Large Relaxing Family Retreat In The Hudson Valley with Theatre and Gazebo

Host very communicative, cozy stay for 8 people minutes from good hiking and downtown Fishkill and Beacon, nice large lawn

Nice spacious stay with 2 large private bedrooms and a nice third bedroom. Location was perfect for our trip. Jose was a pleasure to deal with and readily available when we needed him.

So many beautiful common spaces with this home. Great place for a family or friend group gathering. Not ideal if you have young children as there are many Knick knacks within reach.Two of the 3 bedrooms are very large with sitting areas and bathrooms. They are on opposite sides of home which is nice for privacy. I’m used to VRBOs on the west coast where home furnishings and decorations are minimalistic. This home was quite different and has a cozy lived in character:).

The property was conveniently located to our trips many destinations allowing us to come and go as needed. Plenty of room for the six adults, while providing ample restrooms and seating when we were at the residence. Looking forward to booking again in the future.

What a great place to stay! So roomy and cozy! The covered outdoor seating area was a plus for the beautiful weather that we had. The house is well supplied from the kitchen to the bathrooms. Jose was always available to contact when we had a question or two. I would stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends.

The place is very dated to the 1970s. Which by itself is not an issue. There is an old out-of-use swimming pool in the back that now has just become a big eyesore. Just something to be aware of. The plumbing and appliances all seem to work okay. The kitchen was well supplied. The host communicated well and met our expectations.However, it was a huge turn off to see all the tiny little ants on the kitchen counter and in the bathroom sink in the master bedroom. The place is cluttered with personal items that we assume belong to the host – The main issue is that it leaves little room for you to unpack your own things and “settle in”. The biggest turn off in this area was the condoms we found in one of the drawers in the master bedroom.

Inside was clean but cluttered. Too many things for decorations, knickknacks. We could not get the washing machine to work. There were too many bugs in the house. Ants and other crawling insects were in the bathroom and kitchen. The front of the house had no curb appeal. We were very disappointed at first glance. Some parts of the outsides need finishing. Some of the windows we could not reach to close. However, it served our purpose. We had clean beds to sleep in.

Not a nice property. Bathrooms were dirty. Dirty toothpastes and toothbrushes had been left by previous guests and were still there. There were ants everywhere. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Towels and linen were old and didn’t feel clean. The place was completely cluttered with useless stuff, like a packrat lived there. The listing advertised a washer and dryer but the laundry room was locked so we couldn’t use it. The owners lived upstairs and were quite noisy until about 11pm.

Really relaxing trip for the night we stayed for my friends 40th birthday and very comfortable place. We where mostly out and about but comfortable and clean beds and great lounging.
