We stayed at The Tugay in September for two weeks having booked a superior room. We arrived late and were taken to our room which in no way was superior. damp on the walls and ceilings, shower door missing which we later found in the corridor outside, shower head hanging off. room was dusty and dirty. the balcony was so small we had great difficulty in working out how the two of us could use it to sit out on. When we spoke to the rep and manager we were told that it was a superior room and that there were no others available as the hotel was full, and that in any case the rooms were all the same. This was definitely not the case, as stated by a previous guest it became so obvious that returning guests, some who had been going for 20 plus years were given the best rooms. or put in apartments over the road. The management cared very little for the complaining guests, and there were many. The rooms were not cleaned daily just towels and sometimes sheets changed. The pool area was in the main relatively quiet most days but the pool had mould on the walls and needs cleaning. some returning guests felt the need to take control of THEIR sunbed 24 hours a day by leaving towels and even putting small tables on them, again management did nothing but sit around all day drinking tea. The only upside to the place are Ahmed and Tarkan who work tirelessly to keep people happy. and the ladies in the kitchen are lovely. This hotel is in need of a complete over haul. the rooms are not what you expect, but the management don't really care unless you are a 20 year plus returning guest. We were very disappointed on the whole and would not recommend this place to anyone.
