Terrible value for money. £70 for thread bare carpets, mould around bath, stained bed base, laundry stacked in the corridors, lights that turned on and off, intermittently. Kitchen closed so no breakfast, which wasn’t mentioned prior to booking. Maybe worth £35 per night, definitely not £70

The hotel appears very dated, and very empty! No food service at all, very few guests it seemed and hardly any staff around. The building and room was very tired, a thick layer of dust on the back of the tv and the bathroom very dated. No restaurant service, and the bar was deserted, infact it was shut when I got back at 9.30pm, and the front door was already locked and no staff around at all. The few staff I did see were very pleasant. The car park was horrendously flooded and very dark so almost impossible to avoid the water, and as the back entrance was locked it was a long dark walk around to the front door. This hotel definitely needs a new lease of life somehow!

Staying at The Brambletye is not a nice experience. The corridors upstairs were lined with bags of laundry, the room smelled intensely of bleach covering up mould and their is no one to welcome you. The staff seem surely. We booked for a late arrival on a Friday night and found out that we could not under any circumstances arrive a minute after 11pm that no one would be there and that we would not get a refund. Because we could not get guarantee our arrive before 11pm we had to stay in London and were charged the cost of two rooms. The manager said we told you that there is no check in after 11 when you booked. Poor and disinterested staff + black mould + no food + plain old lack of welcome makes this a very poor choice of hotel for your stay in Forest Row. Go to The Swan or one of the many airbnbs.

The only positive thing we can say is the bed had clean sheets and the towels were changed everyday! Very sad looking, carpets have seen better days. No one on reception, no breakfast, trickle for a shower! We stayed 5 years ago for a school reunion and nothing had changed or improved since then. Massive pot holes in the entrance to the rear car park! You have been warned!

Arrived and went to book the restaurant only to be told it’s closed for a few days but found in the room saying the restaurant is under redevelopment reopening in April ! I’m here in June ! room very dated bathroom adequate the gentleman on reception is very apologetic and helpful but sorry to say smells so badly there’s a nice pub nearby the swan that does good food

I am so glad the kitchen has reopened. We had a lovely Sunday roast with friends at the Bram with very generous servings of vegetables, and the chicken was cooked beautifully. Great value. Can’t wait to go back as I want to try the lamb next time. :)
