Good basic hotel
This is a good basic hotel, think it may be in the process of being refurbished.
Had a problem with my room, they changed rooms and apologised profusely.
Friendly staff and good full breakfast.
I was visiting friends so was out all day.

Fabulous little hotel
The parrot is cool, breakfast was excellent, shower superb! Cozy little hotel that is very quiet. Would absolutely stay there again.

Nice break
Quiet enjoyable break. Rooms and shower warm, service friendly and hotel clean. Jus one or two bits needed attention, however, they have signs stating that they are currently upgrading. Breakfast was great to start you off and the pool and gym are a bonus. Location good for walks and facilities in the town. We would come back for another stay if in Forfar

Not for me
Reception was friendly upon arrival but room was essentially a box. Walk in wardrobe style bathroom. Parrot knocking about somewhere in reception. Pretty grim surroundings. Breakfast was very poor.

Bon hôtel de passage
Situé dans le centre de Forfar, letablissement est pratique pour une nuit de passage sur un road trip le long (et proche) de la côte.
Rien à redire en ce qui concerne les chambres qui offre le standard habituel outre-manche. La chambre edt même spacieuse.
L'établissement permet aussi l'accès à un espace détente doté d'une piscine pour se detendre en fin de journée.
Un bémol neanmoins en ce qui concerne le petit-déjeuner... En effet, la plupart des composants du "full scottish" semblent avoir été passé à la friteuse et sont gorgés d'huile (même les champignons)

Stayed at this hotel with my partner beginning of November. We had a terrible experience from start to finish. We paid £230.00 for 2 nights B@B. Reason for staying waswe were visiting near by care home for my mother in laws last days. 1. Put in a very basic dirty room. Bathroom was basic with no hairdryer. i slipped in the bath even with a bathmat down and bruised my leg badly. 2. We explained to reception as we booked directly at the last minute we were there for the reason stated above. We were put in a room next door to a room that was getting work done to it and had consent doors slamming. We had to spend night in Care Home so were sleeping during the day. Due to noise level we had no sleep. 3. Breakfast was terrible Sausages tasted of soap, Coffee was awful. We skipped breakfast the following morning due to the standard of food. 4. Got moved to another room the second night, TV not working. Shower Room was terrible my partner went to have a shower and the shower Tray flooded. On closer inspection the outlet was blocked with dirt and hair. Only One set of Towels. 5. No Evening Meals. We have stayed in lots of 3 star Hotels in Scotland and England and must say this was the worst we have stayed at. We have sent countless emails asking for some sort of refund due to our experience but all they offered us was a stay at their honeymoon suite ( when available) which we dont want. As the women on reception was helpful and did apologised and had a nice manner I have given it 1 star. As it is the only 3 star hotel in Forfar you would think they would try to upgrade the hotel, we stayed before about 8yrs ago and had no complaints but this time it was just awful.
