I was disappointed with my stay as it was not up to the standard I expect from a Hampton Inn. To sum up the hotel, there are 2 areas which detracted from my stay: 1) Tired and worn out state of the facility. Let me state first that this hotel is undergoing a much needed remodel and I did not stay in a remodeled room. Starting with the positives, the beds and pillows were clean and up to standard. However, the furniture (desks, dressers, etc) were riddled with dings, dents and scratches. There were stains on the floor and the tub was stained. I also noticed some mold in the shower area. The gym was small with 3 (old) pieces of equipment, only 2 of which worked. Hopefully, this portion of the review will be outdated in the next few months when the renovation is complete. 2) Lack of attention to details. The major surfaces of my room were clean, however, some of the harder to clean flat surfaces/edges of the dresser, tile backsplash in the bath room etc were very dusty. When I checked in, I walked by the breakfast area and there was a very strong smell of bananas as there were very ripe (like mostly black) still in the fruit basket. The breakfast was OK the next morning. I don't like runny oatmeal, but the oatmeal was almost like concrete and I had to pass on it.
