Tugay Hotel

Basic. We booked two double rooms but on arrival at 23.30 we were given a two bedroom apartment down the street, which gave us one bathroom between 4 adults and had a walk to hotel for bar,pool and breakfast. We stayed for 1 week and didn't see a maid. We had to clean and empty bins ourselves. Staff were not very friendly and work shy except for the night-shift man Tarkan who was very helpful and friendly. He also appeared to do most of the work. He was the only good thing about the hotel . Thanks Tarkan. We will not be back at this hotel but Calis is lovely 😊

Very disappointed and misleading from jet 2 .Booked a superior room on arrival we were given room 107 damp dingy cramped room at the rear . This hotel is in definite need of money spending on it . Old furniture in rooms (too much can't move or open doors well ) poor cleanliness . Ignorant owner only interested in the Turkish clients. Couldn't understand why there was a fridge in this room with a sign saying it is forbidden to bring food or drink into the hotel .that was a joke as the so called bar had poor offerings and the food at the hotel was also very low quality. Had breakfast once didn't bother again and the snacks sold juring the day very limited and not good. A group of long repeat clients asked if they could bring snacks in to watch the football as the hotel has nothing to offer in an evening and was told no. Yet the owner allowed the Turks to bring food in and sit at the tables eating. Cleanliness of the hotel was substandard the pool area furniture needs dumping the gardens were not tended too and weeds everywhere along with many stray cats . I felt for the rep who came a few times as she had an awful lot of complaints every time she turned up . Calis beach area is beautiful just stay clear of this hotel .

If you would like sleep this is not the hotel you should stay at, the other guests are inconsiderate slamming doors at all hours of the night, shouting and laughing at top of their voices, the walls are like paper Rooms are very outdated we e been here one night out of 7 and we want to book another hotel for the rest of the week

Due to our original hotel closing our tour operator moved us to The Tugay . The hotel is extremely dated and scruffy , we paid extra for a superior room which was not superior at all , very small and the worst balcony i have ever seen , just about enough room for 1 chair , didn't get any sun at all . The pool area is very run down , weeds everywhere , sunbeds have seen better days and the smell of cat urine was horrendous . Breakfast was typical Turkish which we normally enjoy however due to the foul smell and scruffy surroundings we very rarely ate there . Please think very carefully before booking as there are a lot nicer hotels in Chalis to choose from , Jet 2 need to remove this hotel off its website as it really is awful . Would not recommend and will not be returning.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and had the loveliest holiday. The staff are very friendly and so helpful. Lovely clean and comfortable room. I can honestly say I will be back again soon. I also noticed that the guests that were staying, have stayed many times at this fantastic wee place. I've travelled a lot in Turkey and have now found my very favourite place. I'm hoping to bring my whole family next time.

Second time I’ve been here. Not 5 star but great value for money. Family run business who value their customers. People re visit this place year after year , that says it all Room cleaned every day , you get what you pay for , rooms are tired but you meant to at the beach !!

We stayed at The Tugay in September for two weeks having booked a superior room. We arrived late and were taken to our room which in no way was superior. damp on the walls and ceilings, shower door missing which we later found in the corridor outside, shower head hanging off. room was dusty and dirty. the balcony was so small we had great difficulty in working out how the two of us could use it to sit out on. When we spoke to the rep and manager we were told that it was a superior room and that there were no others available as the hotel was full, and that in any case the rooms were all the same. This was definitely not the case, as stated by a previous guest it became so obvious that returning guests, some who had been going for 20 plus years were given the best rooms. or put in apartments over the road. The management cared very little for the complaining guests, and there were many. The rooms were not cleaned daily just towels and sometimes sheets changed. The pool area was in the main relatively quiet most days but the pool had mould on the walls and needs cleaning. some returning guests felt the need to take control of THEIR sunbed 24 hours a day by leaving towels and even putting small tables on them, again management did nothing but sit around all day drinking tea. The only upside to the place are Ahmed and Tarkan who work tirelessly to keep people happy. and the ladies in the kitchen are lovely. This hotel is in need of a complete over haul. the rooms are not what you expect, but the management don't really care unless you are a 20 year plus returning guest. We were very disappointed on the whole and would not recommend this place to anyone.

This was our very first trip to Turkiye and was a little worried when I read a couple of bad reviews but honestly I cannot believe that those travellers stayed in the same hotel as we had no problems whatsoever. The rooms are clean and cleaned everyday with fresh towels daily. We were on the ground floor and our shower was really good but my brother who was in the attic found his shower cold in the mornings but did get hot later in the day. Plenty of storage space with a nice little balcony. Breakfast was a Turkish breakfast and I particularly liked the spicy potatoes. The hotel has a small bar and a really nice swimming pool that never seemed to be too cold with lots of sunbeds but could do with a few more parasols. We set our sunbeds up under the trees which was nice and cool. Five to ten minute walk to beach front. Some constructive criticism would be that the shower could do with some type of shelf to hold shampoo and shower gel

One person's gold is another's rubbish. This hotel was gold for me on my recent stay. I did not have high expectations really, as this is a 2.5 star property I think but ratings relate not just to cleanliness and service but also to facilities (e.g. 24-hour reception etc.), so no matter how good a place is, not all could obtain 5 stars anyway. Myself and my daughter stayed for 9 nights. Breakfast is pretty basic and repetitive but it was always fresh and did the job and was unlimited. The snack menu is extremely well priced, cooked fresh and very good portions. I wish we'd tried it much sooner but wanted to explore a bit during our first few days. The pool was clean and not too cold. Always sunbeds available when we stayed - cushions a bit thin but extra available for those who want added padding! It's a really good size pool for the property size I would say. We were in a loft room. Shower nice and powerful and always hot water. Enough storage for us. Yes the hotel is a little basic but it's a lovely, pretty little place and the staff are amazing. Always a smile and 'hello'. They do not pester you around the pool either - or constantly ask if you want a drink or food which I've suffered in other places. I also recommend their boat trips. Good value and nice food.
