Our flight out of Saint Lucia was cancelled by American Airlines last minute. I found Fond Doux and was so happy that we did. Everyone was welcoming and very friendly. We ended up staying two nights while waiting for a flight back home to Miami. We toiled in after the restaurant was closed and the chef was nice enough to make us egg sandwiches and a fruit plate delivered to our cottage. The property is in a beautiful location, very lush and jungle feel. The place itself could use some TLC and a good renovation. We used the free shuttle to Sugar Beach the next day and had a good time there.

Fond Doux Eco Resort was awesome! It is nestled in nature, surrounded by beautiful landscape. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage with plunge pool and it had an outdoor shower which was such a cool experience. AC in the rooms was much appreciated. The staff are wonderful!! All of them so friendly and welcoming. We love how they knew the details of our stay and were so helpful in planning our excursions. Perfect location for variety of excursions- gros Piton, sugar beach, sulphur springs. Piton view hike on the property is fantastic. Minimal effort with beautiful view. We also did chocolate tour and fruit tour on the property and had fun with those! It is nestled in the trees so the bugs/frogs do get quite loud at night if you are not used to it. We enjoyed the free breakfast every day. They do have a gym, which is not clear on the website- has treadmill, elliptical, free weights and cable machine. Overall, we had an excellent time and we would stay again. Absolutely recommend!

Fond Doux is a beautiful eco resort, situated within the rainforest. The view from our cottage was breath-taking and it's gardens have the most lush and vibrant colours making it an absolute delight to walk through it. The pool area is also stunning with its 3 pools and a colonial style gazebo. But the star of the show at Fond Doux is its staff. I must admit I've never come across such friendly, smiley, helpful and always incredibly happy people with such a contagious energy. From our lovely ladies from reception, to the staff in the restaurant (special mention to my little Disney Princess and her delicious cocktails!), all the maintenance and cleaning team within the grounds, the chap who did the chocolate tour, the lady making the delicious chocolate, the adorable gentleman by the gate and finally Rio, Coco and cinnamon. Having such lovely staff made our stay 10 times more special and it was an absolute pleasure to have met and spent a week with you all. I have no words to describe how amazing you all were!

This resort is the most magical place. My best friend and I had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at Fond Doux and we genuinely hope to return one day. St. Lucia is an incredibly beautiful island and I am certain that Fond Doux is the best place to truly experience all of the wonder that St. Lucia has to offer. The staff are truly incredible and really make the stay so comfortable (Jenny and Janella really made our trip special and they are excellent ambassadors for the resort and their country). This resort is truly unique and nothing you can replicate. Winding pathways through the resort, lined with fruit trees and flowers, take you to stand alone cottages that are all but swallowed by the most lush vegetation. The rooms are spacious, clean, and feel like home. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on our cottage’s large porch saying hello to the many native birds that came to visit. The only sounds you hear are those that radiate from nature. The beach is a short ride away (there’s a free shuttle or the resort can arrange a taxi to take you anywhere which you can bill to your room). There’s also a beautiful hiking trail that you can watch the sunset from on the resort property. I truly truly hope to return one day. St. Lucians are unmatched in their generosity, courtesy, and aura of joy that they exude and you’ll be lucky to be a guest in their country. I could not recommend traveling to St. Lucia and staying at this resort more.

Beautiful rustic property set in wonderful vegetation. Felt very secluded but would have been useful to have a car, otherwise very expensive to get anywhere.
Shuttle to sugar beach was a nice touch. The chocolate tour at the hotel was great, all be it a tad expensive. Dinner service at the hotel was slow but this was rectified on our 2nd night. No children’s menu available but the kids had a great time in the little pools & watching the chickens. The staff at reception could not have been more friendly & helpful. With a few small tweaks this place will be magical!

Our flight was canceled so we ended up here in a cocoa plantation late at night. It was rustic but quite beautiful & quiet once the sun rose.
Staff were helpful.
A bit like camping in a cabin but charming.

The hotel premises are amazing, you're basically staying in a botanical garden. Everyone gets their own cottage which is a very nice touch, it does feel isolated if you're staying by yourself. This is not a 4 star hotel as far as the rooms are concerned, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Could be amazing with more attention to detail and service.

Incredible staff always there to help and surrounded by tropical rainforest. You are in your own private bungalow with no television. Great pool and restaurants and bars to eat and dine it. Also offer massages and excursions.

This place was awesome. Just know that you’re staying in a jungle. WiFi was solid (unfortunately), but water pressure, bugs and lack of accessibility to restaurants are real. I’d go back and we loved our stay.
