I have been staying for several weeks. I returned here after staying a few years ago remembering how wonderful that prior experience had been. However, it is different now. Despite the rather high rates, there is obviously a shortage of staff. The front desk is quite often empty and you have to wait for someone to show up. They don't strike me as particularly knowledgeable - probably brand new in their jobs. The most damning example is now that a few days ago they instituted a clean-it-yourself housekeeping policy. Housekeepers only enter rooms after someone checks out. For those of us who stay over (the longer term people that Residence Inn is supposedly designed to accomodate), they will provide any supplies you desire in you can find someone at the front desk to give them to you but you ultimately still clean it yourself. This appears to be a policy in place for the foreseeable future. I really wouldn't recommend anyone stay here unless it is only for a day or two. The place has gone seriously down hill. Management is overwhelmed and in survival mode no longer caring about the guests. I leave soon and will never ever return.
