Emerald Dolphin Inn & Mini Golf

Room was clean but a bit out of date (decor, carpeting, etc.). Bathroom was clean and the water was hot. The mini-golf course was fun (we received a discount for the round because of our stay at the hotel) but in need of repairs. Customer service at the hotel was great. Our key was demagnetized after one day. Went to the office and the male staff helped quickly. He made two new keys and, when I walked back across the street to check the new keys, they still didn’t work! No clicking, no light, nothing. Went back to the desk and described the situation and told him I thought maybe the battery on the door had died. He quickly gathered the tools he needed and walked back to our room with me. Of course, when he checked our door, it opened immediately. When we checked out, I forgot a small ziploc bag that held our phone/watch charging cables. They called us within an hour to let us know we had left them behind and told us, “We just wanted to make sure you got them before you left town!” Super friendly and kind people.

This place exceeded our expectations. The room and facilities were very clean, spacious and the bed was incredibly soft. Checking in was easy, and we would stay again.

The Staff was friendly and when we arrived our hotel room was very clean. I really liked the convenience of it being down the street from Pomo Bluff’s. Parking was easy to find. It would of been nice if the mini golf was open during our stay.

We have never stayed at the Emerald Dolphin Inn before but booked it because it was spring break with kids and we thought the mini golf would be fun. Unfortunately golf is only open on the weekends and our stay Sunday-Tuesday, we had to hurry up and get that in first thing when we got there Sunday. It was OK, but not included with our stay, so really, we could’ve done the mini golf even if we stayed somewhere else. The course itself was very challenging for kids, let alone adults as the balls all went into the water almost every time so we spent most of the time trying to retrieve them. As far as the hotel itself, it was fine enough, and the people are very friendly. But I was disappointed as I did ask one day for housekeeping to come and change our sheets. That was my specific request that our sheets be changed as our children had gotten them messy and I wanted them changed before the next night. They did come in and make the beds but when I turned them down , the same sheets were still on there so that was unfortunate. It was bedtime then so I couldn’t do anything about it. When I told the man at the front desk the next day, he just kept saying he told housekeeping to check them and I said yes, but I specifically asked for the sheets to be changed, and he said, I know I told him to check the room. At any rate, I’m not sure what the miscommunication was because it was a very specific request. All in all, it was fine, but I’m not sure it would be where we will go next time.

Very helpful staff. Quite clean, but a little noisy. Tub has no bar to hold onto or any traction under foot. so it is a bit treacherous showering. When washing your feet it becomes very slippery. The facility is very close to an excellent deli and a good seafood restaurant (walking distance)
