you like to sleep before 11:30pm (when music stops), maybe stay somewhere far away from the river. If sleeping late is okay for you, then this hotel works perfectly for the night.

It's a great choice to stay at Fanyin B&B in Fenghuang Ancient City. The landlady is very enthusiastic and even asked a young man to pick us up. The location here is also very good. Most of the Internet celebrity spots are in her shop. The landlady also helped me. Booked evening boat tickets and Phoenix-like tickets, told us how to play and appreciate everything, and helped us find Didi to take us to the high-speed rail station when we left the hotel.

The service is considerate, careful and worry-free. The accommodation environment is very user-friendly and all kinds of facilities are complete. The location of the B&B is also very good, it is convenient to go anywhere, especially the street is very beautiful at night, many tourists take artistic photos downstairs, I live in a balcony room, it is very comfortable to drink some wine and blow some wind on the balcony when you are free. The room is very clean and the bed is big. The antique style reminds me of my grandmother's house where I lived when I was a child. It must be a five-star praise❤️

I visited Changsha with my girlfriend and then came to Fenghuang Ancient City. We have said it together many times during the trip. It is really important to book a good hotel! It is not recommended to go to the scenic spots on the mountain if you don’t have enough time. It’s better to go shopping in the ancient city. 2. It’s recommended to find a clothing store and order a package for shooting. Quite a few. My girlfriend’s photos are super beautiful, but she won’t let me post them here haha. 3. The horn comb here is actually pretty good. You can consider it. 4. There are many clean bars in the ancient city, and the atmosphere and singing are very good, but the wine It is more expensive, and the shops in the ancient city do not sell alcohol, so if you need it, you can buy some wine outside in advance and sit by the river outside the bar to enjoy! The last point, don’t make a fuss when you come out to play, be more tolerant of each other 😂

The guesthouse has quite a bit of character. However, the noise at night from the nearby pub and tourists at the riverbank might be a bit disruptive. The family room is spacious, great for families with kids. Overall, we are satisfied with service and the room.

Fenghuang on a Saturday is so incredibly crowded and touristy. The rooms here had very poor sound insulation so beware if you’re a light sleeper or request a room on the interior (with less light). The squat toilets were difficult for my older relatives to manage and the bathrooms didn’t smell great. But it’s an ancient town, so what do you expect. The staff were friendly and helped us with our bags to the road. It was great to be able to converse with them through WeChat as no one spoke any English.
