We stayed last night due to attending a wedding locally. We had no compliant with the room and stay was perfectly acceptable - friendly helpful staff, room to a good standard for a higher end budget range hotel, two separate beds for the children (a must for us!) Our average rate comes down to two separate issues combining. Other guests and poor structure design to the hotel. The family above us were quite heavy footed and the floors are not adequately insulated/sound proofed etc. We heard them return to their room just after midnight (sort of expect this) then we heard someone walking to the bathroom around 04.00 then on and off intermittently up to 07.20 where it had really ramped up to jumping, constant footsteps back and forth back and forth, being early we had the tv on but not on a high volume, we couldn’t hear it. We called reception from our room who helpfully went up to speak with the other guests but it didn’t really make much difference in fact we would say there was an increase and they were purposely jumping, there was no element of trying to tone it down. Whilst we appreciate the staff did everything within their capabilities to speak to the other guests and to an extent other guests actions are out of their control, Premier Inn are in control of the poor noise insulation between the rooms and the building design. It was a disappointing stay, I wish I had opted to drive the hour home now instead of wasting money to not sleep and drive home tired anyway. Please note this is my first trip advisor review having worked in hospitality management for over 25 years but this is our second poor stay in a Premier Inn in the last 6 months.
Very Good
